I'd have to say my brass N&W 'J', my very first engine, is my favorite, but I love a lot of them. VGN 2-8-4, 2-8-8-2, 2-8-2, N&W Class 'A'.... that's enuf.
What could have happened.... did.

At the club my favorite is a Proto 2K S1. At home it's an MDC 2-6-0.

I'm sure some of you folks out there have dozens of engines in your collection, while I've only got a modest little collection of about 16 engines which I'm really proud of. Out of these 16, I've got one steamer and one diesel that I favor over all the others. The steamer is a 2-8-2 Western Pacific Mikado made by Kato and the diesel is Southern Pacific GP 40-2 made by Atlas.
If I ever had to sell off my collection, these would be the last two to go...
