One day older then yesterday and one day younger then tomorrow...
(I hope).. A friend of mine and I went on a steam excursion today ..He is in his 70's I'm in my 50's but you know what really made the day was all the young people that were there too ... From about 5or 6 years to teenagers and on up. The sun was shinning , the smoke was black and the steam had that wonderful hot water smell..It was nice to see so many younger people getting an experience that they will never forget and hopefully we hooked a few ... By the way it was pulled by an old logging Mike...What a day ,six photo runbys... the train crew and organizer got cheers and and applause at the end..
A little slice of Heaven..

I am in the 70-75 category and I beg to differ about sleeping in. I am retired but get up at 5:30 am because I want to enjoy every minute and the mornings are beautiful!

Go to bed at 10:30 pm every night. I sleep like a log.

nharrison21 hey don't worry about being young. At least you can learn from our mistakes and have ahead start we never had. The internet only just started for most of us. So you have an advantage we never even dreamed of when your age.
So have fun and don't worry about us older gents. We ae just here to inflict you er um I mean pass on our wisdom. lol [:D]
My name is Stephen and I want to give back to this great hobby. So please pop over to my website and enjoy the free tutorials. If you live near me maybe we can share layouts. :) Have fun and God bless. http://fsm1000.googlepages.com

45.

46 in October.

None of that "39 and holding" nonsense for me. I'm as old as I am, and proud of it, presbyopia, receding hairline, and CRS notwithstanding!

I'm 21. I've always liked trains since I was little, and have built a few small dioramas based around trains. I had a train set 5 or 6 years back, but didnt have the space or money for a layout.

Just yesterday I bought a train set to start my first running layout, which will have to be pretty small at around 4' by 7'. I'm sure it will be pretty basic, but it'll be good to get a start and some experience in building a layout myself.

I won't vote, because I'd rather not reveal personal info on the internet, but I'll at least let you know that I'm younger than 100.[:D]

My daughter is 7 and has caught the train bug!

Things are looking up I guess. She not only is the youngest generation, but female to boot!
