Hey, the diner's OPEN folks!! Guess everybody's too busy to stop in to say HI.

Tonight's special will be Lasagna. You can have whatever you want with it:
salad, garlic bread, etc.

Joe, you and Matt bring Stacey in with you, ya hear?![8D]

Okay, I'll take an order of lasagna with garlic bread, a side salad, and a nice tall glass of milk-make that chocolate milk-and put it on my tab. I do have a tab right? I would assume all the regular members do. You're right business has been slow since yesterday, oh well.

Had an exciting find today when I went to the WSOR yard. They brought up the weed spaying outfit, a tank car and a special spraying car, along wiht there only switcher left, an SW1200. I've never seen any of this stuff before, so it was really exciting. I'l post pics in a couple of days.

Rixflix,

PoBoy sandwich sounds good; but we don't serve alcohol at the diner, so you'll
have to leave off the Bloody Mary. And for my part, you can leave off the tobasco
sauce[:0]

Oops !!! Forgot about Mary's and I guess Charlie's are not served either.
A couple of beignets would be fine however.

News (I think) Flash !!!
Campbell's has a new Chunky line soup called "grilled chicken and sausage gumbo"
that is surprisingly spicy for a commercial soup. Check it out but don't come retching or kvetching to me !!!
My home soups go for days. When the pot gets low. I just add another flavor.
Bon apetit ya'll

He's making spaghetti casserole.

Jim, he said to ask if carryouts costs extra; and he doesn't have the chopper available
to him to bring it to you.[:D]

I'm in northern Illinois, so I may have attended the earthquake. But I didn't know about it --it probably rocked me to sleep.

Kitty Kat Chat, I mean Coffee Chat [:D]

June 28

1838 Britain's Queen Victoria is crowned in Westminster Abbey.

1894 Labor Day is established as a federal employees holiday.

1951 The Amos 'n' Andy show makes its television debut on CBS.

Now about Labor Day, I heard a joke the other day about the United States continuing to outsource jobs to India. It said that soon not only would Labor Day be celebrated in the United States but India as well. [:(!]

I have AOL and when I call for "help" about 99 out of 100 times I get "someone" who just doesn't seem to understand Engli***oo well and certainly can't understand what point I am trying to make. Much more of this and AOL can kiss me goodby. I am tired of trying to explain something 25 times and still not make them understand what I mean. And their broken English is enough is drive me up the wall. All this after waiting for 30 minutes on hold too.

And you know I thought AOL stood for AMERICA On LIne, not India on line. [:(!] [:(!] [:(!]

Hey all [:)]

I just wanted to let everyone know that in the next few weeks (maybe a month or so) I will be making less visits and posts in the coffee shop. I am trying to advance my career at work and need to really spend more time studying for my Airframe and Powerplant licenses. They have recently hired two geeks, I mean inspectors, so I need to buckle down and get those licenses now.

I wish everyone well. [:)] [;)] [:)]

Jim,know what you mean about AOL. It came with our computer. We stayed with AOL
for about 7 - 8 months, then switched to Bellsouth.net , because we could get it
included in our phone bill at a MUCH CHEAPER price.

But get this: one day cw had to call for bellsouth.net technical help. She ended up
talking with someone in INDIA.[:0]

And yes, we are like the birds around here: WE ARE CHEEP[}:)][:p]
