Couple workers from the Maintenance Dept. arrive at the RIP track to see why the triple valve on the old Overland coach is sticking to find the 3rd. member of the gang sound asleep on the car....  He will get ribbed many times for this one!

More repair please.

The middle of this scene has livestock (but they won't be live long. LOL)

Does anyone have a dog or cat on their layout. (not real ones of course). ?

How about a dog doing what dogs do. Lucky for him he is not doing it on the Vette behind him.

How about a bear doing what bears do.

Bob

I'm glad it was just for repairs. Otherwise I was thinking the you had taken the "its my railroad and I will run what I want..." thing just a bit too far!

Now, being into critters, can you show us a few pictures of the wee beastie, perhaps on another thread? I know its a Hustler, but it looks like the interior is lit - is that correct?

Dave,

Definitely a Hustler. It has a can motor in base feeding the axles and is DCC. I made the interior with styrene and printed the control panels for the detail. The engineer is standing as I didn't give him a seat? It still has some electrical pickup issues on turnouts, otherwise runs OK. I have several of these in various stages of detailing. Thanks for asking. These are the only pics I have at the moment.

George,

What kind of kit (or is it scratchbuilt?) is the lobster boat? Very nice, I could use one on my harbor scene.

These combines are at an implement dealer on my old now-dismantled layout.

I was looking for something else yesterday and discovered ALL the photos of my old layout were missing from my computer!  I had accidently deleted a big folder with all of them.  Fortunately  was able to restore it before clearing my Recycle bin.

Show me something you ALMOST lost (either the model or the photo...)

   -Bob

The lobster boat is from Bluejacket Shipcrafters in Searsport, ME. The hull is a resin casting - very clean, hardly any cleanup needed. The cabin top and sides, handrails, etc are laser cut styrene. Steering wheel, bait barrel, capstan for the pot hauler, and forward cleat are metal castings. Other  patrs are metal tubing.

The lobster traps are another one of their kits, 10 traps & 12 lobsters in etched brass and 10 cast metal pot bouys. Note they have 3 trap kits in diffrerent scales - get the HO scale one

http://www.bluejacketinc.com/downeast.htm

They also have lobster boats in N scale, as well as a friendship sloop, bass boat, and a schooner in HO scale and barges and towboats in both N and HO scale
