Good thing it was that and not anchovies

I am so excited! I had quite a thrill this afternoon!
Got to go trackside and saw maybe 6-7 trains, but 2 of them - both freight and headed into the yards - one had 8 engines on the head end and the other had 5. (no DPUs) Since that is my favorite part of a train - I was thrilled. And especially since they were the BNSF lower numbers, which means most of them were an older vintage.
Some looked like a new paint job, so are probably going into the yard to be redistributed throughout the system. Or maybe they just like to parade them outside the yard for thrill-seekers to see occasionally!
Ah - life is good!

Thanks to Chris / CopCarSS for my avatar.
I don't know just what halibut eat, but they might eat pizza.
The idea of fish head soup does NOT appeal to me. I have been known to make salmon pie (using canned salmon, onion, gelatin, mayonnaise, capers, and one or two other things) and serving it to company.
Ricki liked fish much better than I, so I did prepare it for both of us to eat on Fridays. She really liked sole, so that was what we had unless there was none available. She liked lamb even better, and when we were first in Victoria, she ordered Australian or New Zealand roast lamb while I ordered a meat that was more likely a local specialty--baked salmon (I really enjoyed it).
This past Friday, Katie and I agreed with a mortgage company to spend the next thirty years paying for a house that we will share. She expects to move in about three weeks, and I will probably move the following week.
Johnny
Murphy - That was so bad! Plus I bet you don't know you can't tuna piano....
Johnny - moving is right at the top of things I really, truly hate doing. It is like a whole lot of house cleaning and we all know I am incredibly allergic to house cleaning. Makes me break out in green spots. (Well, the Driver is buying it....I think)

Good Monday morning all, and, I guess, for the most part, this has been a very good year. Yeah, we (our country, in particular), as seen a lot of ups & downs; maybe we can all hope that, as Colonel Potter used to say on M*A*S*H, "may it be a *** site better one!"
Also sending Happy Birthday wishes to Houston Ed!! May you have a Very happy day today and always, Ed!!
Joe, thanks for coming in early and getting the coffee and other drinks and breakfast ready.
According to our local weather guessers, Louisville and Bullitt County may only see a dusting when this next front comes in around/after midnight tonight. Bullitt County may see a mix of rain or freezing rain/snow, but may only be rain. I'd rather see just the rain, myself.
Everyone have a good day, and I'll try to get in sometime this afternoon, to close up here and open the new place.
Hey Swamp Man: Happy Birthday and....I got'cher cake covered.

There was once (and may still be) a radio personality whose tag line was "Stay tuna'd."
Hoping for a quiet NYE. It's "amateur night," after all, and a lot of folks may well have their ditch finders on...
I'll probably continue a long-standing tradition and do a load of laundry...

WOW. I woke up feeling like I have been hit by the Amtrak. If I had been to a party last night I'd have sworn I'd been a brawl....
Mookie, If you break out in green spots, stay out of green spots!

Cold and rainy down here in Alamo City, I have one more foray to make to the grocery store, and then I am in for the evening.
Hope everyone here is doing well.
...My celebration for New Year's Eve {day}, completed this morning....Hair cut....stop at ATM....Stop at Meijer's for some items.....put gas in truck, and back home and I intend to stay here the remaining part of 2012.
I knew another snow band has zeroed in on Indiana, especially, Muncie....and it did start about 1 o'clock here, and is still doing so...Forecast is 1 to 3 on snow.
We are above freezing, but probably not for long....Streets are still just wet...Driveway is still clear, even much of my sidewalk into the house. Cold for next few days, and then extended, I understand the jet stream may move north, and give us some relief. We're edging in on the equal of the total snow for all of last season.
