And I think I can add Call Rejection to the features that I will be getting for not a lot of money. This package will take effect this Friday. In April of this year I signed on with NetZero for internet service, and I agreed to a one-year contract with them, and I understand that if I terminate my service with them pre-maturely it will cost me $25.00. Well, I've never been happy with NetZero's service, and there were too many technical problems with their service that were never resolved. I am determined to say "good riddance" to these people even if it costs me $25.00.

If you have "Caller I.D." and you don't recognize the number, don't answer it.

Best I can say; we have to do that quite often.

(Especially if I'm working on the model railroad or things like that.)

Get the phone numbers to the States's Attorney General's Office, and a Federal

 "No Call

List" and get your phone number blocked for those kinds of calls. (it does semi work)

Now as far as getting the "political parties" to stop calling you; please let me know.

Multitasking tonight.  Printing some tickets, filling the waterbed, even a little laundry.  It's been a bit dry lately, so I can only fill the mattress for short periods at a time.  Then the well gets to recover.

Hopefully it'll get filled all the way up before bedtime....

Hi Paula and folks,

Just dropping by on the way home. I learned about a Belgian light desert today. It is called L'orange. Thick Graham Cracker covered with Orange Marmalade or Peach Preserves served with fresh coffee. I tried it and it was, frankly, very good. Let me know what you think

Rain expected here in the Piedmont over the next two days, good thing we got the lawn over seeded today.

Take care all,

Good afternoon, folks.  Cannonball, good to see you in here! When next month is your rail trip? (Sorry to say, I can't remember exactly when you and Shirl are  leaving.)  Guess my memory is failing me.

Mookie, are you enjoying the domestic goddess role?

Supper tonight is leftovers:  roast, taters & carrots, beef stroganoff, Chinese, burritos and chimichangas left.  (Getting fridge cleaned out for Mutt's spaghetti casserole tomorrow.)

You all have an enjoyable evening, and take care.

Only 43 right now, but looking to be a beautiful day!

Filling in a staffing gap on Saturday, as conductor.  Could have worked a couple days this week on the railroad but couldn't get away from work.  This gas thing isn't helping any.

Bearclaw and some tea...

Yeah, the trees are beginning to show more color around here, also.  Especially the ones that started turning colors back in July.  That's one thing I miss, when we had the oak tree in the back yard.  But, last week, I we were really glad that it was no longer in the back yard!  We would have probably had a nice size hole in our roof.

The lunch part of our Tuesday Mexican Fiesta is now on the warmer bar:

1.  Tacos (hard & soft shells); 2.  burritos (beef, beef & bean, beef enchilada style), enchiladas, chimichangas, Spanish rice, fajitas

When Dare to Care showed up today, with the produce, we didn't get any potatoes or watermelons today.  They brought us:  green beans, corn, romaine lettuce and cabbage.

During the past week, Dare to Care has set up several stations around the metro area, and handed out a lot of potatoes and watermelons, along with other canned & boxed goods, for the people who had no power in their homes.  So none of the ones who usually complain about what is brought to us, did any complaining today.  It was really nice, not to have people complain about what was or wasn't delivered.

You all have a good afternoon, and I'll be back in later on this afternoon.

Cool and clear here this morning - I don't think there's a cloud for miles!

Randy - I haven't checked the "color charts," but it is definitely getting bright up this way.  Maybe we'll be spared any storms until well after the colors peak.  All too often, just as things are getting really colorful, we'll get a windy, rainy storm that blows all the leaves right off the trees...

Kinda late, but that bearclaw still sounds good...

Caught a brief glimpse off Matt H this afternoon in the exhibit hall (tan billboard shirt) about 3:30 and then lost him. Attendance here is rumored to be near record. No sign of RWM yet (plenty of others from his outfit) or the others. Dissappointed that the outdoor REMSA show did not happen. Mooks would love to see the tonka toys that got inside along with the other displays. Joe woulda had fun with da sheep-jump frog right inside the door - looks kinda strange, like a flangeway is missing. We saw the weinerdog races in Cincy, .....da boyz would have eaten the bunz and scattered in the other three cardinal directions (being the stubborn scottish dogs they are, it would be beneath them to comply with racing rules, and they would investigate other directions)

Update: Have been found by RWM and Matt within about 5 minutes of each other yesterday. (About 17 college students in yesterday's "Meet the Next Generation" presentation with various flavors of engineering students getting an eyeful of how much is possible as the current crowd of railroaders start retiring/ leaving in the next 5 years....Havre, MT's Chamber of Commerce would not have been happy about some of the jokes made at its expense, but beyond that it was a good show. Good Tuesday morning, everyone.  Pleasant morning here, with a temp of 67 degrees.  Going to be a rather warm day, with a high in the mid to upper 80s.

Coffee, juices, hot chocolate and hot water for tea are ready; on the breakfast bar this morning:  cereal, toast, bagels, bear claws, sausage & biscuit sandwiches and toasted BLTs.

For all you photographers who come in, how about, since Autumn is here, posting some of your autumn shots (with or without trains in them).  And, since it's early in the season, autumn shots from previous years are more than welcome to be posted in here.

Have a good morning, everyone, and I'll see you after I get through with Tuesday Produce.
