AMTK200, you should have been around here on 11/13/1987: Being a twin, I
had a very bad feeling that morning, and told Mutt he shouldn't go to
work: that something bad would happen to him. Well, he didn't listen to his
bride of 9 months, and went on to work.

I got a call at my temp job, saying he'd beeen in an ambulance accident.
I left work, hightailed it over to the ambulance service office, and one of his
friends took me to the hospital.

A lady had her windows up, heater, etc. going, and said, "I didn't hear or
see the ambulance." Mutt bent the steering wheel of the ambulance, trying
to avoid hitting her ( he still caught the side of her car). That is when he
injured his back. Now, he listens to me whenever I get one of those bad
feelings. So, as you can see, Friday the 13th isn't a very good day for him,
either.

Afternoon all.....

Not too bad here near the Mad City today, about 45 now, supposed to get to 50, and I think it's done raining for a few days. Hopefully it will start to green up around here, getting tired of the drab colors outside.

Tonight should get very interesting at work, as we're starting an order of trailers that use super single tires, so I get to try to kill myself mounting those suckers. Trying to wrestle those hundred-pound tires into place on the rims is not fun. Lets see, one hundred units, four tires to a unit....... that explains last nights fortune of "you will be working with the big boys"!![swg][swg][swg]

See everyone later, unless I collapse from exhaustion when I get home tonight...

The Asian cuisine sounds real good to have again;but I'm really not sure about
those "fortune cookies" (I think they need to be deleted !) are something else.
I opened mine up last night and it said; you will meet a ..........[(-D][(-D][(-D][(-D] !!
that was the fortune !!

Well, got some good things at Produce today: fre***omatoes, spinach, carrots
and sweet potatoes. Kind of wi***hey had white potatoes, cause I'm running
low on them! lol.

Lunch and supper today will be a continuation of the Asian cuisine: today,
we'll have pork fried rice and also special fried rice. And I'll cook the spinach
as a side dish, along with some egg rolls. Got plenty of fortune cookies left.
Apparently, some didn't take their fortune cookies with their supper last night,
so there are more than enough to hand out today.

Jen....That's too bad the plastic covering is the item preventing the "home cure" for the problem....It surely has a way of being removed but understand if it can't be found one must go to plan "B".....This machine {from your description}, sounds like a mighty one. Good luck. I have declared winter over {all snow included}, for our area here because I removed the 3 sand bags from my little pick up yesterday and now next is getting the winter tires changed over to the seasonal ones. So no more snow for here...ha....

Well actually didn't get much rain on Monday. Therefore, I did not have to wear my clown suit. [:o)] [:D]

The sun is out today and it is around 50. It is warm enough to walk the dog in just a t shirt.

As usual I have tons of housework to do. And as usual most of it will probally not get done. [B)] [V]

Well guess I better get started on it tho.

Well, had a wonderful time at a minor luncheon (snack'n) with the Italian Ambassador to Canada and a gentleman named Vittorio Coco who is running for a senator in Italy and is currently the Chairman of the Board of CHIN-TV network.

I got my picture with both of them and a friend of mine who is running for Alderman of Niagara Falls.

Fortune - ate - ly - we don't have to do lawnmowers. Our landperson will cut the grass for us -

He uses a truck and a frontend shovel on our drive, but doesn't get to our house until well after daybreak. We need it done by 5 am. Ergo - snowblower.

Tree that is good to know - this thing eats lots of snow and probably small critters if they get close. It is really scary, so has earned a lot of respect in our family. And just for you - and us too - I am going to insurance agent Wed to have renters insurance changed to new company and sign on for another year!

I'm just a busy individual!

Good morning, all- sorry I missed the oriental meal last night, was too busy working on the honey-do list here. I'll take a heaping plate of that breakfast fare and a leftover fortune cookie if you still have them! We had a nice gentle rain (with a few flakes of snow mixed in for good measure) all day yesterday, and our lawn is now starting to show the effects. Speaking of working on small engines, I better get the lawnmower out and ready...

Might even purchase a small container of a product..{Gunk}, to pour in the gas to enable cleaning the carburetor....If he leaves gasoline in it all summer when not in use, he should add a product to the gas {when unit is not used and stored}, to keep it from gumming up the fuel system. Probably by changing the spark plug to a new one will really help if it hasn't been changed for some time.....If plug is added, don't forget to "gap" the spark plug...Probably to about .028 to .035". All the above stuff can be found in an automotive store or big box store, automotive dept. Might have to get spark plug {for that machine}, in lawn care dept. Suggest all of above if machine is too heavy and dangerous for one person to try to lift in a veh, etc......
Q - it is about 3 years old. He bought a spark plug and was going to tune it up himself, but can't get the plastic cowling off w/o fear of breaking it. He worked on it quite awhile and just couldn't get it off. He tunes up our old Ford, so this wouldn't be a problem.

Kind of like - I would take the aspirin, but can't get into the bottle. So convinced him to let someone else look it over and maybe show him how to get into the thing. He drains the gas every year and does whatever shadetree mechanics do to mechanical things.

Do these things need blade sharpenings like lawnmowers? And I will pass along all the information to him, just in case he does get into it......

Well, my fortune cookie sez I should eat the cookie and the fortune for fiber...

Good Tuesday morning, everyone! Light periods of rain this morning, with an outdoor
temp of 49 degrees. Hope everyone enjoyed their Oriental quisine last night. Only
heard one person read their fortune from their fortune cookie. Mine said, "Be careful
what you wish for: you may get your wish."

Since today is Produce Day, breakfast is ready, and on the warmer bar: menu
includes: turkey bacon, sausage, sausage links, scrambled eggs, hash browns,
sausage gravy, biscuits, oatmeal, toast. Juice and coffee are ready.

Mookie, thanks so much for the article on LJB!!

Hello again, everyone. Just popped in to post the supper menu fo tonight.

For your taste buds tonight, you can have: Chop Suey, Chow Mein, Lo Mein
with snow peas, rice, and hot tea. And of course, to end your meal, you'll
get a fortune cookie. And you must read your fortune to everyone!!

Yes Sir! Just have to wait to make sure it won't be needed for a few days while we send it off. It will be like parting with my fork - when we need it, it really takes care of business!

So you do your part and keep the snow at your house and we will get right on it.

Tree - furniture goes like wildfire here in my world. Use to be a gentleman (ahem) in a booth next to ours at the antique shows that would show "old" furniture with the varnish still tacky. He put a good price on it and always sold a lot. And it wasn't just small end tables, either! We would drool watching him!

Sometimes sentiment brings a big price.....

Mooks:

All that hanging around the tracks and you never met the local M/W Maintainer (motorcar mechanic/ roadmaster's savior) ???

Does it run now? Can it wait 2 months? (ie - get the thing in the shop when it's not time critical and cheaper to fix/maintain?) Most lawnmower/small engine shops I know will pick-up/deliver just to get the business in the off season. Call em and ask.

All family heirlooms, actually. I'll be letting the "pros" handle shipping, although I am getting them crated up. I don't think my sisters will want to pay the gas for me to drive them out myself, although the social aspects (Rochelle and Lincoln on the way to Denver, maybe via Houston on the way back east from Phoenix) would have the potential to skew the decision...

All furniture, I might add. An 1870's East Lake commode, a 2/2 Lady's Dresser with spoon carved medalions of about the same vintage, and Gramp's old rocking chair. Have no idea of how old the chair is, but it's a favorite in the family. While the three have value as antiques, the real value is the memories.
