my sig pic is an IC SD70 and a BNSF GP60B- it's cool to see both roads together- there is a 90% chance that in EXACTLY 2 weeks(from tonight) i'll be decaling those engines.

Thats good that you will be decaling in 2 weeks. The IC engines in my sig pic are both SD70's. The lead engine #1006 is the model I have.

my vintage Atlas FP7 tried to kill itself tonight. I was pulling a good number of cars, had a derailment, stopped the train to fix it and then i took off w/ about 65% throttle to make it around the curve and a coupler came unhooked (it wasn't a kadee) the engine sped way up, flew off the table and hit the floor- i couldn't bear to see it hit the floor, but amazingly the only damage was the fron coupler broke off, so i guess it's okay.

i think it was mad at me -let me explain- today i received the 4 ore cars i won off ebay and since they're only about 25' long they pull easy- well i was pulling 10 NON FREE ROLLING cars w/ the FP7 plus 2 free-rolling open hoppers and the 4 free rolling ore cars which makes a total of 16- it pullled it fine slipped slightly around the curve where there is a slight grade but i could stop on the curve/grade and get the train moving and the wheels just barley slipped, i must say while i was p***ed it hit the floor so far it's a really good engine considering it sat for some 30 years (and cost me $26 new in box) but sometimes even w/o a load i have to open the throttle 60% and then it takes off like mad (and yes this is with the momentem off) maybe it still needs more time to break-in the mechinism.
