If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough!
NWP SWPYeah I was thinking a used Harley Sportster, they came with 800cc engines, they are in my price range, and is the style bike I like.
Nice bike. Just remember to save your money after you buy the bike. You know what they say, "HD stands for another Hundred Dollars."

NWP SWP. . .I'm currently planning on taking the motorcycle licensing course in Zachary, I've been considering getting a motorcycle for a while and this would be the first step. . .
I was in your place a few months back. I had always wanted to own a motorcycle but said I would not get one until I first learned to ride. I took the Motorcycle Safety Foundation two-day Basic Rider Course which included the tests to get the motorcycle endorsement on my license. This was a great way to get started. Some suggestions from my experience.
Good luck. Be cafeful. Be alert. (The world needs more lerts.)
I've narrowed it down to some sort of Behavioral Psychology, maybe Criminal Science, or just general business management.
Not quite sure probably won't declare a major my first semester.
NWP SWP Am I invisible?
I see you!
What would you study at LSU?

Afternoon Diners
Flo, give the gang and I a please and Ulrich anything he wants.
Ulrich Far as counting the days with out smoking? For some reason I like to keep track of such things. Maybe I should have been a Book Keeper. I can tell you I have been saving change for the last 434 weeks, I have been with this company 306 weeks, have not worked with Jerry the for 161 weeks and I have read 297 books in the last 306 weeks! Guess it is just my nature? I can even tell you what I have spent on Trains the last 3 years.
Yes I am still vapping and kicking that habit will be the hard part. Main thing stopping me gor now is the cash outlay. To get a E Cigarette where I can control the Nicotine content I am looking at $70.00. Yea that is cheap, but not in the budget this month or next.
Later, none smoking Ken
I hate Rust
"The first five days after the weekend are always the hardest"
That is Rich. Do I have permission to borrow that one?
That's a good one Ulrich.

Bear. I will probably never get to see New Zealand in my life. It sure looks beautiful. Thanks
Today is June the Last, it has been a good visit here (wherever here is, I forgot).
July Middle of Summer... Howabout Washington DC, or is that too hot and humid this time of ear.
How about Plattsburg NY. They got a train track going through there. And then we could swim in the pond.

EVERYWHERE LOST; WE HUSTLE OUR CABOOSE FOR YOU
Good morning, everyone. It's Sunday, so no Bloody Mary until later.
Bear, you live in a beautiful country. At one time, I wanted to visit. However, at my age, I've decided there are too many places in the U.S. that I haven't yet seen, so that's where my trips will probably be. It's no wonder some of our best movies are filmed in your country with the great scenery.
Ulrich, so glad you are beginning to feel better.
When I put in my fireplace, I installed a heavy duty screen over the top of the chimney. I learned from my father-in-law after he got a nest of birds in his chimney. I can't imagine have a dead raccoon in the chimney for months.
I used to cut and split a lot of firewood, but last year gave it up. I buy firewood from a former student -- he brings a pickup load every so often. Starting in October, we have a fire just about every day.
It's mainly for the smell and view. It's a regular fireplace, and I know that more of the house's heat goes out the chimney than we get heat from the fire, but both of us love the fires.
Track fiddlerThanks Bear. I just read the bottom of your page and I must say...... I'm confused. I'm confused What?........ Do you live in Antarctica, Greenland or the Klondike?
“Well the main question Bear?
Did you get the Floatplane matter resolved?”
"One difference between pessimists and optimists is that while pessimists are more often right, optimists have far more fun."
Good Morning!
I can´t believe it! June 30th! Half the year has already gone by!
It´s the first day I feel a little better! The pain is not yet gone, but not as bad as in the past days. My hopes of being able to leave this place soon are rising!
Ken - congratulations on being smoke-free for 60 days now. You know you are past the habit when you stop counting the days Are still "vaping"?
TF - the Bear lives way down south, beyond the Equator, in New Zealand. Winter has just started there.
Memories of bugs! My second car was a 1971 VW 1302L "Super Bug", which already had a fan to de-fog the windshield. Not that this was very effective, though. Nice car, I wish I had it today!
Have a good one!
Yet one more treat Sorry guys, I'm just messing with ya...... I think we're all good here.
Farmington Minnesota, A very big grain elevator still there. Picture taken one week ago.
I liked it. TF
I talked to the cop on the corner while I was taking the picture. There was a car show there and he really liked my 69 Mustang.
The tracks are seen right in front of the pine tree. There was three more behind it.
Hello... can anyone hear me?!
Hey top of page!
Drinks on me fellas!
Track fiddler I always did like this boxcar, how about you? They use it for a work shed I think but it sure does look nice.
Anytime you can find a goat on a railroad car it is a plus!

BigDaddyNext we we met again and he found out where the second one was. It was August too.
Pheew! Did he have a damper in the fireplace? It would have been flopped on top of it. I've heard of critters making nests in chimneys. Disastrous results. High CO levels in the house. Deadly!
Cheers, Ed
Track Fiddler
Much better it was enjoyed at night
There's way more to the story than I could possibly tell.
I would encourage anyone to go to Branson Missouri for Christmas
Just don't take the scenic route out of town to Memphis.
Evening folks,
Thought I'd stop by...
Yes Louisiana is air is thick! When its 90+ and high humidity good luck breathing!
Today wasn't too bad we've had a below average summer as far as temperatures go.
Still at the Y, lotsa drama going round, I'm doing my best to stay clear of it.
I haven't had an off day since last Saturdayand won't until the 4th, then again I'll probably get called in that morning, so I'm banking on next Sunday, and I worked two shifts yesterday and am scheduled to do the same next Friday.
Thought I had a girl on the line, this is one I met back in March, she was trying to get a job as a life guard, we've seen each other every other week or so for about two months and we really hit it off, well now shes got the job and we've been talking/flirting back and forth for about two or three weeks a lot of cat and mouse stuff, I really haven't made any passes mostly shes been doing some advancing.
The other day I was hanging out after work and we were talking about music and I was saying how I sing big band music, she said "really what songs?" I broke out with Moon River and she almost swooned we did a duet through most of my catalog, it was truly amazing!
Sadly turns out she has a boyfriend... yeah... and we're currently just "good friends", which is still worth it, this chick is a model, knows about cars, can sing and act, and shes a looker so I'm glad to have made her acquaintance and will gladly be "friend zoned" for the present. If she is single eventually I'll take my shot, if not shes a good friend to have, there are other fish in the sea.
Nuff said about my relationships with the female of the species.
Finally started driving my truck again, still got a broken transmission but is drivable, the Overdrive one way clutch failed, using the electronic OD lockout allows for normal operation in 1st thru 3rd, its $1750 for a rebuild and will probably do that this fall.
I'm currently planning on taking the motorcycle licensing course in Zachary, I've been considering getting a motorcycle for a while and this would be the first step.
Also considering trying to learn to play guitar, and electric guitar that is, not going to be doing hard rock or metal, mostly softer stuff maybe some classic rock.
Much to the delight of my mother I am seriously looking at attending LSU in the spring, I now actually have a reason to stay, I'm in a good place at work, although still single I've got some good avenues that are worth pursuing, anyways...
I need a vacation, trying to get my parents to either 1 let me go to Miami/Palm Springs for a long weekend or 2 we go as a family, we shall see.
Anyways that brings yall up to speed with me, I'll give the jukebox a dime to play a new fave if mine.
Later guys!
Yet Another Treat
TF.
SOO LINE I was on board.
RideOnRoad Also, there is always the pool...
Also, there is always the pool...
Yep..... I remember that one part last time I was there.
I think everything will be good, they did have a really nice pool. I never swam in it though, there was too many other things to do.
Richard book a trip. It's so cheap and fun you'll have a ball. After you pay once they fly you down there and Lodge you for the rest of your life for free..... you have to use your players card. I guess they just like old folks gambling down there.
I paid once, I've been there four times
CNCharlieThere sure is a variance between the different methods of checking pressures. My doc has no use for those air puff tests.
Don't know about the air puffs. There used to be a hand held scale they set on your eye, but I have always had that blue light that stick in your eye. Once the topical anesthesia didn't work.
I have an aunt in her 90's that decided her glaucoma eye drops burned too much and stopped taking them and is now blind.
Racoons, did I tell the story of visiting a friend at his weekend vacation home. I arrived just seconds after he shot a racoon off his chimney with a shotgun. He said there were 2 but he didn't see where the second one went. Next we we met again and he found out where the second one was. It was August too.
60 days without ciggys is pretty good.
We maxed out at 97. Winds came through and lowered temps to 77 but by the time it actually thunderstormed, it was back to 86.

Those are really good.
I remember back in the late 70s. My friend Mike was tripping...... yeah you know, it was the seventies. I had two boxes of those Klondike bars in the freezer.
He wanted one, he wanted one, he kept paying me $5 a piece for those bars. I was smiling and laughing and selling them to him for $5 a piece
It was a fun night and I took all his money.
In the morning I gave my friend Mike all his money back and told him to pick me up two more boxes of Klondike bars because he ate them all
Mike was so happy that I was such a good friend. He put four more boxes of Klondike bars in the freezer that night. The roommate thing. Do you guys remember that crap.
Track fiddlerSwell...... Thanks for the heads up Richard. I'm sure they have Gatorade down there but I might just stick to the Vampire Theory...... Stay inn by day, go out at night.
The other thing to remember is that the dry air allows for major swings in the temperature. The mornings could be 30+ degrees cooler than the afternoon high. Since we don't observe DST, the sun is up by 5:00am and the temperature is managable until mid-morning. Also, there is always the pool...
Good Evening,
A nice day here, about 88F but it was fairly humid.
TF, you were asking about the Niagara, St. Catherines and Toronto. It was a short electric line that ran both freight and passenger. It interchanged with CN and was owned by CN after the formation of CNR in 1918. I have some photos of it in a book about CN steam in the Niagara area. The 'wire' was pulled down sometime in the '50s. It ceased all independent operation in 1960.
Not much done today.
Ken, there is a family of racoons resting on our neighbours roof right now. The house is a side split and they are sleeping under the overhang of the upper level. The little ones are sure cute. I expect they will be down in our pond as soon as it is dark. I was just at my opthamologist this week for my semi-annual check as I have glaucoma. There sure is a variance between the different methods of checking pressures. My doc has no use for those air puff tests.
