The rain is nice. Getting a lot of salt off the car. Since I am doing my annual 3 months back in the trenches, don't have much time for routine personal chores. In fact my 2/4 birth date only gets about 15 minutes attention. Not a problem, I have had a ton of them already.
I have a great deal of sympathy for all of you that put in the usual 40+++ hours 50 or so weeks a year.

Have a good Sunday. Hope you NFL fans don't suffer too much withdrawal pain. (I was just informed you have a reprieve, all-star game today. Save the previous comment for next week.)

That's fine Joe: soup sounds real good. Don't know when the rain
started here, but it was raining when we woke up this morning.

Gee, what flavor cheesecake? I personally love cherry cheesecake. But
I reckon any flavor cheesecake is fine, also.

The beef stroganoff is really good tonight; and I don't usually care for it.

Nice and warm here tonight. Current temp is about 55 degrees. But
rain is headed this way, coming up from Arkansas. Supposed to be
here by morning.

They also pulled the plug on "Raising Duncan"[:(] and it's there too. Mooks knows why I'm partial to that strip.

May "Spaceman Spiff" and Duncan come back again!

WARNING - Based on Madam la Mook's description of her morning so far, all would be wise to heed the "do not disturb" sign. Failure to do so may result in Miz Mook leaving a deep inpression on you, in the form of long parallel grooves across your body!

Mookie, you read my mind: we will be having some kind of fish every Friday,
until Easter. Tomorrow night will be the first. Will have fried fish, tuna salad
sandwiches, jumbo shrimp,breaded oysters, etc.

Today's menu special: steak and baked potatoes.

Well, can't sleep; so, decided to come into the diner early. Got a big
pot of beef vegetable soup ready to put on later this morning (since
it's only 2.22 a.m. est here). Watching the trains on the layouts over on
the Coffee Shop side. Have made up some toasted BLTs for anyone
who comes in overnight. They're in the cooler.

Mookie!!! Kathy got married??? Good lord, that might kill the strip. Our paper stopped running her a few months ago. Sorry, I can't say I missed it too much. C&H was definately an all time favorite of mine.

Less than an inch of snow here. It must have been dropping off pretty fast, because Janesville is only about twenty miles to the west of here.

Larry, glad you were not involved. Sorry about the other person(s). We
are supposed to get less than an inch (enough to make it hazardous)
tonight and tomorrow morning.

(I'm glad/hope other person was able to make it home safely.)
