Nobody sells Vernors in this part of the country[:(].In fact I have a very hard time finding ginger ale in anything less than 1 litre bottles.

Supper tonight is: beef stew. Didn't feel like making cornbread; so we'll
use crackers in it, instead.

I, too, remember the good old Vernor's (didn't lose much when it was shipped to the other side of the state).

Also remember their ads: "Va-Va-Voom!"

Radio Announcer reading copy this morning:

They have Trout Almondine and Orange Fluffy."

Beat my desk over that one. Will have to give up my taste for Orange Roughey and try that one!

Yum....

Crab cakes and cream of crab soup! Up north, pickerel and perch, deep fried! Ummmm....I'll have that here, instead of 'to go".

But of course - Bois Blanc Island and the amusement park thereon...

Vernors doesn't taste the same - weakened for the faint of heart, I suppose. Still, it's better than that sweetened water that others pass off as ginger ale...

El Gato Mookster get wet? Peri***he thought.[;)] Along with the ladder, a gangplank will be required to get out to the other end of the fawcet.

Gotta go, left one of Jim's planes double parked at the curb. (Denver-Atlanta-Cincinnati-Jackson MS-Houston-Denver in less than 72 Hours[xx(][xx(][xx(]) - I think the surplussed railroad operating managers now work for the airlines[;)])

Tree's ham & cheese special to go please with a couple cans of Diet Vernors (never seen that stuff at a soda fountain, ever!).....to go please! (pretzels and half a can of soda every flight only gets you so far!)

PS - Ed, one of the things I got to see while getting "edgamakated" was a detailed status of the battle with the Salt Mine/ Saline Solution injection well at Hutchison, KS....the sinkhole is within 30 feet of the main and almost 250 feet deep, mapped by an RC mini-submarine... Awsome fascinating stuff! [:-^] (and I don't want to see Cargill's bill$$$$ when BNSF & Co. get done!)

I worked at a concession stand a number of years (like, HS) ago that had Vernors on tap... THAT was an experience!
