Hi! Just stopped in for some of that fresh (I hope!) strawberry pie.

Sarah must still be recovering from our train-watching phone call. In less than 45 minutes we had two scoots, followed by five freights (one coal, one hopper, two stacks, one pig).

Went to LaGrange this morning with wife and daughter--the pickings weren't nearly as good. One intermodal, one light-engine move, and a local job. We probably missed a pair of dinkies while we were in the grocery store. But the time spent along the tracks was longer than it had been last night.

Hey! I'm a nice guy with flashing lights on his car (truck actually)! They won't give me handcuffs and a gun, though...

Mookie: I'M HERE and ready to get this diner going!! We'd all
better watch out, though: I may burn up the tracks the diner's sitting on,
from going so fast in here today.

The breakfast Mutt set out is: biscuits and gravy, turkey bacon, sausage
patties and sausage links, oatmeal, toast, have several jars of jelly, jams
and preserves set out to go with the biscuits and toast.

Dinner (lunch) and supper will be: tuna casseroles: one is creamy roasted
garlic, and the other tuna melt.

Desserts today will be: apple, cherry and peach cobblers, and strawberry pies.

Ah - a post card from Tree - I was just wondering if he would send one!

Chad - He is gradually getting there. Thank you! As I told Houston Ed - getting old ain't for sissies!

MC - I was getting ready to do a gizzard-ectomy on him! But I knew it wasn't fatal - he still wouldn't let me drive the car!

Cheese - welcome - we LOVE cheese in the diner!

We are going to have to put Sarah and Carl at separate tables together! You guys leave the Mooing to me!

Now y'all sit down and wait - CW will be here shortly. You didn't really expect me to cook did you? I do a mean cold cereal, however......

Moo......k

tree68 I'm sorry to hear about your son. I hope he overcomes the pain. Well, despite this you have fun in Folkston!

Ok um. . .. nothin happened to me today really. I went to school and had a lesson in my automotive electricty class about changing batteries. WOW wasn't that fun!!!! lol. Something funny did happen in theshop today. I turned on the radio in one of our juncker cars and turned it to the classical station and blased it in the shop. I beleive Tchaikovsky 's 3rd movement from symphony # 6 was on. Some of the guys didn't like that, some didn't care. They eventually changed it to the rap station.
I didn't see any trains today :( :( However, I did get to hear some NS transmissions over the scanner, on my way home from school.

My newlywed son can pretty well fill you in on most pain meds - he's still fighting some nerve damage from surgery several years ago and has probably used most of them...

The newlyweds are back from their nuptials on St Lucia (in the Caribbean). It was just going to be the two of them, but on the way down they met another family headed to the same place for the same thing, so they all partied together...

Meantime, I'm in sunny Florida. My travelling companion/co-worker had to back out due to duty commitments, so I'm off to Folkston Thursday afternoon for some trainwatching. Unfortunately that means I can't do much in the Diner this week, since I'm tied up in briefings all day, and enjoying the largess of the conference sponsors in the eveings....

Well, after 7 doctors, 2 narcotic prescriptions and bottles of ibuprophen, we are doing well.

Drs kept looking for a hernia and prescribing ibupro.....Then pain got so bad we had a CT scan which showed what I always figured - nothing in there. Driver would have stayed attached to morphine drip indefinitely, however. Given narcotics for pain, which immediately caused hives and major nausea.

Back to drawing board in which Mz Moo held a nurse hostage ( we all know they do all the work) and threatened to shut down Dr office by holding her until we got some medicine that worked. After pain from the end of March to the 23rd of May - we got some relief. Mild pain killer, few side-effects, nurse released in good condition.

Driver almost giddy with relief. This one will cause some reaction (hives) but if only take when pain bad at bedtime, we may almost get a full night's sleep.

Now about those still noisy neighbors.

I am actually making recordings....if they turn out well, I may put them on the market!

Need to make some $ for dr/hospital bills!

Good afternoon all.

Sorry to hear about the driver Mookie. Hope everything works out. I know what it is like to have noisey neighbors, It really sucks.

CW...biscuits sounds great. I'll take mine with lots of gravy please.

I havn't had much time to do the forum this week. I had to let a guy go last week and have been interviewing, hireing and training a new guy.

Just thought I would drop in and say Hi.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Thank you Joe, for fixing the food today. I had to leave early this morning,
and handed out the numbers for produce today. The lady who normally
hands out the numbers told me last Tuesday that she wouldn't be here
today because of a doctor's appointment clear across the county. I handed
out 64 numbers to clients this morning. Got iceburg lettuce, romaine lettuce,
sunflower seeds, and more canned biscuits.

Mr. Mutt stayed home and slept: neither one of us went to sleep until
about 1, 1:30 this morning. So, Mutt stayed in and slept until about 8.

No music - just very noisy neighbors from about 7 pm to 3 am. Lots of kids - residents and visitors that are using the duplex as a playhouse and the stairs are used as stairmasters. They jump off the furniture, bang the doors and screech. Not scream; screech. On their last warning, and I am taping the noise to make it stick!
