Dr. Pepper and a strawberry yogurt cup with a straw. My mouth is sore from a knuckle sandwich last night.
Apologies to Jeff for my remark about his Frankenstien U25 yesterday. I saw it up close last night and I like it. It runs quiet and smooth. It is the first AThearn drive I have seen with metal truck side frames. It has a new motor and a Bachman decoder but all else looks original. How can something so old run so good?
V8vega: I feel your pain on those internet forms. Many have just enough info to get you in trouble or tie your head in knots. Excellent that you got a good rate. The service I had before I got my setup I now have had a rate guarantee that was not worth the paper is was printed on. It promised the rate would not go up for 2 years. My rate doubled 3 times in first year of service and I was paying more than 4 times what I started out paying. Then they acted all surprised when I dropped them.
Rob: A mud garden is exactly what my mom and dad have for back yard right now. With all the rain we have gotten it is a wonder the house is not washed into the lake.
Todd: Yes - got my just desserts last night. Actually it was a very good chicken dinner.

Dennis, I was doing the same thing with AT$T DSL, finally after about 5 years they got tired of me calling and locked me in at $21/mo for life.
Inch, on the fan; check the blades, make sure all the screws are tight first before you run out and replace it. Those things loosen up just a little and it makes coffee grinder noises. Best wishes for good health for your whole family…
Jeff, next time I’m in Wooster, OH I’ll take pictures of the GP7 sitting down at the elevator for you. It’s a GP7, with an SD40 cab and SD9 low hood nose on the front and a plow off a GP38 on the rear end. Originally it was a GP7 with a high hood; cab controls faced the long end.
Not sure how much I’ll get done this weekend, my coupler order came in so I have to run out to Chardon to pick it up. I was told if there is too much snow leading to the basement to ring the door bell. Tonight ¼”+ of rain followed by 1-3” of snow, unless the storm falls to the south then we will get 6-10”.

tcwright973 Hey! What's all this talk about getting old? I'll be 72 this October, and I don't feel old. Well, except when I try to do anything involving work. Everytime the wife gets out of the car, I thank her for riding "Old Peoples Express." May have to lay off that for awhile though. Yesterday she turned around and said "Listen Buster!" That's usually a good indication storm clouds are gathering.

***Tom, thanks for the chuckles!
Back from the feed store. Beautiful day here so the house is wide open. Now if I only had any energy to do something. Some days all I'm up to is rest. Oh well. Rob
Has Ulrich Checked in?? My puker went down but as you can see, back up. Have sent him another P.M.
Tom- 72 next b.d.. Congrats. This June I'll be 76. Still driving a medical w/c bus. Been to the Nemours Childrens Hosp. in Lake Mary and in Jacksonville.in lasttwo weeks. Those kids break your heart.
Curt- I enjoy seeing your layout. WOW!!!. Do you still run Pennsy consists?
Prayers and blessings for all.

Evening All,
Drinking a cup of Decaf while MOH watches the Tudors. I have to agree with everyone about being worried about Ulrich, it has been a long time since he has posted. My son and I are going to the movies tomorrow in the morning.
Below is a PRR stock certificate that was bought in 1945 and the back shows it being sold in 1951. I found it on Ebay for less than $4 to the door. It is from the period I model so I think it's pretty neat and now is on the train room wall.
Ulrich- Where are you? We all miss you.
Prayers for all those in need.

Flip- Sorry somehow I missed or skipped over your post. Yep, all motive power is PRR steam or diesel. The only exception is my Dad who has a WM 2-6-6-2 on my layout. He grew up watching that style of loco hauling coal in Western PA.
Yeah I have been wondering about Ulrich also, I sent him a PM 4 or 5 days ago but havent heard back from him. Also has anybody heard from Jerry? I know he said something about maybe having to move but havent seen him back.
Good Evening...
I, too, have been wondering about Ulrich. Hope he is just busy and something did not happen....
Got some of the things done that needed done..but we still have stuff to do tomorrow.... I did, however, get some train time in today as well so I be a happy camper .....

Curt-My LHS owner is a Pennsy devotee also. Has numerous locos-pass. and freight cars and stock certificates, tapes.,heck you name it. Has a large working dcc layout in his place. I think you'd be impressed.
Anyway, our missing Ulrich is more important. Wish we knew someone over there that could go and find out something.
Time for me to startthinking of showering and getting some sack time. Neighbors dog,120 lb.,BIG VOICED shepard kept me awake till 10. Lost an hours sleep. 4:30 gets here early. Prayers for ALL.

Time for me to call it a night. I checked some places where I have my GP30's listed. They seem to be attracting some attention. See y'all tomorrow.
Peach Tea, please.
***Curt, that's a neat find and will look great on your train room wall.
***Barry, that is a fine looking locomotive.

Good Evening,
Bob, I hope you had a great birthday! Not a great day to be out though with the snow and slush. Did your wife have to wheel you out of the buffet?
Galaxy, I know what you mean about drivers and other people seeming to be so much younger. Every day I pick up my wife from the university here and have been doing it for 30 years. Funny thing is the students are getting younger and younger. I think that they are now going directly from elementary school to university. Kids that young just shouldn't be at university.
Ken, you had asked about the Con Cor passenger car. It is one of those newer heavyweights that they brought out last year. The detail is good, but they certainly aren't worth the msp of $70. I paid $45 at Kleins and that seemed high.
Well all the track in now down on the N scale layout and I hope to start wiring the buss to the feeders on Sunday. I didn't solder the track joints but I have 12 feeders which should be enough considering the layout is on a door.
Hope Ulrich is ok and it is just a computer problem.
Jeremy, you asked about Jerry. He is often on an N scale board I read and I think he is doing ok.He seems to be busy building his new layout. I guess he got tired of the diner. I miss his posts too.
Well time for bed. Likely another not busy day at work tomorrow but I'm not complaining as long as the pay cheques keep coming. They are paying me for my knowledge and experience. That is my story and I'm sticking to it.

Evening Folks!
Flo Beer Please.
Balloons, I Hate Balloons! Well, it seems the company is on a balloon kick, they seem to think balloons make people want to buy tires! Only thing a inflated balloon ever made me want to buy was a BALLOON! While I can say how many I inflated and tied up it had to be close to 60. My fingers hurt from tying the knots in them.
Charlie $70.00 for a Con Cor car? OK, you paid $45.00. My Con Cor cars cost me around $12.00 each and it was not that long ago. But then again, mine have no seats in them expect in the dome of the dome cars.
February 24th Anyone want to take a shoot why that day is sort of special to me? This one will be the 56th I have seen.
See you later.

OK, I have got the top.
Flo, open bar till Midnight, then some one needs to buy me around.
Good Evening Crew,
Thought I would just waddle through before hitting the sack.
Didn't know there was a party getting started. Let me be the first this time to wish CUDA KEN, a very Happy Birthday. 56 eh? you are such a sprout. are you shaving yet there young Fella ? You have another 16 to go to catch me, however by the time you do I will still be 16 ahead of you or in the cold, cold ground and not really caring. Belly up to the bar Guys I'm buying a round to celebrate this young fella's B.D. Sure glad JEFF, GALAXY, ROB, CURT, DAVID and others have gone to bed already, this should be a cheap round. LOL. Of course that will be for Bob's birthday as well.
Didn't really plan on this, but tonight one thing led to another and I ended up putting together a couple of kits. Con-Cor 50' Southern Flat (TOFC) with a Texas-Mexican Railway trailer on board, and a BB. 40' flat of BN. and I loaded a couple of Diesel engines on it for a load. Changed out the couplers and did some weathering after painting the decks. It's been awhile since I built a car so it was nice to get that aspect of it again.
Well, this week=end I have three days off, the weather hasn't been too bad but it is getting colder again and they (weather guessers) are saying the three days will have snow flurries, so winter hasn't let go in the great white north yet.
Not much else to relate and I'm fighting a cold as well, so I think I will call it a night and get some rest.
Prayers and blessings to all who stand in need. and a special one for our German buddy, Ulrich where ever you are.

Mornin, an irish coffee, a short stack with sausage please Zoe. Cloudy, mixed precip, and of high 40 then falling thru-out the day, with gusty NW wind to 25, good day to play with trains, but I’ve got all 3 diapers today. Well I’ll atleast have to run trains for the kids some.
I talked to JERRY last month and things were going ok with him n Sally. They’d heard nothing on their move then, the apartment wasn’t ready yet. I need to call’em thou bout the Mattoon swap meet which was moved to next month and see how things are going.
CURT,,,,, my Gr- grandpa always times like these were like a bad hangover. It’ll gets better in time, but it sure makes life rough for a spell.
SEAMONSTER,,,,,, A HAPPY, but late 79’th Birthday to you. Hope ya had a gooden.
KEN,,,,,, HAPPY B-day to you too. Hope ya have a good one
Seems like this is the month for B-days in here, my 59’th was the 11’th [got a trip to my NSLHS] and the 26’th is both my BIL [56] and Earls [2]. The 29’th is my SIL’s. She say’s it’s her 11’th or 12’th birthday, even thou she’s 2 year younger than Mother.
JR,,,, hope you folk have a good racing trip down south.
LEE,,, already tried the screws. It’s been going bad for a year.
On to the good stuff, like I said thing are slowly gettin better. Other than the car is still down and it should be done next week and most any major gotta haves are going again. We’re plannin on getting the ceiling fan next week. Thank the Lord, all this waited until we’d gotten our taxes back or we’d been in bad shape.
I’ve got some time to straighten up my shed some, so I can start building the new vanity for the girls bathroom. I’ve got most the lumber, sink top and faucet already, just needed time.
Also, getting in more MRR time and I got a trip to my NSLHS [B-day], paid off the layaway engines they’d been holding for 4 month. Got an Athern C&EI RS-3 for me and Bachman’s Spencer, off of Thomas, thanks to a little 7 year old train nut gr-daughter and they know it over there. The RS-3 runs great, but Spencer wobbles going down the tracks. Also picked up 3 athern flat cars, a USN and PRR loaded with sheet steel and PRR empty, some Kadee couplers and a couple-3 other little things.
VA Doc visit was the best one in a spell, all the labs were good except my sodium and some else was still low, but better. Bronchitis is improving, but still there, may have to get a little stronger script from him or my civilian doc [an Iraqi vet].
Well best get on ta some chores. Got a B-day for Earl to bake, so Mother can decorate it tonight, then start in on 4 doz cupcakes #1 son needs for a dinner at lodge Sun.
Thoughts n prayers for all those in need n hope ya’ll has a gooden.

Ken!!
J.R. said “Repeat after me: Gee honey i'd love to do the shower but I'm hopeless with those tiles and wood just won't hold up…” JR, have you ever had your wife, after you’ve said something like that, just look at you somewhat blankly, then shake her head, turn around, flip that left hand up and snap the wrist as if to smack you quickly in the face (sometimes she’s kind and only holds up one finger to lessen the blow), then walk away saying something like “mble, mble, wah wah wah, scruffin POW! And you’ll regret it.”? Yah, I thought so.
Lee- I’ll be 50 on the 18th o-March so you’re a weeee bit younger. Wee bit. BUT we’ll say we’re about the same age. Mid group I think.
Inch- WoW! You don’t know whether your comin or goin sounds like. I sure do hope things slow down and calm down for you. Sending healing thoughts and prayers for all, specially Beth. Oh and Happy Late Birthday, hope you “had a goodun”
Ok, I misunderstood Flip last time. I thought he meant he had been getting responses E-mail from Ulrich here lately. Now I am getting a bit concerned.
Latest from the land of marital bliss. Told you about the shelf for her cookbooks right? Well last night I asked her how big she wanted it. She said… “Two shelves, MY eye level, the shelves can be the same size or the bottom tall enough for the books about the size of a magazine and the top shelf only has to be tall enough for those little ones. Oh, and about this long (motions about 24-30 inches). You know, just enough for my cookbooks and any I may get.”
I’m being set up for later on down the road. I see it coming. "....and any I may get later“…HAH! What kinda size is that!
Ya’ll have a Great Day!!!

Nice and dull with periods of snow bits falling on to our'n heads here..high of 36F is expected then turning a little colder....
Ken:
Inch: I'd be wondering where my head is at with the rate things be changing around your end there!!...take care of that Bronchitis...
Todd: Audrey didst do summat like what happened with you....then what I did about the cookbook stitchimication was to go and buy one of those 6 foot tall bookcases you get from places like Ikea...she has yet to fill the thing up....
As to Floor Wars, London ON division, part 3...or whatever...it is now on hold while we consolidate the changes in the bathroom with 'matching things'...that is Audrey's phrase for buying new matching towels and other such sundry items...actually what it means is many side trips to who knows what merry go round we find...it is a puzzle...
Flo, I'll have a coffee for now please...I'll be at the RC ...
Howdy..
Still worried about Ulrich. I have yet to receive a reply from an email I sent. Perhaps, it would help if people sent a note via regular mail. Who has his mailing address?
Bob Seamonster. A late happy b'day to you!
Ken .... Happy B'day!
Inch .... Great to see you posting again! ... Thanks for updates about yourself and Jerry. Tell jerry we would like for him to post here again so we can "have a good one". .Also, I hope Mother's back feels better soon. DId you see my posts a couple weeks back about the bridge collapse here at Land Between the Lakes? We enjoyed your visit here, but now it has been a few summers since then. Feel free to return some day.

The prodigal son is back!
I had to spend the last 8 days in hospital. A short blackout sent me to the floor last week, while I was stepping out of the shower. Unfortunately, the sink was in the way of a straight fall, so I banged my head, breaking the sink and giving me a deep cut that required 8 stitches to mend. Thank goodness i did not notice any of that, as I woke up a day later in the hospital, nicely fixed up. As I could not use my left arm and leg, they kept me under a close watch. The paralysis went away after a couple of days, but I still feel numb and moving around is a little difficult right now. The left hand is still of not much use, but I can type with just one finger, so that´s OK for participating in the forum again.
I am a Leo, being born in August. They say that cats have 9 lives, which B Lion may be able to confirm. The only thing is, I don´t know how many of those 9 lives I have already wasted. All I know is that something has to change in my life real quick - I cannot my guardian angel to work overtime 24/7. I also know that this won´t happen here in Germany, but where to go to, with no money to start a business of my own? Questions, but hardly an answer.
Ken and Bob - a belated to you guys!
Heading back to bed - I cannot stay up much more than half an hour.
I am moving a little slower this morning, Chloe. I will have what Inch is having. I don't have to go anywhere today. Irish coffee, short stack, and German sausage sounds filling. It is my way to celebrate his belated birthday.
Happy belated birthday to Bob.
to Ken.
Johnboy, Sorry I missed your party for Ken last night. He is just a sapling isn't he. Most of my friends that I climb with are in their 30's, and somehow I keep up with them.
Curt, That is a cool stock certificate. I have only shopped on Ebay one time. Where do you start looking for something like that?
Garry, Your colors blend so nicely to your backdrop. That photo just flows. Thanks for sharing.
Later, Sue
Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.
Morning All,
Flo I would love a refill on my coffee please.
Not much planned here today other than going to the movies. This has been a very lazy week with really nothing much needing done. Next week I will be busy with track work. Went to the Dermatologist yesterday. He said the Mole MOH was worried about looked fine but he froze it at my request to make MOH happy and so I would quit hearing about it (the married guys understand) and I go back in March to get a small cyst on my back removed.
I was thinking about Ulrich last night. Is there some way to contact another moderator to check on him? I would think they communicate with each other behind the scenes.
Ken- . Hope you have a great one.
Todd- I really feel your pain buddy.
Inch- Glad your life is getting back to normal and your Bronchitis is better.
Barry- That is a great looking picture.
Garry- Nice photo in WPF. I really like how it looks running fast. Did you do that with camera settings or just ran the train fast and clicked away? (the second would be my way)
Everyone take care.
Happy Birthday Ken! Are you around this weekend at all?
Ulrich, welcome back. Do they think that the temporary paralysis was as a result of whip-lash like trauma from the fall, or are they considering mini-stroke type things? I certainly hope you are able to regain full use of your arm.
Heck, I pop in once in a blue moon and end up at the top. This calls for a celebration. The bar is open for a free-for-all for the next 2 hours!!!

Ulrich- Welcome back. I'm sorry about what happened to you and hope you are on the mend. Do your MD's know what caused the blackout and paralysis? I have to say you had the diners very worried about you.
Sue- I believe I searched under PRR art, but you should be able to do NP (maybe spell out) stock certificates would work for you.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I had a good day. Still got cake and one more present from the wife and visit from son's family on Sunday. The two little grandkids love celebrating anybody's birthday. Didn't get a Seamonster card from my daughter. She just sent an e-card.
CN Charlie: No, my wife didn't have to roll me out of the restaurant. I showed remarkable restraint and didn't go back for seconds. For a change, she was the one leaving food on her plate. Too many choices, but that's why I like a buffet. However, with the potato pancakes the day before, the big breakfast at Denny's and the Chinese buffet, my stomach was threatening to disown me.
Ken: Happy birthday! 56? You're just a spring chicken. That was a long time ago for me. Lemme see what I was doing then. Oh yes, I was in my last year of working. I retired at 57.
Ulrich: Welcome back to the land of the living. There were a lot of people worried about you. That was a pretty nasty scare you had. Yikes! I hope they can find out what caused it and that you don't have a repeat performance. I wonder if it was a mini stroke? You take care of yourself. Maybe you could show Petra how to post a message in case you're laid up again.
