[}:)]Yeah, I know, modelcar. But I have been on a low cholesterol diet before and you
know what? I GAINED WEIGHT on the diet. Followed the blasted thing to the letter,
to a T, and STILL gained weight, and had high cholesterol.

Pitched the diet, ate what I wanted, and started losing weight, and cholesterol went
down. As long as you don't have sausage and sausage gravy every day, it's not
going to do too much harm. It's when you over indulge that it's BAD.

Modelcar- just one Pizza King pepperoni will kick that cholesterol out around Pluto! But they are worth it.
I had a friend tell me once that she was eating rice cakes, plain lettuce and green tea for almost every meal, and that she would live much longer than me, with my burgers and tacos and cheesecake and stuff. All I could say was "You call that living?"
CW- Sorry to hear about your loss, in my life I have found that loosing a close friend is about as bad as it gets. These were people that you chose to be part of your life, and when they leave, it takes a huge chunk of you with them.
Going to see a band tonight that is billed as the best Beatles act going. Hope so, otherwise I'll have to wait til those junk foods kill me to hear their music played live.
Take care, folks.

Wow....I hit a nerve....And Tree68, I just read that same report in the paper too today. It's hard to believe WHAT is really good and bad for us anymore....I do know one thing, from a majority of Dr's....Keep the cholesterol under control and chances are one will be better off.

It'll be burgers on the grill for dinner today. I'll limit myself to two. Don't know what goes with it yet...baked potatoes, perhaps? I heard some discussion of corn on the cob, but it might be too late for that.

"Supper" (at work) will be fruit and a small salad. Can I get that to go here?

Joe, send some of that casserole this way.

Carl, burgers is fine and dandy for today. Of course we have to have the corn on the cob. Baked potatoes are great also. Use margarine instead of butter though, and
you won't have to worry as much about the C word.

I'll take a Cappuccino, I need a pick me up, as I'm real tired. Dad and I went up to La Crosse WI yesterday, for a thing they called railfair. It was a mix of Model RRing and Railfaning. They had a fairly small bunch of tables with dealers selling Model Railroad stuff. I spent about 60 buck yesterday, including my new bueaty a really nice E8/9 model made by Proto 2000, a division of life like. Runs like a bueaty. Like I said it was part railfan show as well, so the BNSF and the CP both had a few locomotives on display in different parts of the city within a mile of the park where the show was held. CP had a like New AC4400, it only had about 4 days running time. BNSF brought out one of there old GP39-2's, in BN green paint. A little wheathered, but wasn't bad. It even had seats in it from my Dad's company, Seats inc. We also saw two former SOO line units switching out a hopper train in the CP yard. We saw two BNSF trains leaving the BN yard as well. Got to go post the specifics of the trains in the recently I saw thread, so I'll stop back in again later.

She isn't good at housework either. Man oh man, how I wish she could "pick up" after herself and run the vac. [;)]

I have 3 of the Proto 2000 E 8/9s all in Frisco paint. [;)] [:D] It is good that you grabbed one while you could. It tooke me almost 2 years to get my first one, and it was second hand but supposedly never used and still in the original box. The guy told me they bring them out about every 5 years or so. A year ago Christmas I found the other 2 and had them set back until I get get there for them. I think they do the limited runs on purpose to create more demand for them so when they bring them out they sell like hotcakes.

Dinner was good, but no baked potatoes (they take too long) or corn on the cob (not in store). Had a fresh spinach salad with the burgers.

I don't worry much about the C word, since the medication appears to have things nicely under control. Those will probably be the only beef I'll have for about a week, though.

[#ditto] on the coffee, Mookie.

How about some pancakes and bacon this morning? Have some turkey bacon which
is really GOOD. Especially for those of us who are concerned about the C word.

Well Jim, she didn't get much acompliched anyway, as somebody left the refrigerator open and she started drooling all over the dishes she had just "cleaned" in her own way. By the way glad your back around here, things were getting caotic in more ways than one!

I wouldn't be suprised if they only relese them once an a while, as they usually are fairly expensive. This was the cheapest one at the show. He was asking 45, but I asked if he'd take forty, but I should have asked 35 first, as he was pretty quick to take 40.

Sorry Mookie: didn't have chicken tonight. Walt had spaghetti and I ate a bologna
sandwich. That's all I wanted. Not sure yet what's on the menu for tomorrow.

You got any ideas?
