cw thanks for the carry out box. it made a great snack.the last I talked to nora she was still planning on coming this way and heading for chicago for a concert tonight.it was a little wet when i let the dog out but that wind is starting to howl.so we'll see what it looks like later this morning.

CW, I'm so sorry for your loss, but it's a great feeling to see you back to the usual, however, I must now insist we prepare for you some of our faves. So sit down and relax! You've been through quite enough and deserve a break.

How does shrimp with homemade horseradish in cocktail sauce sound for an appetizer? Main dish is beer chicken over hickory, cooled and sliced in a white rice pilaf. Baby spinach decor, sauteed green and red peppers with onions. I know it's going into the morning on the east coast, but this would be great for a 4 O' Clock dinner. Actually ... come to think of it, this would make a pretty good breakfast.

...It's a bit after 7 here in Central Indiana and the "it's coming" warning from Jen yesterday seems to be false alarm.....Nothing on the ground. Just went out to the mailbox for the paper and one or two snow flakes in the air with 39 degrees.....And if it's moving like they said it would I'd say it's already east of us...Actually I think the bulk of it went across Michigan and the top edge of Indiana and so on...Did hear a once or twice sound of thunder last night but didn't even get much rain....

Winter wonder land! Wonder when my step son will get up to get the 5 or so inches off the driveway. Temperature now in the high teens but forecast to get above freezing by mid day. With the sun out, the roads should be in good shape by the end of the day.

I won't complain too much. By 10pm last night, a small town on the state line east of here reported 7.5 inches and probably got one or two more on top of that.

Coffee for now. Got to look at some other stuff.

Lunch today will be served around noon EST, and will consist of burgers and
fries. Don't want everyone to be too full for the regular Saturday night pizza fest!!

...All the nasty stuff really must have passed and headed east of us...Haven't checked the radar but we are maintaining a partly sunny day and pretty good wind gusts here too.....Did some walking and it was a bit nasty on the face but temps are now in 40's....So we're not doing too bad.....Lunch time, must head out to the Pizza King...{Has anyone ever heard of that brand}...It's famous around Muncie town...Also known as Sir Pizza in Florida....but have never seen one of those down there. But it all originated here in Muncie. Over a dozen of them here.

Sorry, not me. It would be my luck the man would show up to take ramdom samples. Ya know what I mean? [;)] Plus I like my job. It's not train service, but I have a regular schedule and know when I work and don't work (well for the most part, I did get an OT call at 8:30 am for 11 am the same day) . Plus 2 days a week I get to drive one of the railroad's truck. [8D]

well we sent nora and rick on to Chicago after a brief stop in Bryan off the turnpike.after they got back on we followed the old wabash line and caught a triple crown coming north at the ohio/indiana line.the wind makes in a little cooler today but the sunshine is nice. will be ready for pizza tonight.

Joe, it sounded to me like Nora and Rick's Chicago weekend wasn't going to have much time for railroading. I'm looking forward to their return later in the year, though!

Our weather: it was ugly when I drove to work last night--couldn't get above 35. Much of the time was spent behind drivers who were going 20 and straddling the lane lines (oh, yeah, sure, they weren't visible, but still, the curbs were!). The snow didn't affect work too much, thankfully. It kept up until about 4:00 where we were, but by the time I got off, a little before 7, the sky was clear above, with a wall of clouds to the east.

I wonder if Cher remembers what I like on a pizza. [;)]

Yes, Carl, I do remember what you like on pizza: pineapple!

The first round of pizzas are ready; First off, we have the following:

pineapple, supreme, sausage/pepperoni, cheese, and three meat
pizzas are ready for consumption!!

The second round of pizzas will include the above mentioned, plus
anchovie.

For dessert tonight, we have dessert pizzas: apple pie filling pizza,
and cherry pie filling pizza. Hope everyone enjoys them![C=:-)][dinner]

Good eveing everyone how are we all doin tonight fine and dandy. I hope well the snow we got last night has already has started to melt which is a very good thing because I really don't like snow cause. I'm ready for spring and the warmer temps to come back but anywho. What is this I hear about Chicago getting 8 inchs of snow? hehehehe. I know I wine about snow all the time but, I really do want some. I haven't been able to go snowboarding all but one time this year so far due to NO SNOW! Do you know how hot it was here in Philadelphia today, it was hot enough to wear short sleves, it felt like spring. Now, I like spring and I like summer, and autum but, when it's winter time I'm expecting some SNOW!! This is way I'm over here in the great state of Pennsylvania to experience all 4 weather seasons. Well, thats not the main reason I was born here. lol

Good morning, all! Well, our weather here is cool, no rain or anything. The
rain is supposed to come in later tonight, if I remember the report correctly.

Joe, thank you so much for putting on the coffee and fixing the juice. Always
appreciate you doing that for me, when I'm late getting in here.

Sunday breakfast buffet will be: turkey bacon, pancakes, waffles, syrup,
sausage patties, sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs.

Actually have Sunday Dinner ready: we're having roast, potatoes, carrots,
and onions all cooked together in the Crock-Pots. The other side dishes
to go with the roast: green beans, creamed corn, and nice, hot crescent
rolls.

Dessert today: pecan pie w/ice cream.

You're welcome to all of our snow that's clogging the streets and sidewalks--the rest of it looks pretty good. It's still stuck to the trees, etc., this morning. We probably got less than six inches locally, but some places north of here got up to a foot.

Carl, I had this feeling you were going to say something like that. lol [:D] I don't know what it is with me and snow, I just love it! However.............however I don't like driving in it, because of all the stupid people........ Other than that I wouldn't mind driving too much. I think we should go back to the days of the great horse. I love horses and, can ride one better than I can drive a vehicle! I can only ride English style, not western though.

CW I think I will take everything on the menu tonight! When I get back from the gym, and other various errands I have to run today.

Carl, I agree with Joe: you can keep the snow! Know we'll get it soon
enough, though, and I'd rather do without it.

Anyone who is interested in a late lunch/early dinner, the roast, taters and
carrots are ready. It's all in the Crock Pots on the counter, so just help
yourselves. And the pecan pies are in the pie safe on the counter.
