As short of power as CSX seems to be in my area - I could see it here, too! We've had Soo engines up here a couple of times.

Hey CW

Isn't it about time for some "Walk In Soup?" [}:)] [:D] [8D] I have not seen that on the menu in a while. You know we have to stay within budget !!!

I think I am going to go to bed early tonight. Today was trash day and I got up at 6:45 to make sure and get it out since I slept to about 8:30 the last 2 weeks and they came about 8. Today since I got it out nice and early they didn't come till almost noon. HOW do they manage to do that ??? I went to Wal Mart today looking for a bunny cake pan. They didn't have any of course. I'll take a cup of orange flavored tea and a bearclaw (throw the bearclaw on the griddle for a moment - they're great warmed up). I've seen enough cats claws for one week.

Sorry about sleeping in this morning. Maybe someone needs to give me a "wake-
up" call.

Larry, your orange-flavored tea is coming right up. Along with the bear claws, we
have an assortment of doughnuts this morning. Don't worry, Jim, they're my
treat this morning.

Is everybody planning on being here tomorrow (Good Friday)? I know most
businesses will be open, but also know some people take the day off for Good
Friday services.

I'll probably be scarce, as we do get tomorrow off and we're headed up to Minnesota to be with my family for Easter. I will be able to check in on the forum from my Dad's computer, though.

Here's a question for you all...

Why do I always show up when no one is around.

Am I in an alternate universe, or just suffer from really bad timing.

I know, you are all avoiding me. It's the dog hair, right? Mookie, I'm sorry, I try to get it all off, but the dog keeps shedding.

I've been thinking of shaving her bald (the dog, not Mookie).

Or not,

Anyhow, can I please have some coffee...and a doughnut, and a piece of pie—no make that some cake, with ice cream on the side (I'm working into lunch time, bear with me).

Tanks,
Josie

Josie - we are just the average Americans here - short attention spans! Plus we eat really fast!

Don't shave the dog! I have lived with dog/cat hair for most of my life and wouldn't be able to face the world if I didn't have a certain amount of it all over my clothes. In fact, since Mz Moo has been gone almost a year now - I am just now wearing clothes with almost no pet hair. Sad, isn't it! My pet rock just doesn't shed. Or move. Or eat.

Which is why Boa Constrictors are the perfect pet...they dont bark, scratch the door, sharpen claws on furniture, never get you up at night to be let out, you dont have to walk them, they never shed(hair, that is) and they dont care if you go into the bathroom and shut the door...
Added bonus, your neighbors never want to come over!

Lunch is ready to be served out on the patio:

We're having the following sandwiches: BLTs, tuna salad sandwiches, bologna
and cheese, ham, ham & cheese, cheese and lettuce. You can also have your
choice of potato chips or fries with your sandwiches.

Dessert will be: fruit cocktail Jell-O and oatmeal raisin cookies.

I don't think a Boa Constrictor would provide much love and companionship for its owner, though. The thought of a 10-foot-long snake curling up in my lap or in the bed next to me just doesn't cut it...

Oops, sorry if I ruined lunch for anyone- I'll take a ham, cheese, and lettuce sandwich please.

But they love to give hugs![;)]

Shedding? Try Dalmatians - walking snowstorms! You might not think a shorthair will shed, but you'd be wrong. If you're wearing a "sticky" fabric - watch out!

My old pup does a pretty serious shed in late summer (which appears to be due in part to some allergies). Keeps the vacuum busy.[:(!] Put the two of them together and watch the dust bunnies multiply...

Hi All

WHAT HAPPENED TO SPRING ? ? ? [?] [?] [?]

Our high today is going to be 88. I had to sleep with the windows open and the ceiling fan on last night. [:(] Mother Nature, this is April, NOT JULY. [:(!] [:(] [:(!]

My rule of thumb is if it hits 85 degrees then I leave the air conditioning on for the dog. BUT it is W A Y tooooooooo early to start using the a/c. [:(!] [:(!] [:(!]

I was looking for a little relief from the gas bill but if the a/c comes on now there will be no relief. [xx(] [V] [xx(]

I will be working Friday. It is a railroad holiday so I get paid regular time if I work or not, then overtime for working. [:)] I just can't pass up 8 hours of overtime for nothing. [;)]

The Deal or No Deal show was cute last night. The contestant not only left with $301,000, he also left with his new financee. He proposed to her on the show. And of course Howie Mandell had to get in on the act. It was just as funny as he is. I have always like HM and love his Bobby character.

Ed - not buying that nope, nope, nope!

Jim - it will be 88-89 here - and here is a long way from you, so must be a national thing. Our nites are still cool - (50's) - so wear summer jammies and sleep with electric blanket and fan on. (Toes get cold!)

Tree - maybe dog embarrassed by polka dots and trying for new look (pink)?

Someone need a haircut? I have my clippers ready.[}:)][}:)][}:)]

Supposed to get to 75 today, and tomorrow it's forecast to hit 80. I think we've gone straight to summer from winter, but I'll take it! I guess we're going to get some rain tonight, then off and on chances all weekend.

CW, a pair of ham sandwiches with chips sounds good for lunch.

As for tomorrow, I'll probably stop in quick before I drive to Burlington, then check in later that night on my parents new desktop.

See y'all later.

Dan, I don't really cook any wild game. Every once in awhile, I might get some
cornish game hens, but that's about it. Unless you get any wild turkeys, may
take you up on that about Thanksgiving and Christmas time.

Supper tonight is going to be: salmon patties with your choice of spinach, or
broccoli spears in a butter sauce, and pinto beans and cornbread.
