Mornin'...........

(twists the top back on the salt shaker, and tastes the white stuff in the sugar bowl and finds that it is salt......)  Zoe, I see people have been busy here this morning.  I'll have the #2 special, over easy on the eggs, bacon, homefries, and a double order of the sour dough toast please.

Yep, today is April Fools Day!  Believe nothing and trust no one....  Just like any other day!

Todays quote....  "Let us be thankful for the fools.  But for them the rest of us could not succeed!"  - Mark Twain

Have a good one!

Coffee, hold the sugar.

Ulrich good luck with the quacks.  My own is held hostage with 10 hospitals in Baltimore and DC with ransom ware.  Hackers get into the computer system and lock it up until they get a ransom, payable in Bitcoins.  Some stupid hospital in Calif payed and then called the FBI a couple weeks later, so that only encouraged them.  I do have a friend who got ransom ware on his personal computer.

Finally got my labwork out of them and my potassium is fine but now my blood sugar is high.  I certainly have eaten enough sugar to have diabetes, but my A1C was fine 6 months ago and 3 weeks ago my blood sugar was 104.  I will be checking my blood sugar and be on a mission to lose the 3kg I recently put on.

Galaxy I have been in your shoes and it is no fun.  In fact my ex wife (divorced 2000) came by this morning with monogramed beach towels that had my father and my initials on them.  My parents bought them easily 50 years ago.   Mine's a bit worse for wear.  I guess the new granddaughter did what the marriage counselor could not.

I have started laying track.

My first experience with using caulk to glue the track down and I made an important discovery.  If you are going to use caulk, where the points are, that will dry a light color, make sure the tube is too old to squeeze more than a couple inches out of the tube.

I'm going to put a mainline with an industrial branch to the right of the photo.  I've ordered a couple buildings from Walthers and I'm not sure how close to the back edge to put the branch line, or even if to angle it toward the back edge.  While that gets sorted out, I will be dropping feeders and planning busses.

ok I've edited the typos and the incoherent sentences 4 times now, I am going to the gym.  Everyday has a theme there, yesterday it was "bird legs" and plastic surgery enhancement.

Happy New Month!

Hi angelob - thanks for opening the diner since I will need a cup of mud before going to work.

Ulrich - Hope all goes well at the doctor.  My turn is coming up in a few weeks; lets see what he finds.

YGW - sent you a PM back.

The weather in Northern Virginia is bad today with strong winds and expected thunderstorms; stay at home and work on the railroad weather, not go to work.

Hope everybody is doing well and will drop by after work.

All the best.

Good morning diners,

Wake up, get up, it's the first of the month!

Since Ulrich went to the doctor this morning, I decided to open diner for April. As you wish it... it was answered. Cheesy I know.

Have a safe April Fools Day everyone.

Jeffrey's Trackside Diner- April 2016

In memory of

Jeffrey Scott Wimberly

July 7, 1960- December 15, 2014

AKA Running Bear

Volunteer firefighter, model railroader, and dear friend to many.

Jeffrey's Trackside Diner was formerly Elliot's Trackside Diner. It was renamed with new management to honor our friend.

Jeffrey's Trackside Diner is a meeting place for all who wish to join. We may talk on & off topic within the MR forum policy. Talk about ongoing or future model railroading projects, or simply share your day.

Beware of extreme off topics when blowing off steam. Surprisingly political, religion, and rude language. One man can crash it when it violations the rules of the house... Cousin Vinnie or his younger counterpart Steven.

This establishment is opened 24/7 for anything you desire to eat. The staff includes Janie, the twins Chloe & Zoe, Flo, Daisy, and Brunhilda.

Enjoy your stay.
