I'm 79 going on 90. Just planning my last layout after 20 years of arm chair model railroading. As I suspected from reading the posts, and all of the 4 x 8 layouts, this is a youthful membership. I can tell because no one pays any attention to my posts any more than my kids and grandkids pay attention to grampa.

Hey where are the women... Am I the only one venturing into the boys room..Not likely most guys I know are in my sewing room(well OK train room)... As for age, you never ask a lady her age..I suppose who said I was a lady...40 on my birth certificate..30 on my lips..probably in between for my hips...Still not too old for teaching the youngsters a thing or 2 about computers and old enough to know better(just)..So last time where are the women and you guys please stop pushing the door shut, I tell you what, someone gonna be making there own coffee's soon...
Bye for now...
I got lost in thought, it was unfamiliar territory...

Old enough to know what's right, and young enough not to choose it..

(I just had to throw that line in somehow...)

I am pleasantly surprised by the results so far. I totally expected the results to be skewed to the younger side because of this being an internet forum but it's great to see this is not the case. If only I could convince my Mom.. I got my aunt and uncle into the internet age about 10 years ago or so, but my mom shows no interest in ever touching a computer.

I'm 17 years old and although I haven't been able to enhance the small, simple layout I currently have very much, I'm developing plans for a larger future layout. Hopefully I'll have a job that will enable me to afford it. Oh yeah, one last thing--the UP rules!
