I read this thread the first day or two it was up and siad silent prayers for Jeff. Then, with holidays, shifts at both fire and ambulance and such, have not got back to it. This morning, (Christmas) with some quiet reading time, I went to the last page of the thread to see what's happening.
Yah, that's when I figured it out and backtracked from there. I am so sorry to hear of this and for his family, may they somehow have a blessed holiday season in spite of this. Jeff has gone to a better place without suffering, and may they rejoice and find comfort in this!
I wish I could say he commented directly on anything I posted but I can't. I CAN say I've read countless post's or replies of his which were always meaningful! His presence will be missed! Go easy bro!

I, like Duane, just rechecked this thread and was saddened by Jeff's passing. He endured in spite of his many hardships right up to the end.
I remember his avatar face popping up virtually every day in the diner. One of those kinda' guys you just always thought would be there and, then, suddenly, he is gone.
I am sorry for all who knew and loved him. For them, in their sadness, I pray they will find a way to carry on after his loss.

I haven't posted here in a long time, and only found out about this because Crandell mentioned it to me in passing, but I've put off looking into the details. Jeffrey was a constant when I was active here about 7 years ago, and I always admired the creativity and pluck that kept him modeling against odds I've never faced. I know we both enjoyed trying to make a silk purse from a sow's ear.
There's been too much of this of late, and why is it always this time of year?

Back when the forum listed post counts right there for everyone to see, I was always a distant second to Jeffrey. In part because I was gone for a couple of years, not actively participating in the hobby and kind of just hanging in there by a thread. At the time, I said the only possible way I could ever catch him was if he just quit posting. This is NOT how I wanted him to quit posting, though.
Should the obvious display pf post counts come back through some upgrades - unless they all get reset - it will take me several years to even come close. As long as Jeff's account remains on this system - I want my count reset before it exceeds his. Jeff should stay on top as part of the memory of his many fine contributions here.

Jeff's post count is 25,640. However, due to his illness, he started to fall behind in keeping his profile up-to-date, so that it only shows 25,450.
Jeff joined the forum in June 2004, and I joined in September of that year. Yet, his post count is more than double mine.
He surely was a prolific forum member. Fear not, we will never catch him.
