That's not bad. I just woke up from a nap and thought someone posted a picture of an Amtrak train pulling an outhouse. I clicked on the link and realized I need to wear my glasses when I first wake up. It is actually the Amtrak State House outbound.

Check it out, it is a nice picture. But no out-house.

Yeah, Tina, you sure do. But I, for one, am confident that you can
handle it.

Hi again. Yeah, I have five kids in the choir so far, with other ones interested, especially after the uplifting way they sang today. I have 15-20 people in my main choir, a pipe organ to play, and some up and coming guitarists. Sometimes I have a violinist, a celloist, and flute. And none of these people know what a railfan is. I have a big job ahead of me.

Tina, that would have been something to see! Used to teach two, three and
four year olds in Sunday School; then turned around and had them, and the
little bitty babies in the nursery during Morning Worship Service. They can
really lift your spirits, that's for sure.

to dharmon and all, after a Sunday morning of hearing two four-year olds belt out "Awesome God," I found myself lifted out of my "feel-sorry for myself blues." Don't worry, you're cool.

Think while it's quiet in here, I'll get some baking done for this week. Since
Larry took care of all the pies this week, I'm baking some cakes to have on
hand. The prerequisite chocolate cake, yellow cake w/caramel icing, pineapple
upside down cake, and a carrott cake.

I kinda know what you mean;it is "supposed" to be warmer.
I sorta feel bad for the people that were down on the Ohio River
yesterday, watching the "air show" & then the "Fireworks".
I imagine they got a bit 'chilly'.(much warmer in the house, watching
on the T.V.)
Although,we have had 'snow' on Derby Day before.

Sarah, for my other daughters the umpires would clear the field at the first rumble of thunder. Game over. But I hope you get the chance to really run those bases!

Wish I could join you here for dinner, but I'll be working, as usual. AMG

Sarah, good luck with your game.

I'm down for a big plate of fried potatoes. Please top em' with chopped bacon.

Weather here in sunny southern California is ...well... sunny. But we did get a shot of rain last night.

Mmmmmm breakfast sounds nice :) I think I'll take some bacon, pinapple, some cream of wheat, and biscuits and gravy. Yes I tend to eat a lot but, I can't resist this food! It tastes so good!

Well weather hear today is going to be 50 something degrees, with wind. We're expecting a thunder storm later on in the afternoon. This is bad and good news for me. I have a softball game to go to at 2 :30pm, the game isn't canceled, and I have to play in the rain on a really crappy feild :( Well I'll be looking forward to din din after this game. lol

I've said it before. It is the revenge of the Canadians. We forum members in the lower 48 must always be very kind to our northern brothers and sisters or they will get us good.

For now, we're tough and I guess we will make it through.

Good Sunday morning, everyone. Looks to be a very cool, and sunshiny day
(at least here in Louisville). Our high today will be in the very low 50s. MIGHT
reach 52 for a high.

Sunday brunch will include your choice of: bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy,
hash browns, fried potatoes, grits, cream of wheat, oatmeal, toast, fresh fruit,
including canaloupe.

Supper tonight will include the leftover beef vegatable soup, beef stew w/corn-
bread, and chilli.

Have turned on the train layouts, and railroad sounds and songs are playing
on the CD.

As I've said before - posting unrelated drivel is just plain rude. You suggest that we can simply skip your posts. If you dislike the Diner so much, you can simply skip the entire thread. And if the person who complimented you on your posts likes them so much, they can read them in the separate news/weather thread where you do post them.

You seem to love to make yourself the wronged person - a common ploy of those who want to disrupt something. You also seem to ignore that for the most part no one has said you can't post what you are posting. In fact, most people have suggested that you start a thread just for your news tidbits. That's hardly censorship. It is merely suggesting that you aren't saying what you want to say in the appropriate place.

It's really too bad that because some few people have the opinion that the Diner is a waste of time, they feel it is their duty to destroy it. Doesn't THAT constitute censorship?

Chad, the chilli is good. Walt and I both made it, this time. With the mutt
being a former firefighter, he doesn't like it if it is not fire hot. Think this pot
is the best we have had for quite a while.

Mikey, here's a biiiiigg piece of chocolate pie for you, and a BIG slice of
chocolate cake. Enjoy!!

CW, the chilli sounds so good. Having just moved to a new town all I eat these days is fast food, and Coco's or Denny's. Not that those places are bad but I sure do miss home cookin.
