....Must shut down the computer and get ready to go watch our Pacer basketball game which is being played on the west coast tonight.....So hence the late start. Dave I suppose you have just a few hours to work yet in your afternoon.....and probably with the nice warm sun shining.....This is about our coldest period of the season but so far January is not too bad....It's been rather mild.

Hey Jay - interesting question. [:)] Ed asked me something similar.
Debbie is interested in trains to an extent because that's part of what I am interested in, and we are both keen to get to know what each other is interested in.

I have have an N scale layout about half completed - that is, landscaping and ballasting to go, and Debbie said that I should bring it down with me, as it is part of who I am. We wil have to store it for a while, till finances allow us to do something about a shed in the backyard...hopefully...time will tell.

Quentin - you're right! [:)] The nice warm sun is shining - but a bit too much. We're getting max temps way over the average for a Brisbane Summer - ugh! (Low to mid Nineties instead of low to mid Eighties) Keep that air-con going! [;)]

We figured my daughter's beau would pop the question over the holidays, but that wasn't to be. Still, we're figuring on the possibility of a wedding late this summer. Love must be in the air...

Good Friday morning, everyone! Well, looks like we overslept again,
this morning. Looks like I need to quit staying up until after midnight!

Joe, thank you for putting the coffee on, and making the juice.

Breakfast will be: oatmeal and toast, or you can have your choice of
turkey bacon, scrambled eggs, or sausage and sausage gravy &
biscuits.

Lunch today will be: fish sandwiches (have cod and hallibut today),
and the prerequisite fries, hushpuppies and cole slaw.

And for dessert, there is a nice big birthday cake for Bergie, since he
has a birthday coming up on Sunday.

At least there's never any tracks - it'd be a waste of perfectly good chocolate... [:D]

Mookie, you said it, girlfriend!! Besides, your tiny petite paw prints weren't
on the "Happy Birthday, Bergie!" message, so all it took was a cake knife
to smooth it out.

Also, Mookie, there's some to-go containers fixed for you to take home with
you for your & driver's supper.

Ooh--he didn't fly east, did he, Sis?

Still getting used to completely revamped work schedule, so this is my only time here for the day.

Looks like I missed over a page of exciting news. Congratulations, Kozzie--do consider a honeymoon in the States--besides the great train-watching and railfanitis inoculations, you'd be among friends nearly anywhere you decided to go!

Good Saturday morning, everyone! Sure is a nice, cold day today.

Juice is made, and coffee is on.

Breakfast this morning will be: sausage, biscuits and gravy; or, you
can have sausage or bacon, with apple cinnamon pancakes & syrup.

I'll take a big helping of those pancakes, and some sausage AND bacon! Looks like we might actually get some sunshine this morning[:O], as the sky APPEARS to be blue, which would be the first time in around three weeks!

Afternoon everyone....

Haven't been doing too bad lately, but it's been a little tiring at work..... literally. I've been mounting tires on rims for the last three days (did a little voluntary overtime yesterday, need the money). the only thing that would make life easier would be a lift under the pallets of rims, would save on the heavy lifting (22.5 inch rims are about 60 pounds of steel). At least I have a machine to mount the tires, I used to change tires by hand at one of my previous places of employment.

Weather has been warmer, but still haven't seen the sun for about two to three weeks, it's starting to wear on everybody, including me. Just once I'd like to see the sun!!

Made a little progress in my goal of getting my CDL this past week, sent out a few applications to various companies in the area, should get some replies later this next week.

Pizza night tonight, right? Sausage, pepperoni, onion, and green pepper, with some tomato chunks and some Romano cheese, please. Thanks in advance!!

See everyone later.

Hi! I was actually awakened by the sun this morning--first time all year I've seen it! (Fleeting view--it's covered by clouds again now.) Last night I caught a five-second glimpse of the moon through the clouds, also the first time in '06.

Chris should be back out west, getting high. (What does he call that? Fourteeners.)

Yes, Randy, tonight is pizza night. Pizzas are in the oven, and the first of them
will be ready in just a few minutes.

And good luck on the job applications.

The usual for me- supreme! We had a BEAUTIFUL day here today, about time, too. Got the Christmas lights down and washed the minivan. If it weren't for those pressing tasks, I would've even gotten in some train watching.[:(] Sounds like tomorrow won't be so nice- forecast had a four-letter word in it beginning with "s".
