Happy St. Patrick's Day All!!

Beautiful morning here - even if it is only 16 at 8 am.
Daughter and her husband are headed south to visit the new arrival next weekend. If my son has his way, I'll be tagging along, but I'm waiting to see what other plans my potential ride may have for the trip and whether I can be something other than extra baggage. I'll probably run down in a few more weeks and visit them again anyhow.
That hot tea's gonna taste good this morning.
As an aside - we have our annual "St Patrick's Day" chicken barbeque at the same time each year, for obvious reasons. The weather over the years has ranged from icy to warm, bordering on hot, and we've had to deal with ice melting under the fire and dousing it to responding to grass fires. You just never know what March will bring.

Weatherliar started with flurries, then 2-4", then 4-8", then 6-12", then 8-16". Hit the green beer a little too early? At least the ground was warm so it melted (so far) on the street, driveway and sidewalk.
Joe et al - it was eerily quiet all nite last nite. We didn't go out yesterday - kind of a blah day. Stayed home and played domestic goddess. Sat was a good day, tho. Sent lots of coal east and south. And moved some freight. Nothing unusual, tho.
Know the Chicken is out there. He seems a little quiet. Need to rattle his cage a little more.
CW - a cup of good coffee - I made coffee this morning and it is acky....

Good Monday morning, everyone. Gee, I'm running late this morning, and no one's been in here since I was in last night?!?! You all must have worn yourselves out yesterday!
Coffee and other beverages are ready this morning, and the usual breakfast items of turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, toast, hash browns or tater tots, homemade buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy are on the warmer bar.
Have a great morning, and take care!

Dale, help is ALWAYS appreciated around here!! And yeah, if you're offering to help out around here Thursday, WELCOME!!!! If I can watch the game, you betcha!!
Joe and Lance, got containers ready for you guys for work tonight! They're in the fridge, with your names on them, as usual.
Everyone, have a great evening (what's left of it, on the east coast), take care, and see ya tomorrow!!
Sorry - no chicken left over from the barbeque today, or I'd share.
But I'm good with roast beef any time!
Good Sunday afternoon!! Looks like the powers that be finally got finished with system maintenance!! (Although, all morning long, when I would try to log in, I noticed that several other Trains forums members were logged in!)
Joe, glad you found the leftover pizza!!
good early morning
everyone got home safe tonight.CW thanks for saving me some pizza.good night.
joe
Good evening everyone. Thanks for the calzone!
We've had some weird weather today in Sacramento, CA. There were occasional thunderstorms around us and was quite cool in daytime but I never got any rain.
Grampa Larry and new Dad ; seeing big smiles is a pleasant break from all the grief in the south land. Such a beatiful little Evie. Congrats to all of you folks. Respectfully , Cannonball and Shirl
CW , we will have some floundering halibut w/ hush puppies and salad . oh ~~ and coffee , thank you.

The pizzas are now ready and on the warmer bar. On our Saturday Pizza Fest menu:
1. Anchovie2. Cheese3. Goetta4. Hawaiian5. Italian w/Italian sausage6. Pepperoni/Mushroom7. Pepperoni/Sausage8. Supreme9. Chicago10. Calzones
You all enjoy your pizzas! And there's plenty of them to go around: I made 4 of each of the 9 pizzas, and also made 4 pans of calzones. (If there's any left, they'll probably be leftovers for Sunday Dinner tomorrow, along with whatever I fix for our Sunday Dinner.)

The rest of the SEC tournament games are being played at the Alexander Memorial Coliseum at Georgia Tech. However, due to the limited seating size (only 9,000 seating capacity), only players, players' families, team band members and cheerleaders, and press-credentialled people will be allowed inside the stadium. All games will likely be played on TV over the Raycom regional network, including the final (which was supposed to be on CBS but the new start time of 1500 hours EDT conflicts with the time of the Big Ten tournament game tomorrow).
Yes, Eolafan, we can add Italitan Pizza to the menu. You're lucky: I came in to start making up the pizzas for tonight, and saw your request. So, it's one of the several I'm in the process of making up for tonight. I'll be posting the entire menu around 6:30, 7 p.m. EDT.
For once, CNN didn't have to send any reporters half-way around the world; they literally
had a "Person on the Street!" Their building, along with several others suffered some major
damage.
Not sure about actual dollar loss to buildings, etc.; but Atlanta definitely will be losing
some tourist revenue, especially from fans attending the SEC Tournament. They've
moved todays games to the Georgia Tech. Fieldhouse since the Georgia Dome has
been damaged. Now there's not enough room for all the fans to get in there.

CW, wow...pizza is among my favorite basic food group substitutes (that is since it has grain, vegetables, meat and dairy ingredients all rolled into one!). Can I make a special request and ask for traditional think crust Italian style with extra cheese and Italian sausage?
Ray and CW thanks for breakfast.I didn't hear about those storms and the dome but safety first! I will be listening to the radio today for the ohio basketball state championships. In division 3 ottawa glandorf plays today.save matt and mamma some pizza tonight.I'm going with my nephews for his bachleor party.(yes I am the DD)
Good Saturday morning, everyone! Ray, thanks so much for starting breakfast, and brewing the coffee, and making fresh juice! I always appreciate any and all help in and around here!! To go along with what Ray set out, you also have your choice of the following brunch menu: turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, homemade buttermilk biscuits & sausage gravy; plus, there's cantaloupe chunks, pineapple slices, fresh blueberries, mangos, bananas, pears, oranges and apples.
Dale, yes we can watch the NCAA games in the Cafe. Satellite is all set up. In this house, we don't follow the Louisville Cardinals: we're UK Cats fans, all the way! Glad I didn't stay up last night to watch our University of Ky. Wildcats: I'd have been up all night, waiting. Believe, if I heard correctly this morning, the games will be played this afternoon at Georgia Tech. Don't believe I'd be wanting to be anywhere near the Georgia Dome, until it is totally repaired, from those winds that hit it last night. They still haven't said that it was a tornado that ripped the big hole in the dome. I'm just glad no one lost their life last night. Have heard of some injuries, though.
Ray, hope you enjoy your visit, meal and night out with your friends!!
Good morning folks. It looks like I'm the first one in here this morning. I've mixed a fresh batch of orange juice and I've got the coffee brewing. I'm going to leave an assortment of donuts, cream-filled rolls and bear claws on the counter here, and I'll let someone else handle other details for breakfast this morning.
I will be headed for work in a little more than an hour, and right now here in Sioux Falls we have a temp of 26 degrees. It's supposed to get up to about 37 this afternoon. We have a little bit of snow this morning in the forecast, but hopefully it will not amount to much. My arthritic knees are bothering me this morning, but I've got a few heat wraps and they should help.
Gonna go out and have dinner tonight with a couple old friends of mine at Texas Lone Star here in Sioux Falls. I'm looking forward to a steak dinner or maybe barbecued pork ribs and some conversation with my friends.
I hope the rest of you out there have a very good day!
Ray

Paula, next Friday is Good Friday, and the first full day of spring. Is it also day 2 of March Madness?
13th ranked Louisville may be playing, so can we watch the games in the Cafe?
I'll have a quick bite of fish and hushpuppies but must eat lightly as I am playing bridge tonight and the hostess always has lots of goodies. I am not about to mess up and not sample all she offers - I wish to be invited back.
Have a great weekend, and all of you that are 'running' this weekend, be safe.
Jack
Nice additional photos, Larry!
I've fried more fish, fries and hushpuppies, and boiled more corn on the cob, and replenished everything else on the warmer bar. So mosey on over to the warmer bar, grab a plate or two, and fill 'er up!
Everyone have a great evening, and I'll see ya later!
