Somebody say roast? Not even for Sunday dinner??? Following the Jaegerschnitzel/Spatzle/Red Cabbage for lunch (after 6 hours of precision level loops in 60 degree weather).....today is too good.
Gus/Doogie/Nigel will be looking for the beef juice in their bowls.

Deshler Ohio-crossroads of the B&O Matt eats your fries.YUM! Clinton st viaduct undefeated against too tall trucks!!!(voted to be called the "Clinton St. can opener").
I call him every once in awhile, and maybe once in a blue moon will get an email from him. Talked to him a couple of weeks ago. Since he started working for UP, there in North Little Rock, he doesn't get a chance to get online much, and come into the Cafe/Diner. Maybe I'll try to give him a call tomorrow night, and see how he's doing.
Good Thursday morning everyone. Pleasant morning here, with a temp in the mid 60s. Still have a chance of rain/storm showers, but the map looks like it's tracking northeast of us, so maybe we'll be in the clear today.
I have the coffee ready, and so are the juices and water is heating for hot tea.
On the warmer bar this morning: bagels, bear claws, turkey bacon, sausage links & patties, and homemade buttermilk pancakes w/plenty of Maple, strawberry or blueberry syrup.
Mookie, made sure your coffee mug is down, and ready to pour coffee into, as soon as you come in the door. (And I've even put back a couple slices of chocolate cake for us to have with our coffee this morning!)
good morning
matt is on time and on the bus.rain on and off today with maybe some thunderstorms.Cw thanks for breakfast.I am going to just leave the plate with the cake and glass of milk alone.we don't need any cats miffed this morning.
Cool here for the next few days, with some rain possible.
The bulb garden is getting ready to bloom - many of the tulips are showing color but haven't opened yet.
Rules classes are this weekend - two days of NORAC and air brakes. Found out I'm missing a couple of documents in my rules binder, so I've got to get them caught up.
Plus some work on the truck Friday. And it's definitely time to exchange the snowblower and the mower. The lawn has decided to launch. Maybe it'll be nice on Monday! Gotta sit around and wait for the furnace guy anyhow...

Flannel sheets off; percales on; duvet off; duvet on. Long sleeved t-shirt over summer nitewear; t-shirt in pile in corner. Window up; window down. Fan off; fan on!
I'm too tired for cake...well, okay, maybe not. But milk will need a bent straw.
A dark rainy day....and probably another one tomorrow. Sure glad I did get my mowing finished last evening. Temp now: 63.
Everything really green and growing.

Currently 68 degrees here in Louisville, with drizzle. Mookie, glad you decided you weren't too tired for a slice of cake, and a glass of milk (with bendable straw in glass!).
Since it's kind of cool, and with the drizzling rain out, thought I'd fix beef stew w/baked cornbread for lunch and supper. There's two large dutch ovens on the stove, so we should have enough to last for the day, at least. There's also some roast, taters & carrots left from supper last night, if anyone would rather have that.
Banks, businesses, along with some other places (like Metro Louisville offices) will be closing early today, so everyone who isn't staying downtown for the Derby Festival Parade, can clear out and get home. Yesterday was the steamboat race, with the Belle of Louisville and the Cincinnatti Belle. Sorry about Cincinnati losing the race to the Belle of Louisville yesterday evening. Even though I'm glad the Belle won, it would have been nice for Cincinnati to win it's first time competing against the Belle. Seems to me that there should be another actual steamboat competing against the Belle, and not diesel steamboats. But, that's the way the cookie crumbles, isn't it. Cincinnati, maybe you'll win the antlers next year!!
