Today I saw a NS stack train pulling into E-Port with two UP engines leading. When I crossed over Oak Island Yard on the turnpike I saw a patched SP dash 9 and a UP GE. With all of the UP power, I thought I was out west.

.....a former BC Rail SD40-2 in a BNSF Drag Freight pulling into Denver from Pueblo. The BCRail logo was painted out, but the new owner's Umler code was not stencilled above the locomotive unit number. Those red/white/blue units really stand out in a herd of dark green locomotives!

Last weekend, I saw te strangest thing. I saw on the BNSF fast track, in Naperville, a CSX GP38-2 carrying a loaded coal train. It was pretty big too.

I took a vacation day Friday and used the 3 day holiday weekend with my vacation day for a 4 day weekend. [^] I headed to Missouri to visit my parents. [:)]

While at the farm I saw:

Rail Link 254 (or 264) while walking the dog,

A SP unit (unpatched) as the second unit in a BNSF coal drag,

I also saw 3 cars lettered, "Family Lines" [:0] Wow, a blast from the past. [;)]

Tons (literally lol [;)] ) of coal and of course the engines pulling them. They were mostly BNSF units.

I did see one leased unit that looked like it was ready to fall apart.

Today I saw a leased unit in SP paint. Don't remember the number though but it didn't look too good either. [:(]

The Southwest Chief. Not in person. I happened to check the Ft Madison Webcam and saw it held for the bridge. Just happened to be doing a check of the three webcams I normally watch. Was running through the cams again just now and there was the Southwest Chief, pulling into Galesburg (and on time, too!)

Today I saw Bn 6162, An SD-9 of CBQ vintage, parked in the Sioux Falls yard. Around here, most local locomotives are old Geeps. Grain trains coming through typically have big bombers on the front. BN 6162 is still cascade green. It looks road worn and filthy.

Thanks to Chris / CopCarSS for my avatar.

Today I saw a train lead by UP 8-40C #9091, UP SD40-2 2983 and D&RGW tunnel motor #5401 which was wearing all its D&RGW livery. It seemed rather clean and appeared to be untouched by the UP paint brush.

Today, (well yesterday, it is after midnight) in the Brunswick CSX / MARC yard, I found a pair of B & O Budds. There are vines on the opposite side, and the B & O lettering is fading through the Maryland Department of Transportation lettering.
