I didn't vote -

1. Because my favorite RR of all time is the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific .. or the ROCK ISLAND LINE, in short!

AND

2. Because, after looking at the poll results FIRST, it wouldn't let me go back and vote for "Other" - it told me I couldn't vote "again" !

A flaw in the system ???

Canadian Pacific. For US roads, I like Montana Rail Link for their scenery and colour schemes/graphics.

N&W, and C&NW. Both in the "other" category.

Should have included CN or CP on this list, since both have extensive operations in the USA and CN is majority-owned by US shareholders (and has a US-citizen president).

As for me, I like a li'l ole RailAmerica regional - the Cape Breton and Central Nova Scotia Railway. 234 miles of shortline goodness!

I voted 'Other' since my favorite was the Western Maryland RR. It was absorbed in the merger of the B&O and C&O during the 70's into what eventually became CSX.

You definitely should have included Canadian Pacific! It is pretty widely modeled. Needless to say, I voted "other".

Penn Central. Where else could you see GG1s running alongside modern (well, at that time anyway) diesels? Not only that, but engines from all 3 predecessors in various paint schems (PRR black, tuscan red, DGLE, NYC cigar band, various NH schemes, etc) along with the new PC paint jobs.

BTW, I still think it's ironic that black NS units are running on many former PC lines :)
