I'll be back in the fire truck, with the doors locked. I'd offer chocolate cake as a peace offering, but that's what got us in this mess to start with...

Good Thursday morning, everyone!! Look who managed to wake up early, for a change.

Had to wake up early this morning, because I needed to get in here, and put up birthday
decorations, because we are celebrating a birthday today. Whose birthday, you ask?
Well, today's birthday person is: JOEKOH!!

Coffee and juice are ready, and the birthday decorations are up.

Breakfast this morning: pancakes and sausage for Joe's birthday breakfast, along
with sausage gravy and biscuits and scrambled eggs. Joe, what's your favorite
cake? Let me know, and I'll have it baked and decorated, and we'll serve it at lunch
today. Also, what would you like to have served for your birthday lunch, and supper?

Jim - I know what you mean about that Page 2 stuff - I've had to dig it out once or twice myself. And I do home-made gravy, too. Used to amaze people at work that I could cook and bake (my kids will vouch for that!). Now they're used to it...

Looks like that heavy weather is going to pay us a visit in the morning - the commute is supposed to include thunderstorms. I really don't mind, as long as nobody gets hurt and there's no real damage.

Gotta call tomorrow and make sure they need me at the railroad - got a couple of weekends more or less free, so I'll do my duty. Best part is that I can run and get back in time for fireworks on the St Lawrence!

Time to raid the cooler for a bedtime snack.

Boy I feel like a million bucks caus eI just got to see the Milwaukee Road 261 up close tonight here in milwaukee. It was the coolest thing I have ever gotten to seen in my entire life and it will be here untill friday night. I did get some nice pictures but I got to get them uploaded on to my computer and I will most likey to do that tomorrow so everyone can see them. Well I found the diner on page two again. [:(!]

It is 6 pm here and still about 92. The good news is . . . the heat index is finally below 100 now. [B)]

I had BLTs for lunch and a ham and cheese omlette for supper, along with hash brown and toast. For some reason breakfast at supper time is always soooo good. [;)]

I even made homemade (but at work mind you) sausage gravy and biscuits, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and bacon for our supper at work Monday night. I taught one of the guys how to make gravy from scratch. [:p] Both of them ate the homemade gravy like it was going out of style. [:p] [:D] [:o)] I do say myself, "It was darn good gravy." [:p] [:D] [:p]

Good eveing everyone how is we all doin tonight fine and dandy.Over here well the rain and severe weather has moved on for the most part anywho last I checked the temp around here was 78 degerees but that humidity is still really high and it feels like well you know yuck. but oh well that's really bout it from this end hope everyone has a good night and I will be talkin to you all later. Okay, Joe: I'll make sure he washes behind his ears!!

Well, it's 5:09, and our temp is 91 degrees here. Haven't been out since this morning,
and not planning to go out until the sun goes down some.

Supper tonight: Defrosted some beef stew, and it's simmering on the stove. Turned
the oven on long enough to bake some cornbread. Dessert tonight: peach shortcake:
just like strawberry shortcake, but use peaches instead of strawberries. Got plenty
of whipped cream or Cool Whip to go on them. Or maybe some will want ice cream
on their shortcakes.

Lunch today is plenty of cold cuts It's just way too hot!! On the menu:

Mookie, the trouble with those cute little bears is they grow up to be not-so-cute BIG bears. They lose their playfulness and get kinda grouchy. You can have all the bears you want, but you have to fkeep them and feed them at home. [:o)] [:I] [8)]

Now on a nicer note. [:X] I have been thinking about those fur stoves. [;)] When I take Duchess to PetsMart for a bath when it comes time to dry her they put her in a little box that has warm air gently blowing across her. She loves it. So instead of a stove, we could install a "dryer". [:D] I am not even going to think about a "washer" though. [;)] [}:)] [8D]

That kind of reminds me about a joke. The super short verion is this. A little boy wants to wash his dog and buys some laundry soap. The man behind the counter says that soap is way too harsh for the puppy he wants to wash. But the little boy buys it anyway. The next week the little boys goes back to the store and the man ask him about his puppy. The little boy said he died. The man told him the soap was too harsh for puppies. Southern parts of Wisconsin on the WATCH OUT list this morning, already some not too serious wind damage to the east of us. At the moment it looks like just spells of heavy rain with lightening for the neighborhood.
