Well, you're in trouble already. Speaking Latin in the Diner is specifically prohibited, especially if you get it wrong. It is mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

GOOD TUESDAY MORNING!!!
Today is Tuesday, April 16th, 2013!!!
I will have the prayer candles lit while I am at home. There are the extra ones for the Boston Bombings, as well as those for Ulrich's father, and for others in need of thoughts and prayers.
ULRICH FOR BUNDESTAG!!!
Ulrich- seriously , I am aware of your goings-on with your parents, as you may remember the FIL was the same for us! BUT, things Ironed out for us, maybe they will for you and your mother...I am surprised that IF I understand correctly and her mind is going {she is losing her mental faculties}, then they SHOULD put her under legal supervision. They do that here for those who are no longer of sound mind!
MAke it a GREAT day!

Prayers to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing
Good Morning, Folks!
Did I actually say "All quiet on the Family Front" yesterday afternoon?
Well, it sure did not stay that way. Later that afternoon, the door bell rang and two policemen stood at my doorstep. My mother really did file charges against me for stealing her car, which isn´hers. Luckily, I was able to explain the situation and present a statement my father had signed. The two were very nice and thanked me for my unrewarding effort of keeping my Mom off the road. But that´s only part one of the ongoing family horror.
Part two is the nursing home calling. My Mom is getting ready to have my dad released from the hospital and have him taken to a hospital near their former domicile. A quick check with the hospital revealed, that my Dad´s condition makes such a move a not advisable one, as he will most likely not survive it. His condition is stable, but bad. He still shows no sign of improvement. The really worrying thing about my Mom´s activity is, that no one can stop her. She is entitled to do that, as long as she is not under legal care. I had a lengthy telephone conference on the issue with my brother, who is a lawyer, and he explained to me, why there is nothing we can do about this. German courts are very reluctant to to put someone under legal care, unless the person applies himself/herself, or a medical doctor. As much as I can understand this reluctance, it does not help us at all. Neither my brother nor I can address the issue at court for a number of reasons, the least one being that it would foul up my intended political career. We can only hope and pray, that the family doctor jumps in in time.
It is a deadlock situation only my parents can resolve, but I am afraid they are no longer able to do that. I am very, very sad about this and it will certainly haunt me all my remaining life.
Other than this, I am drowning in political w*rk. There are a number of meetings coming up in the next few days - each in a different German city and all over the country. I am just glad that a friend of mine (ex GE manager, a real nice guy, married to a Welsh lady who is absolutely charming) can give me a lift each time, as I cannot afford the gas or the train ticket.
Have a good one!
TMarsh Garry- You have to get a picture of this bait shop. I’m starting to think it’s not quite as I envisioned before. IYRC, it was this vision that spawned my gas/pizza/bait station. Actually I know these kinda places are all over down South, but your discussion gave me the thought to do one so….I give you credit such as it is.

Evenin' folks!
Janie, just a decaf please.
I spent most of the day at my son's house helping him clean up the branches from a couple trees he had taken down a couple years ago and never quite got cleaned up... Got to find out about the Horror in Boston at supper. My prayers to all who has been affected by this terrible event! DIL had a physical therapy appointment soon after she got home from work today so I got to drive her over to it. All of 300 yards away as the crow flies, but 3.5 miles by road.
This was her first session so she didn't know how long it would take and I told her I would wait outside in the PiP while she was there. She came right back out and said it was going to be an hour. I drove back to the house and chatted with my son while he was BBQing chicken on the grill for supper. 50 minutes later I drove back over to pick her up. Backed the PiP into a parking spot and turned on some tunes while I was waiting, A young 20 something girl came out of the place and walked to a jeep parked 2 spaces from me. Tried to unlock the door of the Jeep and it wouldn't work... She got out her manual key and unlocked both front doors, then opened the tailgate and pulled out a jump start battery (one of those with the jumper cables on them). I was watching her (not hard on the eyes either...) as she hooked up the jumper and got in her car... Click.... Nothing, she got out of the car and looked more than a bit upset. She asked if I could help her and that she thought the jumper battery was dead.
I went over and checked out the battery and yep, totally discharged. She asked if I could jump start the jeep from the prius. Told her I had 4.4 Kws of battery and that shouldn't be a problem but I don't have my old jumper cables on in it. She put the battery back in the Jeep and produced a pair of jumper cables. This is not the first time she has gone in someplace and left her headlights on... I backed the prius over next to the jeep, and it was then she realized I was driving a plug in! She lit up like a light bulb. I got her Jeep running and we had a nice chat about EVs. About that time my DIL came out. I wasn't in any hurry....
Been printing out flyers for the Handicapped Troop and Pack this evening. Have them half done and that is all I will get done tonight. They need them on Thursday so no hurry. Also been waiting for a couple phone calls from MLK Committee members so we can get a time to meet with the Guidance Dept at the High School to discus the Applicants for this years Scholarships.
[edit] I was going to mention that today is not only Tax Day, but would have been my 47th. wedding anniversary... Lost her 26+ years ago. It was also the wedding anniversary of a good friend of my SILs, but also it appears that today was also a huge celebration of the founder of North Korea.... Hmmmmm???
Catch you all tomorrow. Prayers all around tonight!

Well today sucked, hard to believe what happened in Boston. What is with the world theses days?
PackerSucks to hear about what happened at the Boston Marathon. Not sure what Jeff meant by ants and honey.
Vince's, you stake the SOB that did the bombing out on the ground, pour honey on them and let the ant's have dinner! Jeffery is part Native American so I am sure that is where that came from.

Evening guys
Sucks to hear about what happened at the Boston Marathon. Not sure what Jeff meant by ants and honey...
I got that BN SD40-2 today. It needs a bit more TLC than I though (Probably more than Ken's old one). So far I fixed the fans, removed the busted handrails, striaghtened the horn and antennae, and tried to find a numberboard to stick in it, but got a suprise. I checked the box I got from Jeff (I never dug through all of it, I just went straight for the FP45 with the hex motor to use in Ken's old SD40-2) since it had 2 BB SD40-2s to find a numberboard. I didn't find one (I could salvage the KCS one for it, but I'll wait to see if I can sell it to the local KCS fan.) No luck...
Garry, I did my taxes over a month ago. I haven't gotten my return yet... I was gonna use the money (it's quite a bit) to buy tires, pay down some stuff, and use some on trains.
Vincent
Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.
I finally got the Pennsy FP7 stripped and repainted. I got it back together about 8:20pm. That's five units out of six done. I'm not touching #6. It looks too good. The photo below is what used to be the Pennsy unit. It's distinctive in that the gray paint stops at the front of the cab doors instead of at the rear of the cab doors like the other units. Maybe the shop was running low on gray paint.I didn't get much done layout wise. I passed the time earlier while waiting for the botched paint job to get stripped by tearing apart a laser assembly from an old DVD drive. Boy that thing was well built! It took me nearly an hour to rip it apart. It makes a nice scrap load.Well that's it for today. Time to call it a night. I'll see y'all tomorrow.

saronaterryI know less than nothing about airbrushes. any info is gratefully accepted.
Well Terry, they look to be oldies but goodies so to speak. The Red one is an external mix with a gravity feed as opposed to a siphon feed as in from below. It is also a single action type which means when you press the button, the paint starts to spray. A dual action gun on the other hand is a two motion action as the name implies. You control the amount of air flow by pressing down on the button and the paint flow by pulling backwards on the same button. They are a lot tougher to learn to use but once you get the knack of it they do beautiful work. I compare it to patting your head and rubbing your tummy or flying a chopper.
I have a high end Paasche Dual Action brush which took a lot of practice on paper to get the motions down but I love it for doing landscapes and painting rolling stock.
One of the REALLY big issues with an air brush of any kind is keeping it clean, especially with acrylics because they dry so quickly. The other issue is thinning the paint which needs to somewhat like the consistency of milk.
That's a little information for you Terry. Hope it's useful

Well
MOH got the runa-around with the job interview. One store Manager told MOh to call another store manager who claimed he didn't know what the heck MOH was talking about and was "to busy, as they had "guests" in the store". The "guests" probably are corporate people in form corporate, and as I pointed out to MOH who should know He tensions that arise when bigwigs come around, that the manager was probably busy with that.
Tomorrow MOH will call the other manager and say "I am confused. You told me to contact this person, who didn't know what was going on, do I have something wrong? I am so confused".
I take the Kia in for inspection tomorrow..here's hoping it passes without any repairs due!
I have 3 extra prayer candles lit for the people of the Boston marathon bombing: one for those injured, one for those dead, and one for those who were just there and scared.

howdy gang, I've been a bit busy with train stuff lately. I installed MTL 1015's onto my BN exec. set, should say I body mounted them. as well as installing some MTL's onto my amtrak E units. now if only I could find those MTL's for my exec. units, I'm probably gonna have to order some more. I wonder if there are some thin pre assembled MTL couplers that would fit in the coupler boxes, my E7's have some but they droop terribly.

howmusLOL, Actually I'm not at all type A , I do like to keep busy and hate to just sit around (well maybe just a bit...).
Actually I admire your commitment to your Family and your Community. As for the gardening thing we are at opposite ends of the pole so to speak. You do vegetables I do flowers/shrubs. Oh yes, I love tending to my yard. What with all the fertilizer etc. I use I create a make work project for myself every summer. I generally mow my lawn twice to 3 times a week. Looks like park I'm told right down to the water falls/ponds in the back yard.
Now if we could just get rid of the sn*w and warm up it would be helpful.
