Very greasy coming home tonight. Stayed out of trouble myself, but almost got to watch an interesting collision. Waiting for traffic - string of cars approaching from left. Lead car has left turn signal on, is slowing down. Driver of pickup following him either didn't see turn signal, or just wasn't paying attention and pulled out to pass car, just as car begins turn (in a no passing zone, no less). No contact, but pickup paid visit to ditch and yard of house on corner.

I imagine driver of pickup probably changed certain item of clothing on arrival home...[B)]

Joe, supper is ready: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans
and corn on the cob. Apple cobbler for dessert (yes, there's vanilla
ice cream to go on top).

That is a "Lincoln" trick during the summer - we are in a drought and the rain separates and goes around us! Not Fair!

I think the rain has now stopped here. Supposed to turn to light snow
showers later on tonight through tomorrow. Not supposed to more
than a dusting, maybe one half to one inch of snow. We'll see in the
morning when we wake up.

Current local temp is 43 degrees. Down from 49 or 50 at 6 a.m.

Gooood morning everyone! Breakfast today will be: your choice of the
usual breakfast items.

Lunch will be: beef burritos enchilada style w/Spanish Rice.

Supper: Whatever you would like. Feeling generous today. You TELL me
what you'd like for supper, and I'll fix it.

And Moo: I'm with you and Driver: don't call me "guy". I am definitely NOT
a guy.

[:D] All east of Omaha - get your shovels out! It isn't major, but it is messy!

OK - Wednesday - let's see - Kathy in the funnies got married finally. Guess there is hope for me. Oh - wait a minute - I guess I am already.......

Garfield ok but miss Calvin & Hobbes.

Valentine's Day is Monday - so don't forget your significant other! Fair warning. I looking to get what I got last year - a trip Sat and maybe Sun to the train watching spot. Best Valentine, Xmas, BD present ever!

Since we both have worked in restaurants, we don't eat out on Valentine's Day! Major nightmare for staff - so if you do eat out - please be patient and be nice to the servers.
Restaurant work is hard work if it is done properly. And if anyone out there works in a restaurant and is a server - don't call people "guys". (Hi Guys!) I am not a "guy" and hate that general term. It even irks the Driver and he is pretty casual.

Wow - put my soapbox away and go to work!

Of course, Joe. Along with some other people who have recorded train
songs.

Also on special for tonight is: turkey and dressing, and fried chicken.
Figured I'd cover all bases.

That train simulator is hilarious. Mind you I shouldn't go 190mph through a crossing but the gates go down just seconds before I get close and they go down in warp speed and the arms don't break off.

Some folk went around the crossings and being an Acela, they couldn't avoid me fast enough but here is the kicker.......I passed right through them; they turned etheral.

Good morning everyone. For breakfast this morning, you have your
choices of the following: turkey bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy,
fried potatoes or hash brown, oatmeal & toast, oatmeal & raisin
breakfast squares, scrambled or fried eggs.

Have turned on the train layouts, and the CD player is playing train
songs.

Lunch will be regular lunch menu, and lunch/supper special will be:
steak and baked potatoes and garden salad.

Everyone enjoy your day.

Hey Kev....new recipe. Driver's best dinner.

Minute steaks - or round steak.....

Flour both sides - brown in oil.

Then drain oil and cover with two cans Mushroom soup - thinned with maybe 1/2 to 1 can of water (to taste)

Cook slowly on low heat about 1 1/2 hours. Makes the steak really tender and yummy gravy to put over rice, pots, whatever you want.

Yes, I know - it works for pork chops, too, but since pork chops are the driver's favorite food, I always get fork marks in the back of my hand reaching into the pan......
