Okay, here's the Saturday night menu: you'll have your choice of leftover beef
stew, chilli, or pizza. Have all three out and on the warmer bar, so help your-
self.

Joe, thank you for getting the juice made, and the coffee on!! I've now got the
hot chocolate going, and am in the process of fixing breakfast:

turkey bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, fried potatoes, hash browns,
scrambled eggs, pancakes w/any topping you want on them, whether it's
syrup, fresh-frozen strawberries, blueberries, etc.

Everyone have a good day today, be careful and safe out there.

Well,it's L.A.s turn now.We now have several brush fires raging north in the hills in the area. One is in Chatsworth, but I havent heard aa word about whether the old SP main line is shut down.As of last night only one home had burned, and several commercial buildings. At that time the fire was only 5% contained. And it is only the beginning of fire season.

Joe or JDV, do let us know whenever you plan your Chicago/Rochelle trips! Ironically, I might be in western Michigan for Thanksgiving Day, but should be back home Friday.

If these plans come to fruition, I'll be pleased. I'll be sure to ask for some hot spots to go to.
I think I've heard of Elmhearst before (in CRC circles). I'm right in the middle of one in Byron Center, Mi. Grew up in some in NY.

Morning everybody.

Been busy this week, had a bunch of rework to do on FedEx trailers all week, managed to get them all done save one, they couldn't find the rest of the aluminum floor for that unit. Next week we start in on the rework for UPS.[sigh]

Had a cool start to the day here too, the last few nights I've had to bring a jacket to work, and I might still need one today when I head out. The farmers have been getting harvest into high gear, lots of combines out in the fields, talked to my dad last weekend, I guess shelled corn is already down to 18-20% moisture, just about right for his Harvestore. He was talking about getting his combine going pretty quick (smoky little bugger, but what do you expect for something that only gets used two to three weeks out of the year?)

CW, I'll take the cod, with tartar sauce, was also looking through the jukebox, got some B.B. King and John Lee Hooker playing (the song "Lucille" is playing as I type this).

See everyone later.

Good Friday morning everyone!! Well, here in Louisville, we got down to the
mid forties this morning. Chilly!!!! Brrr.

Joe: Thanks for getting everything started this morning. Putting some of your
hot chocolate alongside my coffee: take a sip of coffee, then a sip of hot
chocolate!! Due to the fall cleaning Mutt and I are doing, we slept in this a.m.

Breakfast: the hearty breakfast, consisting of your choice of turkey bacon,
sausage and biscuits & gravy, with fried taters and your choice of scrambled
eggs or fried eggs.

Lunch today will be fried perch, cod, whitefish w/fries and cole slaw, or beef
stew w/cornbread.

Supper tonight: beef stew w/cornbread, leftover chilli.

Dessert: chocolate cake w/raspberry filling. A little bird told me that someone
here really loves chocolate cake w/raspberry filling. So I'm in the process of
baking four of the cakes right now. They will be ready in time for lunch.

No frost here, but it's certainly chilly enough. A couple of blocks away from us, a homeowner apparently made the mistake of using the fireplace for the first time in a while without cleaning or inspecting the flue. [oops]There's now a six-foot hole in the roof around the chimney, and they had to spend the night elsewhere. Made for a good show last night though!

Plenty chilly in Mich. this am too. No frost. The weatherman said we got enough of a breeze and cloud cover to keep it off, but south of GR didn't. Taken Amtrak to Chicago once. Good experience. If I go, I just have to decide where to go, what frequencies to use for my scanner, and what not. [8D][:D]
