That looks good. I haven't even tried to weather me engines yet so your a step ahead of me

This is an IHC 2-stall engine house. I used the "Betty Crocker" method for mortaring - rub with plain white baking flour, then spray with Dullcoat. After it was dry, it was too bright so I gave it a thin India Ink wash. The "soot" above the entrances is dry-brushed with black acrylic. The whole thing actually looks a bit more grimy than this, but the flash brightened it. The surrounding scenery is still under construction, and the Bowser PCC car is still in its original unpainted state.

Matt, is that Tex Mex box headed for eBay?

Green is my favorite color to weather over.

Aggro: Nah, I'm not taking a chance. I've got an Intermountain Espee hopper in the works, though.

This is a project that I started a few years ago and got shelved for a while and have decided to finish off:

It's a double paint job, first as Lehigh Valley, then as a D&H "Blue Dip" with most of the paint removed. The next step is to rust it up! I will be back with progress photos.

Man, some of these cars will make you look 3 or 4 times. Incredible work. Aggro, pretty soon, you are going to be famous. And Jeff, you are supposed to post pictures of model, not real ones.[;)]

Here is one of my favorties.

Here is a string of equipment I have painted and weathered,
Rivvarrossi Cab Forward repainted to a St. Joe Valley scheme (club layout)
other cars are in the SJV paint and a couple prototype lines.
Most were just given a good overall weathering for effect.
The Cab Forward is not painted static black, I give it a bit of greying.
As time goes dust, grime get onto paint. I read all you flat black painters threads on this. 8-P
Not full black helps bring out details.

I wanted to focus on the gondola as I used a special weathering kit.

The top even has scattered dirt in it.
Its all applied weathering.

I'm a chicken when it comes to weathering, but this loco, being prototypically the oldest in the fleet, I forced myself to weather it. This is my first ever attempt at weathering, and I'm pretty satisfied with it, but still hesitate to weather anything! I'm afraid of making a loco, or rolling stock look horrible, and not being able to fix it!
