Yep, you got it, Quentin. I'm back up and running, thanks! In just a couple of minutes, I listened to one train go through (picture got garbled for some reason), then watched another passenger consist go flying by.
Enough fun with that for now- time to get out and work on the yard (48 degrees and sunny here).

cherokee woman Good Saturday morning, everyone. Joe, hope you all have a very safe trip and make it back home safely! And Joe, thanks for getting breakfast together this morning! I have to admit I've been lazy this morning, and not getting on the computer as early as I usually do. I'll be on my way out in just a little bit, to go back to the place I went to Thursday, and see if I can't get my taxes done today. They're open from 10 until 4 today, so maybe I won't be there too long. With my luck, I'll probably be there all day. Not looking forward to that, believe me. Justin, hope you enjoy your pancake breakfast this morning. Just don't too too many of them, and make yourself sick! How's your Mom doing? I hope she's getting a little bit better. Remembering her in my prayers, and will continue to do so. You all have a good morning, and I'll see you all later on for our Pizza Fest.

I was so excited to print it that when I got up I el-bowed mom in the side.... I fell really bad now though. She is still in pain. Have a good rest of youre Pi Day everybody. Pizza sounds good again!

Mookie Justin - tell us a little about yourself. What grade; what subjects do you like and dislike; are you rural or city; why do you like trains, anything else you might want to share that isn't too personal. Joe - working on the problem. But even if never solved, it is still all good! Mutt - go unlock the closet so CW can get out. Spring break so I get to watch trains for the next 5 days - and in warm weather! I am so excited I go around in circles!

Well I was born I live about 30 miles south of Laffayette IN. ( evedentaly a midwest hot spot) I go to JR. high school. I'm in 7th grade. I Like science and geography. Mth is my hardest subject. I like learning about motion and stuff. People all the time ask me why I like trains. 2 answers. One I think that I was just born like that and two their an Amreican pastime. ( thay pretty much built the nation we know and love)
Well, got errands accomplished. Everything A-OK. Drizzled all the time I was out. Was down to sprinkles a little while ago, when I took the dog out.
Joe, still no package in today's mail. Maybe Monday?
Here's our Saturday Night Pizza menu:
1. Anchovie; 2. cheese w/extra cheese; 3. Canadian bacon; 4. Chicago style; 5. Goetta; 6. Hawaiian; 7. Pepperoni/mushroom/sausage; 8. Supreme; 9. Italian sausage calzones; 10. Pepperoni calzones
Desserts: the following dessert pizzas: apple, peach, strawberry; yellow cake w/chocolate icing; chocolate cake
Guess that's about it, although I did manage to see a couple of trains, one this morning (could not see the lead engines, though) and one while waiting for the final bus to come home this afternoon (think it was a NS train, headed west/northbound).
You all enjoy the pizzas, and have a good evening.

Deshler Ohio-crossroads of the B&O Matt eats your fries.YUM! Clinton st viaduct undefeated against too tall trucks!!!(voted to be called the "Clinton St. can opener").
Joe et al: Saw the Boeing train today. Used to see it all by itself - maybe 10-15 cars. Now it is the front end of a very long freight for the last 2-3 times. Must have gotten too expensive to ship it alone?
Also had 6 looked like molded plastic somethings on a flat car. Probably 10-12 feet tall each - all tied on and together. Super white! They were part of the Boeing train, but have no idea what they might be. Going to hazard a guess that they were noses for some kind of airplane.
All from here. We are both exhausted after a day out in our shirt sleeves and looking for a decent can opener!

No trains this weekend. Saw some tracks at Bolling AFB yesterday - but it's obvious that nothing's travelling over them - a road was cut right through them and the rails had been removed. Went to Washington Navy Yard and saw a big rail gun, though...
Shopping in Annapolis with DIL today.
Having fun with granddaughter - she's walking - actually went most of the way across the living room this evening. Not confident yet, though - usually a few steps and down on her bottom, or to crawling - boy can she skedaddle!
Birthday party tomorrow.

As I get to say often each morning.....Sunshine, and now it's 35 degrees. So on to warmer temps today and certainly, the next few days. Dry too.

Morning all.....
Busy week here, had to make up for the downtime last week. Got clutch adjusted, truck drives like it should, and found out that they are putting automatic adjusters on clutches now (helps, though, if it's set right to begin with!!)
Apologize in advance for this rant, but spent the day Wednesday backed in the dock of AAFES in Newport News, VA. Nice to know our tax dollars are being spent on spotter tractors that look like show trucks, and trailers built in Mexico. Guess that's government for ya.....
Anyone remember the slogan for Old Milwaukee and Old Milwaukee Light beer? Running an interplant move for Miller, with kegs of Old Milwaukee. Get to play in West Virginia today, headed to da garden of Eden, NC. It doesn't get any better than this.....

Well, we're finally able to get onto the computer. Booted up this morning, and could not connect to the internet, except for a not responding message or page not found! Finally got thru to our ISP, and seems our phone filters have bit the dust. They're sending us new filters.
Our Sunday Dinner menu for today: Pork chop abracadbra w/cream of chicken soup, potatoes and onion cut up and cooked with the pork chops. Got one Crock Pot ready, and we also have garden salad, California Blend veggies ( broccoli, cauliflower & carrots in a butter cheddar cheese sauce), along with some lima beans in a butter sauce and corn. And there is another Crock Pot going, with same things, for later on tonight, probably around 6:30, 7 p.m. EDT.
Desserts today: chocolate cake, pecan rolls, German chocolate cake, and apple cobbler.
Randy, good to know your truck is repaired, and you are back on the road again.
Larry, know you're enjoying being with granddaughter on her first birthday! Wish her a Happy Birthday from everyone in the Flat Wheel Cafe, please.
Everyone enjoy your Sunday Dinner, take care, and have a good afternoon!

There is also an Edenton over in Tidewater; it dates back to colonial times.
We saw our first robins this morning as we arrived at church. One robin flew down to the parking lot, and another one flew down quickly; they sparred a little and then separated.

Good Monday morning everyone. It's going to be a very beautiful day around Louisville today: we're starting out at 6:29 with a temp of 52 degrees, going to a high of 62 today. Maybe we can get out and do some yard work, getting ready for spring time.
Grampa Larry, Evie is one little cutie pie! Looks like she definitely enjoyed her birthday cake!!
Coffee, juices, hot chocolate and hot water for tea are ready. On the warmer bar this morning: bagels, bear claws, turkey bacon, sausage, homemade buttermilk biscuits (fresh out of the oven) and scrambled eggs. And, if anyone would like a BLT sandwich for breakfast, we've got all the fixings.
Everyone enjoy your breakfast, have a good morning, and take care!!

45 when I looked a while ago, and a bit overcast here. It will warm up some as the day unfolds. Believe they said the sun will be out about noon. And tomorrow, like Joe's area, we're to be in the 70 range.
Edit: Sun now is shining....and it's 55. 1:40
Good morning all. Going to be low 70's in AZ mountains and all sunshine today. Have a great one all of you.
Well, at 12:07 p.m., we still have very cloudy skies, but it does look a little bit like the sun is trying to peek through the clouds. We currently have a temp of 55 degrees.
I've warmed up the pork chop abracadbra for lunch, along with the side veggies; and there's also: tomato bisque soup w/grilled cheese sandwiches, or tuna salad sandwiches, or maybe you want a sandwich of each with your soup. That's fine with me, as I've made plenty of both (well, actually not making the grilled cheese sandwiches until someone asks for it: I know I don't like cold grilled cheese sandwiches, so I don't imagine anyone else would want a cold one, either).
You all enjoy your lunch ,and everyone have a good afternoon!
Hi all,
Just got home from school.Currently 65 on Weather bug. Anice gental bereze blowing very nice day too be outside doing yard work or exersing, witch I need to be getting more of. I'll have the grilled cheese sandwich if you aren't too busy, or tired CW. The soup is good! Have you ever had crock pot sanwiches CW? It's vey good!
Have a nice evenig! Justin

Yes, the idea of cold grilled cheese sandwiches almost gives me the cold robbies, too. A good lunch, thanks.
51 degrees here early in the morning, with a strong breeze out of the south. A windbreaker was just barely enough to keep me warm during my morning walk (the next warmer jacket would have been too warm). We were promised some precipitation yesterday morning, but it never came.
howdy
well matt ran from the bus stop and got his homework done.we went outside and did some spring chores.feels good to get outsideCw thanks for supper.going to get cleaned up and ready for work.Need something green for tommorow is st patricks day.
The sun did finally make an appearance here about mid afternoon! We all were outside for a bit,and it was really nice, to be outside in just short sleeves, and not being all bundled up!
I've replenished the soup and beginning to fix grilled cheese sandwiches, along with the rest of the menu from lunch.
Joe, hope you remembered to fix a plate for your lunch tonight! And yes, I've already got my green ready for tomorrow. (Being part Irish, it wouldn't be fitting for me not to remember St. Paddy's Day tomorrow, now would it?!?!
Everyone enjoy your supper, and have a good evening. Maybe, I'll drop back in later on. But, if I don't make it, see you all in the morning.
Good Tuesday morning, and Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone. Hope everyone had a very good evening: must have, since it looks like no one came in at all last night.
Coffee, juices and hot water for tea are ready. On the warmer bar this morning: bagels, bear claws, and some special St. Patrick's cookies for you all.
You all have a great day, and take care. See everyone after Tuesday Produce.
Good morning,
It's certainly quiet in here today! I thought I would stop by and have breakfast during my free period at school, but it looks like I'm all alone.
It's going to be another terrific day here today. High in the mid 70s and all the sun you could want.
Still working at Arby's on the weekends. I've been doing some work on backline recently. That's where the sandwiches are prepared and wrapped. That's also where the beef slicer is. Hopefully I won't lose any fingers back there anytime soon.
Only 30 class days left until I graduate from high school and move on to bigger things. I'm trying my best to not catch the dreaded "senioritis". Unfortunately, some of my classmates have already succumbed to it.
Have a great day, everyone.
