 Evening Dinners!

Flo, Wake up, I like a Beer Pleases.Beer

Did not feel great today, but not awful. Did get a little Garage Cleaning Done. Threw away some 2 X 4's I did not want and did a little running.

Next Train Layout I will use 3/4 inch plywood ripped in to 4" sections and 2X2 to square up the butt joints. There is no such thing as a straight 2 X 4 and half my layout problem is because I used them. Now, if they had been planed I be fine.

New Grill I now have a good idea what the problem was with the Flair Up. It just needs a driffrent kind of cleaning that the Lava Rock kind. Seems meat dripping's where building up on the floor of the grill, got burnt and became ash like. Then they acted like a wick for the new drippings. Used the shop vac and cleaned it out, now the problem is gone for now. BBQ is looking real good! Dinner Pork Steaks, Chicken Breast and Barts!

Yard Wars To hot to do a whole lot, but I did spary some nasty weed killer on the wild Grape Vin's. It will kill them, but then I got to get rid of them! So I need a little help here! How is the word spelled for the Big Knife used to cut vines in the Jungel? I can say it, but not spell it! Whistling Where might I buy one? I am not kidding either, some of the Bushes that are Vine Covered are now 7 to 10 foot wide!

Well BBQ is done, time to walk Sparkie the Rocket Dog and clean his ears.

 Later, Ken

I think the stress of this situation is getting to me. Lately I've had bad headaches, tingling in my face and eyes, weakness in my left arm and knee, pain in my back. I'm having trouble moving around and have to keep my knees locked just to stand. Lousy isn't a good word to describe it.

I'm calling it a day early today. See y'all whenever.

well, lets see here, we got slammed with $502.37 Out of Pocket Medical bills, and we are NOT even through the month yet! and there will be at least $255.00 MORE coming I see already in this month. That is a Total SO FAR of $757.00 THIS MONTH and I know more will sneak in from bills they won't pay the secondary on on me that have to or will come SOMETIME, probably THIS MONTH! That takes up about most of  my income. Then MOH has the bone density test on Friday, good thing there is we have 100% hospital charitable deduction so IT, or most of it, should BE FREE OF CHARGE TO US. We will have to pay the Dr,/Drs. to "interpret the results" though as they are not part of the hospital charitable discount as DRs, there DO NOT WORK for thte hospital, they are under contract from someome else! and I think we may actually be able t o deduct some medical stuff off our IRS bill next month, BUT, we have to reach 10% of your AGI, and then it's ONLY the amount OVER the  10% they allow you to deduct from AGI.

They call this "health insurance under the new laws"? I call it "bankrupt me or leave me to die as I can't afford to pay for it" .Don't get me started will be a political rally then.

Ok Vinnie, SoapBox away.

Jeffrey: I knew it was, and always is, "someone is getting something someone else isn't getting" when family disputes arrise over money or things of value.  Your Nephew/BIL probably don't give a REAL  owl's hoot over it, but cannot stand to see YOU get it. {you said so}Oh, sure, they may like it, want it even, but they can have other means to get one of their own and DON'T get one,  but YOu can't have it either,

Don't want to make you mad, but just wait til your father dies and the will is read! I hope he has an iron-clad Living Revocable Trust with incpacity clause {his incapacity and your Step Mothers to state what should happen/when and who pays what how}. The "revocable part" menas as long as sound mind/body he can change it any which way he wnats. DON'T get an IRREVOCABLE trust as it CANNOT be changed at all. MOH and I may not have much {hatnks to medical bills!}, but as soon as we the necessary pennies to rub together we will set one up.

well, a storm is a comin', pa, so batten dwon them thar hatches and lets us hunker dwon!

Good morning. It's 84° with 74% humidity. The high will be 92°.

Had a doc appointment this morning to get examined and scheduled for gall bladder surgery. It's been scheduled for the 27th of this month as outpatient surgery.

Talked with my brother-in-law yesterday. He keeps on with the 'sentimental attachment' line but it doesn't take a genius to detect the underlying attitude. 'If my son (my nephew) can't have it you can't have it either'. I so feel like telling them both to go take a flying leap! I haven't seen hide nor hair of my nephew since since this flap started. Probably knows that I'm extremely displeased with him. Been looking around for a vehicle but everything in my price range requires tons of maintenance and repairs. Vehicles that're in fair to good cost much more than I can manage or require financing. I can't afford financing in any way, shape or form. I have to be able to get it with a single affordable payment.

Mornin' everyone!

Zoe, can I get a refill for my coffee, please?  Thank you Ma'am.

So far a nice day here in the Finger Lakes.  Currently 75°F outside which will be the high for the day.  I will be heading outside soon to finish mowing the lawn.  I was going to finish up after supper last night, but a nice rain shower came along and postponed those plans.  Want to get it done before the Scout arrives this afternoon to complete the Music Merit Badge.

I need to gather all the equipment, tools, and stuff I will need out at camp tomorrow for the installation of the new speakers.  The extra old power amp that has been sitting in the shed out back for the last ten years is one of the things I will be donating.  Hoping it still works.....

Catch you all later!

 Morning Dinners

Flo, Coffee with extra Salt pleases.

On the Low Sodium seems like a odd problem to me. For years I have been told to much salt is Bad for me. So I cut back some? Whistling Just did a quick Google on Low Sodium and found this.

"Low blood sodium (hyponatremia) occurs when you have an abnormally low amount of sodium in your blood or when you have too much water in your blood. Low blood sodium is common in older adults, especially those who are hospitalized or living in long-term care facilities.

Signs and symptoms of hyponatremia can include altered personality, lethargy and confusion. Severe hyponatremia can cause seizures, coma and even death"

Hope this will be some what easy to manage. Here I thought I was getting ate up in my old age. Maybe it is just the low sodium that has been causing my Confusion and being Lethargic.

 See you all later today.

Jeffrey: good luck with your funds getting a good vehicle. That gives you what, $900/ $1k? I will send you a PM later today or tomorrow.

TO: ANybody who wants to now help the "Jeffrey Vehicle fund" send me a Private Conversation or "PM"!  {for thsoe who don't know how, by clicking on the my screenname to the left, and then on the red "start conversation" in the upper right of the new window and type message then click send}. NOTE: Jeffrey is not asking or begging, I am not exactly asking, just offering to get something started to help out if possible? And  I think we together, for those who want, can help out some, I'd hold a spaghettti supper If I could!

CUDA KEN: Take those salt tablets! do what you were doing mix salt waater and drink as much as you can stand when you feel woozy! WHY? My father spent a week in the hosiptal for "low sodium"! If you are diagnosed with low sodium, add some in, just not too much, let your Doctor direct you. My father is 80 and doesn't work out, or do any of the things you mention that you think drained your sodium. Manufacturers of food have been SLOWLY and Quietly reducing salt content in foods, canned, boxed, frozen, fresh! It is causing some "low sodium problems" like you describe,..just watch your extra salt intake! BIologically our bodies need sodium and potassium for good cell function. I am always low on potassium so I take extra to boost it.

well, all have a wonderfull day!

 Evening Dinners

 Flo, Beer Please! Beer

Jeffery I am so sorry to here what happened. I don't know who I be madder at, your Dad or your Brother inlaw! Sometimes (well most of the time) family suck! Family sometimes is just another way to spell GREEDY.  I hate to guess what will happen when my parnets pass away. I sure cousions will be crawing out of the wood work!

New Health Problem Few weeks ago when I had my blood work done they found a new issue. Seems my Sodium was a little low? Seems a little odd to me? I think it was Sunday before last I felt light head and was really out of it, just thought my blood sugar was out of wack.

This last Sunday it happened again! Had a late customer, and by the time I was done with them my mind was out there again! When I got home I checked my Blood Surgar Level and it was a tad higher than I would like it, but should not make me as loopy as I felt.

This moring I did not feel a lot better. I had not drank coffee for about 3 days, today I did. I add a little salt to the coffee to get rid of the bitter after taste. Odd thing happen, my mind seem to clear up some. Then I remembred the Low Sodium Problem! Hmm

1 Been working in St Charles and one A/C unit is dead, so I am sweating more.

2 Working Out, so I am sweating more.

3 Have been out of Sweetener, so I have not been drinking coffee.

4 Been cutting back on Diet Dew, it has Soddium as well.

So today when I felt just a little out of it. Mixed up a table spoon of salt in a glass of water and felt better? Whistling Dit it twices today and I felt fine! Doctor gave me a presrition for some kind of pill. Well it is a over the counter thing and I will pick it up Tuesday

Work Out Had a pretty fair one tonight. While I hate the slow movments (work out take twices as long) I do feel good afterwards! Now, if only it felt good during the workout I be a happy man! I think it was last Thursday I said I Had a very dissapointing workout and I dropped a bunch of reps in the Bench Press? Well Guess What, I did the math wrong in my head! Whistling I was bench pressing 15 Lb's more than I thought and more than I have had in 10 years! Big Smile It was still a bad work out with such low Rep's but it made me feel better about my self. It really sucks crawing off the weight bench with the bar Resting on the Safty Catch I have made for bench pressing by my self. Rather hav a lifting buddy but don't see that happen to soon.

 See you all Tuesday.

Getting Buff Ken, see you again!

Good Morning!

It has cooled off a little during the night, making me feel a little better. Fir the first time in years, I caught more than 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep!

Jeff - I am sorry to hear about the family fuss the truck is causing. I think it is up to your father to make a clear statement. It is his truck and it is his decision what to do with it. Your BIL and your nephew may not like his decision, but this should not be of your concern. IIRC, both have done very little to support you. I have been through this with my own brother. I won´t go into details, but he and I are not on communcating terms any longer. I hope this gets sorted out pretty quick!

Don´t let those beep (expletive, deleted) pull you down!

Have a good one!

Good evening. 89°, 86% humidity, rain 20%.

Not much happening right now. I'm still too ticked off to be polite company tonight. I managed to get a little from the loan company. Not much, only $400. It increased my monthly payment from $110 to $117. It's gonna have to do. Around here I won't be able to get any vehicle that runs worth a darn.

Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

HI all, never made it to PT, a migraine developed. SO I cancelled and took my script {which means I can't drive anyway}.

Jeffrey:I do of course, have a curse, and so as to not rain onyour parade, i kept my mouth shut. But I had a sneeky suspicion {REALLY A PREMONITION} that there would be trouble over that "family truck". See, I had the "premonition" about it the minute I read the very first sentence about it,{the truck}, but I kept my mouth shut when maybe I should have opened it to prepare you.

You are my "buddy" here, and they mean nothing to me {you family}{whether they do to you or not is up to you I am not related, so I cannot comment there}  and I could see at least one relative figuring you "were getting something good they weren't gettin'" or that "something was given to Jeffrey {AKA RB} And all  I got was nothing." OR that "I should get it just cause I don't wan't Jeffrey to get it".

NOw for thing 1} HAppens in every family no matter how "loving and congenial they are", no matter "how close they are", no matter...you get the idea.

Now for thing 2: Your family and nephew seem to have it in for you for reasons unclear to me,but perhaps to you are clear. I wonder do they think you did something to them before {DOn't answer that, just think on it} or what, but your "kind words" about your nephew {and apparently his mother?} speak volumes as to his character-or at least form you view expressed here.

Thing 3: this is like a death and a will: People will fight over the penny great-mother dropped though the knothole in the kitchen floor board in 1896. Not as it may be worth much{abot a $1 if lucky}, but as they feel they should have it.

So, treat it like a death, and that you didn't get it in the will. Maybe you will now. Your father may see to it now tthat you get it. No matter what it is, they will feel you got it over them. And you father doesn't appear to be much help to you on such matters. He COULD have said "I SOLD it ot Jeffrey, CASE CLOSED". OR  He COULD take your $500, add $500 to it {and maybe another $500 for your loan}for $1000-$1500 and let you buy a better vehicle and let you tell all them you got it for the $500 you had raised by friends here and your loan!

Nope, best to figure out something on your own, I think.

Let's rack our brains for you. Ah, heres an idea...let your father put ad in paper "for sale"..{now how many of them go through that section?} Truck...$6000, OBO. and let YOU be FIRst to call and offer the $500! then it was THEIR CHANCE TO legally buy it too and didn't make it! and to all other callers he says "sold".

Dunno,

Jeffrey, I feel for you, man, I wish I could do more.

~~Got 2 mroe medical bills in the mail today another $548.29 I wasn't counting on!

later,

Afternoon guys

Jeff, I agree with Ray I woudlnt give those tire up either. I would do eaxcatly what you are going to do scrap the van with the tires. We got $250 about 5 years ago for the old tercel.

Not much going on here. I did alot this morning including changing oil on lawnmower, cutting the grass and cleaning the house windows ( outside ) I then went over to my parents place and help them plant a new bush, it looks pretty good.

Started to read the V&O book last night. I also started with the plans on the baseball field im going to make for strat o matic baseball.

I dont know what Im going to use for the infield dirt. I dont know of anybody that makes the red clay color you would see on a major league field. Im planning on going with woodland scenics vinly grass mat for the grass.

Afternoon folks!

Just got home from Rochester.  Now I have to get tools and odds and ends together that will be needed to do the installation out at camp.

Jeffrey, Your right about the van!  Check with a scrapper and see what you can get for scrap for it.  When I needed to get rid of my 2002 Dodge Dakota, I was told by the local place in Geneva they would give me $350 for it.  Your van is bigger and heaver so you should do even better than that.  I think your right in just sending the van with the tires to the scrapper....  I wouldn't give your greedy BIL and Nephew wouldn't the sweat off.......  So to speak if it were me.  Keep you in my thoughts and prayers on this!

I probably should get some lawn mowed while the sun is shining....

Catch you all later!

There's trouble in the family over the truck. My father owns it, his name is on the title but his son-in-law, my brother-in-law, claims a strong sentimental attachment to it as does his son (my nephew). They've started a fight over it and won't allow my father to sell it unless it's to one of them. I've already put out money on it, serviced it and paid for gas. To keep peace in the family my father took it back. I still have the use of it (until they decide they want to borrow it. They both have their own but seem reluctant to use them for heavy work). I'm madder than a wet hornet about it, both at them and at my father. My fathers name is on the title yet they're throwing tantrums about it as if it's theirs. They say they use it a lot. It's sat out in the yard for four years doing nothing. Before they started their complaining yesterday I had told my nephew that I would be selling my van soon. He expressed an interest in the tires but he thinks I just give them to him. I told him that wasn't going to happen. He could have them for $100. Well, considering what went down yesterday I don't care if comes up with $1,000, he isn't getting within a hundred feet of those tires. After the way he screwed me yesterday I'll sell the van for scrap first and let the tires go with it before he gets them. Meanwhile I have to scrape more money together to buy another vehicle. I've decided the vans not worth it. I'm not asking for any more money. Looks like I'm making a trip to the loan office in town. It's going to raise the payments on my loan but it's the only option I have at this point.

Extremely ticked off in Louisiana!

Mornin'.....  er, ah, Afternoon folks!

Chloe just another refill for my cup of dark raost coffee please.

I slept in a bit this morning, and have been busy getting all the information I need to buy some odds and ends for the spoeaker install out at camp on Wednesday.  I'll will be heading to Rochester in a bit to pick up the speaker and b uy the odds and ends.

Looks like a nice sunny day outside here in the Finger lakes.  Currently 75°F and going up to 82° later this afternoon.  Yesterday we got a little over an inch of rain here.  Cohocton a small community south of Canandaigua Lake got nailed with between 3 and 5" of rain (depending where it was measured) and had some roads washed out and other damage.  Farmers are getting worried over the flooding and their crops here in this predominately agricultural area.  Guess the sprinkles we got out at the museum were nothing....

Jeffrey, I have a two step folding stool I use to work on the layout that would be perfect for climbing up to work on the pick'emup truck.  MallWart should carry something like that.

OK...  got to get myself moving!  Later.

Jeff - nice looking truck. Maybe if you took the stirrup step off the passenger side and put it on teh drivers side that would help acess in and out. Watch out when you stand on blocks not exctly safe way to check the engine.

The step on the other side is broke and won't support the weight.

Sir Madog
Jeff - did I tell you I like the truck? It looks like a real truck, not those Rambo-style contraptions they sell nowadays. Btw, what´s that black thing on the hood - a smoke deflector?

Bug deflector. Comes in real handy during the love-bug season. Those things make a mess and it almost takes an act of congress to get them off the windshield.

Afternoon Folks!

We are back from our trip to the beach. It wasn´t worth it - the weather on the coast was as bad as we have it at home. We spent about 10 minutes on the beach and were able to get away from it when a bad thunderstorme rolled in. Most of the time we hung out at a cafe, spending a fortune on coffee and cake, just to cover time. It is still sticky and hot. When we came back, our place was steaming. No end in sight!

Jeremy - anything before 7am would get you in trouble in my neck of the woods, but 9am should be just fine. If that teacher and her brats want to sleep until 11am, they have to put something into their ears. Oh, before I forget to tell - I am not anywhere near those two race tracks you mentioned. Both are between 350 and 450 miles away from my place, that´s about half way through my country.

Mr. B. - shoe lace friendly rolls on office chairs would earn you the Nobel prize!

Jeff - did I tell you I like the truck? It looks like a real truck, not those Rambo-style contraptions they sell nowadays. Btw, what´s that black thing on the hood - a smoke deflector? Nice telescope. If you were in my place, you could enjoy a sky sparkling with stars in winter time.

It´ll be some time before I find the nerve to get back to MRRing. My plans are to build the freight house and then do some scenery, before attacking the hotel building. The hotel is a big project, as I want to model the interior, including furniture.

Have a good time!

Good morning all. Flo could I have a hot cup of coffee , old you say, warming for hours ? Thats fine I like my coffee strong like I like my....Whistling - Oh oops sorry.

Jeremy - FYI many locals have "noise ordinances" you may want to look up on the town/county you live and see what those times are and then pass that onto your neighber - sounds like they could use some advice "it is hard to soar with eagles in the morning when you stay up and hoot all night with the owls"

Garry - still have my email address ? Would love to hear the report. Read a bit online about the event. You were there !

Jeff - nice looking truck. Maybe if you took the stirrup step off the passenger side and put it on teh drivers side that would help acess in and out. Watch out when you stand on blocks not exctly safe way to check the engine.

Ray - I read the article - nice - funny thing Sunday while out and about I found myself scoping out locations for that weed. Yep those bees can be nasty. Gotten into a few loosing battles with the pesky insects. Around here we had a confederte "special forces" ranger who operated behind enemy lines during the battle against Northern aggression Whistling. Once while attacking a supply train the "enemy" return fire couldnt drive Mosbys canon off, but the yellow jacket nest they set up over sure did drive off his cannon !

Jimmy - that stinks, you mean if someone cheats the place you work they take from your pay ? Time to find a new job.

Prayers to those in need, welcome to the new folks. Breaks over, gotta get back to w**k

HI all,

Have PT. and some credit-unioning to do. Putting some money into SAVINGS, that I hope can stay there. Probably not, as one is a pre-pay check MOH gets from the health insurance Ins Company AHEAD of the REAL Doctor's bill! It amounts to about only 20-to sometimes up to -45% of the actual total bill! If that.

Well, best get ready for PT...

9 AM is pretty reasonable.  Loud partying at 2 AM is not reasonable.  When I visit my in-laws, I hate it when the gardening crew shows up at 0700 with leaf blowers.  Of course, when I'm sitting out by the pool at 3 in the afternoon, I still hate it when they show up with leaf blowers.

Warm here already.

I am planning on going out in a few minutes to change the oil in the mower and after that cut the grass. Is 9am too early to cut grass?Stick out tongue I would say not but the lady across the road who is a teacher and whos kids are teenage brats told me she like to sleep into 11am on weekdays in the summer. So would appreciate if I didnt cut grass until afternoon or at night, lol. Thats not going to happen... These are the people that like to scream and hooot and holler at 2am.

Happy Monday morning!  We're in for a few days of "unsettled" weather here in New England, but that's OK.  It won't be hot, and maybe we can get through the week with just fans and no AC.

Gaaaa!  My office chair just grabbed my shoelaces again!  These are no doubt high-priced ergonomic chairs, but why can't they design the wheels so that shoelaces don't get trapped and wound up in them?

Had a couple of nice dinners.  Annie and her boyfriend were here Saturday night, so we had big thick steaks wrapped in bacon.  Sunday was Thai curry soup with shrimp and dumplings.  Yummmm.

Edit:  I know.  Eat hearty or eat healthy, but eat tasty regardless.

Morning all, how are you today? Today consists of working, filling out the registration on my car(yay....), waiting for the fog to clear(Like vanilla ice cream outside!), and working.  Who know what I may work in between then.  Have a great day all.
