Whenever my wife and I go somewhere, I'm usually behind the wheel- I don't like not being in control of the car, and she makes me nervous. Therefore, I can relate to Driver.

Mookie, got your message about supper for Larry and Brian (IA)!! Per your re-
quest, I'll fix up fried dirt with sauteed mushrooms, "browned" grass clippings,
with a smattering of cheddar cheese.[}:)]

For everybody else, there will be: creamy roasted garlic tuna casserole.

For dessert tonight, there will be strawberry cheese cake, and a chocolate
cheese cake.

Mookie, I love the new sign!! Now, we just need to select a special place to
hang it up.

Hope everyone has enjoyed supper tonight. You know, supper was the creamy
garlic tuna casserole. I made sure that the garlic wasn't overpowering.

Think I'm ready for a slice of strawberry cheesecake. Maybe just before bedtime,
I'll get a small slice of the chocolate cheesecake.

But you didnt' have toset up all those lights . With experience and the right scene , you are sure to be known. Respectfully, Switch8frg.

Good morning, everyone! No, Mookie, I didn't make a garlic cheesecake!! It was
creamy roasted garlic tuna casserole, with strawberry cheesecake and chocolate
cheesecake for dessert.

Breakfast is ready, and set out on the warmer bar: turkey bacon, sausage, scram-
bled eggs, hash browns (southwestern style), sausage gravy & homemade biscuits
for you eating enjoyment this morning.

Saw the ladies over at the Community Center yesterday, and they're predicting that
we will be busy at the Produce Giveaway this morning. Probably will be, with an
outside temp in the low 50s this morning. Supposed to get up to 75 here today.

Everyone have a great morning, and I'll see everyone after I get through with the
Produce this morning.

Well, Joe, didn't get any strawberries today. We got cabbage, red potatoes, yellow
sweet peppers, and orange juice.

Lunch today will be: tuna salad sandwiches w/your choice of chips or fries. Doesn't
look like too many are coming into the Diner today (at least so far, that is), so I'm
just making the menu a light one today. Guess people are out and about today.

Mornin" All

This last night was much warmer. I woke up to temps in the upper 50s and lower 60s. It is about 65 now, and topping out at 80. [8D]

I have the usual on tap for today, more house cleaning of which most will not get accomplished. [B)] [8] So far I have managed to do 2 loads of laundry, well in the washer at least now to combine them and put them both in the dryer.

Gee, I get tied up all evening and don't get back to the diner....

Actually, Ms Mook - that wasn't a slam - just an observation. Like Driver, I'm usually in the left seat, so riding as a passenger isn't an accustomed thing. At least in the passenger seat you can see what's going on (good, bad, or otherwise) and prepare for it. Try riding in the back of an ambulance, where sudden changes in speed and direction are often unannounced. That's why there are a lot of places to hang on back there... They do recommend seat belts for the crew, but that's not always possible, especially with a 'busy' call.

CW left the building and left me in charge!

I can cook - kibbles and milk. Tuna, if you run the opener. Butter - you open the lid.
Maybe chicken if he isn't alert!

Don't worry, just me. [8D]

I thought I made a post a few minutes ago but can't seem to find it. [:(]

Anyway, Maine has introduced a new law in reference to animals AND domestic abuse. It seems that many men threaten the family's animals to keep a wife in an abusive marriage. One man even ran over the wife's deaf and blind collie on PURPOSE, while it laid in the driveway. She wanted to leave but said that if she did in less than 24 hours every pet and farm animal she had would have been killed. He had previously shot and killed several sheep.

Hopefully this law will protect some laides and their pets. I certainly hope so.

Jim- that's a new one, but not surprising I guess. Some people are really sick. Couldn't post for a bit there, had to get the dirt off my fingers. Can I have silverware next time to eat it with?

Brian - just lick your paws. Will put starch in your collar and make your eyes green!

Speaking of paws - where is Mutt? He has been MIA the past few days!

I am not a terribly violent person, but I think if someone deliberately runs over a pet, or in any way harms an animal, then they should experience the same thing. If they live - well, they did good! If not, well, tough toenails!

Sorry Brian: know I put silverware out for you. Someone must have taken your
eating utensils.

Braund91, [#welcome] to the Depot Diner. Since this is your first time in the
Diner, your meal tonight will be my treat.

On the menu tonight will be: country fried steak w/gravy, home fries, fresh garden
salad, peas and carrots.

Tonight's dessert: Mississippi Mud Pie.

Mookie, Mutt's been here: he's just been lurking the past couple days.

Joe: Your ears must be burning...Maumee & Western has just filed with STB regarding your favorite crossing frog.

Sounds like the M&W folks are a little frustrated with STB's slow pace.

Ok I have a question was today a national holiday titled Stupid Drivers Memorial Day? At least in PA. I don't know what happened but I ran into at least 30 dumb accident causing drivers today in a 20 mile radius. The winner of today's stupid drivers was this blonde socoer mom in an big black Ford Excursion SUV, she tryed to make a left turn from a straight only lane on a very busy road called 611. She must of held up traffic for about one mile. See...it's people like this that ruin driving for the people that do have sence and know how to drive. Sometimes I wish I had a tank like a Bradly or something.

Took my Fuel System exam today, let me just say it was hard, and took me 2 1/2 hours to do. I hope I got ao good grade.

CW I think I need 2 orders of the country fried steak and home fries. OH man I am tired.
