I helped a friend move some furniture for his sister yesterday, and their mother took us out to eat at the Sugar Creek Inn, on US-12/WIS-67 north of Elkhorn, WI. Most of us had the stuffed french toast, and it was DELICIOUS!!! Reasonably priced, too. Definitely worth going back, guess I'll have to stop there on my next trip to Janesville!!!

Still drooling,

Thanks Noah [:D] - but you're right - unlikely for me [:(] - but I can look at the pictures and read the articles, heh heh [;)][:)]

I'm not sure if you've told me before, but how often does the WSOR passenger train run that is pictured in your signature? Looks great [:)][;)] (I've gotta admit - I do have a liking for good looking passenger trains [:)] )

Monday morning and I am alone in here.

Clarification is in order - it isn't proper to eat cat - no matter your ethnicity. Just ain't proper.

Driver home from week in Wyoming fly fishing. Longest week I ever spent! Don't like to be separated like that. Had to take out the garbage and drive myself to work. Lot of extra work!

Breakfast - cantaloupe and bacon, cheese and tomato omelettes. Yummmmm....,

Lunch - fre***omatoes and cucumbers!

Dinner - porcupine meatballs -

Happy Mookie

Dave, it's a long story, so here goes....

The WSOR had it's passenger fleet, consisting of two E9's, 1 F7, and a few coaches, sleepers, ect. They ran excursions periodically, on no schedual, untill I think 2001. A few months later, the equipment, all except for three cars to be used on business trains, was sold to the City of Middleton, a Suburb of Madison. After a year of running "transportaion services" like taking people from parking lots to the collage football stadium on game days. After about a year the operation went belly up, and the equipment was kindly stored by its former owners at it's head quarters In Milwaukee, WI. The equipment was never repainted, it ran as it was sold. Well, for two and a half years the equipment sat in storage, untill about two months ago, when Middleton decided to sell the equipment back to the WSOR. Right now, the engines are being reworked, as it badly damaged them sitting for two years doing nothing. All of us WSOR fans are hopeing they'll begin running excursions again soon. I never saw the equipment, the closest I got was seeing the coaches sitting out side the head quarters between the bushes last spring. If you want I can provide a few pictures, not mine, but I know a few links.

Also, the engine in the Picture was repainted about a year or two ago, it's now 2051, which runs up to my town fairly often.

Had to pass on the tomatoes, but the cukes were delicious!

Any budding poets out there? We've introduced music to the diner - how about a poetry slam?

CW - porcupine meatballs - hamburger, 1 egg, little milk and add rice - never measure, so just so it is mooshy and not too dry. Rice will take the moisture.

Make meatballs, brown on two sides, cover with tomato sauce and/or puree. Simmer slowly about 15 min - yum....

Easy to make and fairly fast!

Very Carefully -

And - you should add onion to the mixture - I don't cook with onion - I am allergic to it, so don't use it at all, but love it!

Guess that means we have fried squirrel to eat today. Think I'll pass on that. I'm
not THAT country. Altough I will eat rabbit.

Think I will have something light to eat, like soup, or maybe about 1/2 a bowl of
chili. Having trouble with the old jaw again. Or may try to eat a Marie Calendar
pot pie. Haven't really decided.

Who else is having what tonight?

Something fast - gotta go to a meeting, and do some prep for a weekend trip. Might even grab a sub from the convenience store down the street. Don't think they have squirrel on the menu....[:p]
