Makes you wi***hings were a bit more like Europe in North America, where airports are routinely by railroad lines and have linking track service.....then it's just a short walk to watch either! Ever been to Gatwick airport/train station?

Yes I like both, and yes this will never end if we start discussing opinions again.
I have personal ties to three of the largest airlines in the U.S. (like I worked for one) and I travelled a lot when I was younger and Flight Simulator is my "other train" computer game![:P]

oh and ps -- I'll bet I could get into almost as good a fight on this question as we usually get on this forum with ones like 'the best steam locomotive?' -- how about either the most beautiful plane you know (for me, the Lockheed Super Constellation -- L1049 series) or the most awesome plane you know (for me, again Lockheed, oddly -- the SR-71)

I love 'em both -- except commercial aviation. But that isn't the plane, that's the hassle on the ground. I used to work for a railroad, and still follow them closely, and I own and fly a Piper Arrow...

I like both. Have ridden on planes 4 times, but I have only been on a train twice. First time was in elementary school on a field trip. Second time, Walt & I rode on the Corydon Scenic Railroad (Louisville -New Albany & Corydon ). Would love to ride trains more.

No not me silly, do YOU like trains and or planes. [?]
Well of course you like trains or you wouldn't be here. [;)]
I know there are some (LIKE ME) who like planes also. [:)]
I have been wanting to share this info for a while but have not had the time to do so.
There are a lot of good places to get books, videos, models and other "things" about trains or planes. I have two catalogs--one for train items, and the other for plane items. I will share this info so anyone interested can either call them or email them to get their catalogs.
For TRAINS:
Historic Rail 1-800-261-5922
website www.historicRail.com
For PLANES:
Historic Avaiation 1-800-225-5575
website www.HistoricAviation.com
If you knew of these great, but if you didn't now you do. [:)]
