Joe:

I'd be out cutting grass (backyard) this afternoon, but....woke up this morning to 4+ inches of wet snow and it's still coming down. Ah yes, springtime in the Rockies.....(psst.....somebody drug test the weatherliar or Ma Nature...)

Fortunately, the pavement was warm and melted most of the driveway/sidewalk/street surfaces, so Copcar and I won't be shovelling. This afternoon will be sloppy for all of us groundpounders.

Good time to go hide in the office. (We'll take the moisture, thank you very much!)

Mudchicken Nothing is worth taking the risk of losing a life over. Come home tonight in the same condition that you left home this morning in. Safety begins with ME.... cinscocom-west

Another beautiful Spring morning here.....sunshine, and a bit of breeze and fragrance of Spring is all around us.....Eveything looks so fresh.  Windows are open.  Rain will catch up with us no doubt by tonight....It's been lurking above us for almost 2 days but the big High here has forced most of it around our north side.

Good evening, everyone.  Sorry I haven't been in since this morning:  had to go to a 'seminar' and had to leave about 11:30 this morning, to be there at 12:45.  Didn't get home until after 4 p.m.  So, supper is going to be:

1.  Sloppy joes w/your choice of fries, onion rings, or chips; fresh garden salad

2.  Burgers and/or cheeseburgers, with the same selection of sides:  fries, onion, rings, chips and garden salad.

Right now, I'm looking forward to the rain coming in later tonight:  it is really warm.  We got up to 86 today.  Around here, it looks like if you really, really want rain, the city needs to plan a big to-do, like all the Derby events going on this week.  Almost a guarantee for rain!!

Everyone enjoy your supper and evening, and take care!!

On way back to WI, have another doc appt on thursday, may make a second to have reg doc look at my back, pulled something the other day, not healing as fast as I'd hoped it would.

Sloppy Joes sound good tonite, then off to the sleeper for rest.....

Good Tuesday morning, everyone.  Well, my alarm didn't go off this morning, and I've not been up but about a half hour, and this is Produce day.Disapprove  We're not getting rain just yet, but it is on the way in.  Very close to us.  Quentin and Justin, you all may be getting some already.

I've got the coffee on, juices are ready, and hot water for tea is on.  I'm cheating for breakfast this morning:  I had stocked up on those Jimmy Dean Breakfast bowls, plates, and they're in the cooler for you all this morning.  Sorry about that.  I'll fix a really good homemade breakfast tomorrow morning.

See you all after I get through with Tuesday Produce.  Everyone enjoy your breakfast, and have a good morning.

Yes, we're getting the light rain now....Started sometime during the overnight but no storming so didn't hear when it started.  This was expected for Monday and Tuesday..{none here Mon. though}, and tomorrow, it's to be sunny again.  So that will be another mowing day.

I'm in here a bit late, but I am throwing together a few things for breakfast this morning. The grill is hot and I've got some buttermilk pancake batter ready for pouring, there is also some pork sausage links on the grill and bacon as well. And there will be french toast and scrambled eggs for anyone who might want that. I think CW has already made the coffee, but I will make an extra pot just in case we should run low on coffee. There is a pitcher of fresh orange juice in the fridge.

Good afternoon, everyone.  The rain started about 8:15 this morning, while I was continuing to put names on the Produce Sign-In Sheet.  Finished writing, then came back towards the house, and we sat on our porch, until the ladies showed up to unlock the gym door.

Ray, thanks for adding to the breakfast menu this morning.

On the Dare to Care truck this morning:  apples, bananas, cabbage, kale greens and potatoes.  Only 51 people showed up this morning (they kind of dragged in, too).  The other close-by center was open today, so imagine that's where most of our other regulars were this morning.

Walt  rolled out the awning over the patio, and we have the grill going with:  T-bones, sirloin, and rib eye steaks.  There's even some 'baked' potatoes on the grill and grilled veggie kabobs.  Side dishes:  baked beans, cole slaw, green bean salad, and potato salad.  (Yes, Tom, I made sure and picked out thick, meaty t-bones!!)

Regular dessert menu to select from, after you finish your meal, of course!SmileEvil (I know, I'm being a meanie, making you all eat before you can have dessert, right?

Everyone enjoy, and have a good afternoon.

Sounds like an "interesting" ride.

Just a reminder - if you've got stuff stowed in the cooler, you'll need to get it out - we'll be remodelling again soon!

Good Wednesday morning, everyone!  I'm glad everyone enjoyed the steaks last night!  And Walt did an excellent job handling the grill!!  Thank you, Walt, for grilling the wonderful steaks last night!

Coffee, juices, and hot water for tea are ready.

On the warmer bar this morning:  turkey bacon, sausage (links & patties), scrambled eggs, hash browns, homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, bagels, bear claws, blueberry muffins, and fresh cantaloupe & watermelon chunks.

Yeah, Johnny, we get used to one thing, and it's time to change again.  But, at least we'll still be here for our anniversary coming up Tuesday.  Hard to believe that we've been open, in one form or another, for five years!!  Thank you, Jim (JHH), for starting the Diner!!

Mookie, here's your coffee mug, all ready to go!  Who else is ready for a cup?

Good morning. CW, thanks for breakfast this morning. I think I'll grab a bear claw while I am in here this morning. I woke up with a bit of a sore throat this morning and I am not sure I will be leaving my house at all today. Right now it is raining here in Sioux Falls and we could get as much as 3/4  to one inch of rain before the end of the day. And at the present moment we have a temp of 49 degrees.

Earlier it was said this was to be a dry day.....but mist is in the air.  Possible dry periods forecast for this afternoon, if so....I hope to take advantage of it and get to mowing....or it will get ahead of me {for sure}, this time.  Next 2 or 3 days....rain forecast. 51 here now.

Larry, you must have either seen the chocolate cake I baked this morning, as it was cooling on the counter, or you read my mind!

On today's menu, for lunch and supper:

Sirloin beef roast w/potatoes and carrots, your choice of cole slaw or garden salad, macaroni & cheese, broccoli w/butter sauce, and strawberry Jell-O to go with the chocolate cake for dessert.  How does that sound to everyoneQuestion Or, maybe you'd like to have a nice, hot-from-the-oven Dutch apple pie w/vanilla ice cream.

For a little bit, a couple of hours ago, it looked like we could get one of those stray showers forecast for today.  But, as far as I know, we didn't get a drop.

Our current temp here in Louisville is 71, in the downtown area, 70 out at the airport's official NWS site.

You all enjoy your lunch and your afternoon, and take care.

Morning All! Its a beautiful day here. 45 at 11 am, no wind, and barely a cloud in the sky.

Paula, That roast sounds fantastic!  Speaking of Jim, Has anyone seen him? I dont remember seeing him around for quite a while now?
