Interchange list for 12-19-2005

JPowell

QUOTE: Needed -
10,000 rail ties - No rush as project will be slow moving for the next 2 weeks thanks to the holidays and vacations.

Will send 2000 (4 gons) this week and 2000 (4 more gons) next week, you need these "green" or treated? I'm willing to send 2000 per week until order is filled.

Fergie

5 loads Kubota tractors (happy to load containers for overseas shipments, just let us know.)

nharrison21

1 load Asbestos

Yoshi

1 load foam insulation
2 loads lumber

Ken

2 loads copper ore

Noah

3 cars of pulpwood
2 loads coal (100 +/- tons)

Inbound (to me) 2 loads tractor seats. Reload out 2 loads Kubota tractors.

Inch53

1 load foam insulation

Awaiting soybeans for processing into bean meal.

luct

1 load antique autos (auto rack)

CW

4 loads of Coal
2 Gold ore
2 Cotton (baled)
1 Expanded foam insulation
1 Asbestos
1 Mixed load of Wine and Beer
3 Wood Chips
2 Flour
2 Textiles
6 loads Kubota tractors
2 boxcars with antique autos (ramping up to 4/week)
1 gon wire on spools (brokered load)

Copper products from Ken
1 boxcar copper plumbing (includes fittings)
1 flat with copper tubes and sheets (tarped)

1 armored Pullman on captive service lease

QUOTE: (Do I have everything right this week?)

Almost. Delete outbound coal, make it iron instead. Inbound will be 3 (three) copper loads, 1 gon with finished wire, 1 boxcar with copper plumbing including fittings, and 1 flatcar with copper sheets and tubes, tarped. The wine will be with beer, 1/2 load of each in one car (as reflected above). If you need more wire and less other copper products, be sure to let us know.

Recap

49 loads outbound plus 1 armored Pullman interchanged (excluding 2 from Ken)

All traffic listed above will be considered permanent weekly traffic except JPowell's ties which will be for 10,000 ties.

Now that all this is sorted out, I have new customers to serve, so that's really gonna screw up the works (hopefully not).

Send 'em on. Effective immediately, this will be considered permanent traffic unless otherwise specified.

1/week: Wood mouldings and trim (Peachtree)
1/week Aluminum extrusions (Peachtree)
2/week Glass, sheets (Peachtree)
2/week Pallets (Concept)
2/week Crate assemblies (Concept)
1/week Wood boards (Concept R&D purposes)
1/day Baled wool (Mount Vernon Mills aka MVM)

The wool load will be a reload, do you want raw textiles or finished consumer goods? Also, Peachtree loads 1-for-1, so that will be 4 loads windows/doors, should I send them your way? The Concept loads are primarily for Kubota, so those will reload from Kubota (as usual). If this is acceptable, then this will be considered permanent outbound traffic.

LSIModeler I am asking to learn a "Location" of your virtual railroad on this thread.

Ken can use your scrap, if I am located between, I will bridge your scrap to him. Regarding the iron ore, I may need some after all for my booming foundry by establishing a small plant to process it to a form useable by the foundry.

twcenterprises

Accepted and written into pernament traffic.

Im working on improving ore production, we are near several small mines that date back to colonial times and it is slow and steady. I consider this commodity fully utilized at this time with no excess production capacity except what might be bridged in from other railroads.

That scope of everyone's track ownership is beyond me. But my line is located in western maryland area with connections in Harrisbrug PA, Wheeling WVA (thinking of routing direct to either Somerset or Harrisburg) Manassas Va

I think Ken is to my east and he is my port and sea access.

I think twcenterprises is to my south.

Fergie is overseas and I access his traffic via others with port access.

While it is obvious I did not cover everyone I hope it will help you and others locate me on this thread.

Also Operations on Falls Valley will cease effective Christmas Eve GMT and resume the midnight after christmas day.

Helper Service is being readied for severe service at Summit and all signals set to green. With the exception of Summit Helpers no trains or service will exist for this time period.

This is to assist in having a Christmas with all high Greens.

TWCEnterprises -
Treated, please? Also, can you wait till he 3rd of January to ship them? A few of my MoW crewmen are coming down with what looks like the start of the flu. I've told them to take the next 2 weeks off, so they can be well rested for the holidays.

Attention all -
Effective immediately, the CNY Rail Corp is on minimal staffing, including office personnel. Due to this staffing level, for the next 2 weeks, we'll only be accepting 'Emergency' bridge traffic to and from Fergie. All other inbound and outbound traffic will be routed at either Albany (Selkirk Yard) NY, or at any of the yards in the Buffalo NY area. All carriers have been notified of this and have started effective noon today to follow these routing instructions.
Also, effective from 12noon on the 22nd of December, till 8am on the 26th, these offices and yard will be closed and all lights will be GREEN

LS&I, can I get 3 cars of pulpwood a week? My interchange facilities are located in Green Bay WI, or Oshkosh, WI(the ARK is a shortline) so if you can ship them via WC They’ll be sure to get to me.

Nick, as far as my map goes, you are close, your in the right state, but you made the ARK look more like an empire then it really is. It’s a shortline, so my track age is basically a dot on a map as big as you have. I run between Appleton and Oshkosh WI, by way of a little neighborhood called Rivermoor. If were to draw a line between Green Bay and Oshkosh WI, you would be close enough. If you made a “C” from Appleton, WI, around the lake that it there, and down to Oshkosh WI, you would be even closer yet.

Also note that we are technically part of the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad. So, if you see this map: http://www.wsorrailroad.com/images/sysmap3a.gif, you will note that Oshkosh is at the end of the WSOR’s line. If you add a line North from Oshko***owards the top of Winnebago county, this would be considered the fictional ARK line. If you want to rough out the whole WSOR system too you can, as it is technically part of the ARK, but just the line from Oshko***o Green Bay described in the last paragraph would be good enough.

Noah

P.S. I got to get me Google earth, it sure looks like it would work well for things like route planning.....

Nice maps.

Here is mine.

I moved the Wheeling Interchange to Cumberland Md due to excessive hog law problems.

http://img482.imageshack.us/img482/8742/fallsvalleyrailroadrouting8pm.jpg

I could not get it to come up properly due to the URL getting trashed by it's long length on this post box.

In my fictional railroad that I have planned in HO scale, the trains will come out of staging (Interchanges) and go to the main yard. There they get sorted into locals to serve several towns that do the pick ups and set outs. Traffic that are bridge traffic simply go thru with Helper service or even fuel/water stop.

Enjoy

On the F7's, are they ballasted or "light"? I have an old bridge that needs light-footed engines and these might be perfect. If so, I'd take all of them, even the dead ones for "parts".

Next week, in anticipation of our 44 tonner returning, we expect to send 2 of 4 RS3's for overhaul. Upon their return, the next 2 will ship out. Afterward, we will look into our F units.

Please note the correct spelling is TWCEnterprises, no "o".

Geographically, I don't cover QUITE that much territory. My line runs from Gainesville north to Cleveland, and branches off to Dahlonega. About 55 miles of track.

LSIModeler

What kind of cabooses you got? We still use 'em. As for the "all-door", well, they can be great starting points for all kinds of conversions (Southern Railway had bunches of them and converted nearly all of them into various other things; pulpwood racks, coil cars, you name it.)

JPowell

OK, the gons have been pulled from the interchange track, we will ship out the first batch of treated crossties on New Year's Weekend, for arrival on or around the third of Jan.

the 44 tonner will ship on its own on monday but my office will be closed. an engineer is using it to get home for the holidays so its a bonus for him hahaha
