Justin....We're moving in on eradicating their final stand, in my opinion....It's just so hot out there to be too agressive right now. Checked this morning and found just one spot I will watch carefully. Other spot is out on the golf course and I can't set the trap out there. But we will prevail soon.

Good morning--
We're at 22C with a 92% humidity reading right now---we got another 40% shower this morning which tried to become another monsoon---thankfully it did not become such----supposed to get to 26C and become drier this afternoon----which'll really help----
Have to go to recording studio a friend set up and play around on a new acquisition our so called "new" old band has------an Eventide H3000 Harmonizer------need to check this thing out---
Stay cool-----

Plenty of dry land here - the promised storms stayed well south. Daughter in Syracuse said she heard thunder, but that was about it.
Might get some yet tonight, but based on what I'm seeing on the radar, I'd be greatly surprised.
The fair skies promised all week for Saturday have changed to scattered thunderstorms, which doesn't bode well for an air show. Only scattered showers called for on Sunday, but if the keeps the ceiling down, the aerial acts are a bust.

Hello--
Got the ol' t'underin' boomers going through---2 of 'em---both left marble sized hail and monsoons--last one left approx 2-2.5" of rain. 3 houses in our neighbourhood took hits from ground discharges. And one tree split right down the middle behind our crescent----BTW--we got to 33C with a heat index at 40C----
I've got so much water in the back quarter of my backyard I'm going to throw in a floating dock and start playing with my R/C boat-------
cherokee womanFor lunch today (and probably supper tonight, too, as hot as it is): tuna salad sandwiches (white, whole wheat, rye bread), BLTs on bread or toasted bread, and PB&J, along with your choice of fries or tater chips and garden salad or cole slaw.
I've got some more of the sandwiches made up for supper. And there's plenty of salad for supper, along with chocolate chip cookies for dessert tonight.
Hope everyone is staying as cool as possible this afternoon. I think they said our high was 93. I know a couple of hours ago, our indoor/outdoor thermometer was shoing 91.3 for the outside temp. Went to the bus stop, to catch a bus going up to Kroger. Passed a church with a thermometer on their sign board: it was showing a current temp of 103.
Joe, made an assortment of the sandwiches for you for work tonight, and put in some garden salad, chips and some chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
Just heard on the news that Michael Jackson has passed away, from an apparent heart attack. He was only 50. I hadn't really cared about him as an entertainer for the past 20, 25 years, but it is still sad to hear of his passing.
Everyone have a good evening, stay cool and take care.
Hi all! CW, thanks for the sandwiches!
Here is a summery of my day. I woke up. I went to VBS (vacation bible school) and led my group of little ones. Then, after that I went to my granddad's and helped him rip off the front boards of his old red shed. we then proceded to jack up the front of the shed with a railroad car jack. That was really cool! We then cut more toung and grove board, and replaced almost the entire front of the shed. the shed will need more jacking up on the back tommrow. We will also finish the front side, and then rip off the boards on the side, and start on that side. 92*F right now. was closer to 100*F erlier when working. Humidity was mostly gone though. That made it more bareable. I also noticed that the car jack kept getting a little hevier as the day went on...
Well, had a fun day with grandad. Will help him tommrow to. Have a good evenig everyone!
Justin
afternoon

cherokee womanQuentin, do you get the Marmaduke cartoon in your local paper? If so, I think you'll like it: pertains to moles
Yes, I'm rather sure it is included with the funnies section, but have not been a regular reader of it......I'll take a look.
We had little Dachshund dogs for 33 years, perhaps if one of them were still here they could have helped.
Just checked again in the past hour, and bingo.....two more spots of evidence...!! Too hot right now, {94 plus}, but later today the war continues....believe the trap will come back out too. This is unbelievable.\
Edit: PS....Checked, and our Sunday paper is the one that carries Marmaduke.
Another Edit: Larry / Paula.....I just pulled it up on the internet and....Pretty funny.....Actually, it almost makes me feel like doing that....!

Think I'll go lie down and take a nap; this heat and humidity is taking its tole on me (and I know we don't have it as bad as people in Texas, Florida, Arizona, and some other places have it.
.....Just finished my mowing.....Tried to do it before it got so hot, but not easy to do....Some dew on the grass and was trying to balance that with the heat moving in....and that humidity....!!
One more mole bit the dust too this morning...Have never seen the likes of the quanity I've dealt with this week. They still are out at the back edge of my yard and golf course connection and lucky they are not all over the yard...But if I don't get all of them, they certainly can be.....
Another very hot and humid day just like it's been all week....Sunshine is bearing down with it....Some spots of thunderboomers raised up across Indiana yesterday but very spotty....None here.
well Matt and I went to town and mowed. We also took a couple pics of trains while we were there.heard on the scanner that one train had some extra passengers for awhile.Dispatcher was also trying to get work crews out and trains running.Justin good luck on your trip. Its always work before fun.It is defineately nap time now.Cw thanks for breakfast.
Scattered thunderbumpers forecast here, and the local weather weenies are advising hail and high winds. Could be an interesting afternoon...
Better get my "outside" stuff done this morning.
First, however, it's tea and bearclaws in the corner!
Day off tomorrow - time to pay a visit to new grandson. He's 7 weeks old now, and growing like a weed. I sure hope he likes basketball. Both of his parents played the game...
The current temperature is 22C with the humidity at 76% making the heat index at 28C. We're going to a high of 32C with the heat index around 38C. We're seeing the mix of sun/cloud with showers and T'storms for the afternoon/evening. Tonight will be clear with fog developing overnight and the low will be at 16C. Tomorrow will be a mix of sun/cloud and the high of 28C.
Got a couple of clients to see today and then maybe I'll see whether I can get some decent pix of some industrial sites-----
Have a good one----
Mornin glory, and how yall is? 70 and partly cloudy in Carolina, headed for 94 and HOT later. Not much to report. Things have been kinda blah lately.... Everybody stay cool and safe.
Good Thursday morning, everyone. Sorry about not being around much yesterday: I was trying to stay anywhere that was cool, and didn't even think about getting on the puter. Our current temp is in the mid to upper 70s, but we do have some rain coming our way, and our temps may decrease a little bit. Sure hope so!
Coffee, juices, lemonade, Gatorade, iced teas (sweet & unsweet), and hot water for hot tea are ready. On the warmer bar this morning: turkey bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, cantaloupe chunks and watermelon chunks, bagels and bear claws.
Everyone have a great day, stay as cool as possible, and take care.
