Afternoon All,

I realized I have never posted any pictures of the museum I went to. Be advised I am not a good photographer.

Ulrich- Our economy would improve if the politicians would actually try to do their jobs and quit blaming everyone else but them for our problems.

Take care.

Sir Madog

Voices are getting louder claiming to get us out of the Euro zone and go back to our beloved Deutschmark, but that would have severe detrimental effects on the US $ and the remaining Euro zone countries.

The unified currency idea was a bad one to start with, but the genie has been let out of the bottle. It's going to be very hard to put it back in.

I received two items in the mail today. An Amtrak station and a walking beam oil pump. The station looks to be the same one offered by Walthers. I'll cut it half and modify it a bit so it looks like a loading terminal of some kind. The oil pump is a Faller offering (no longer available at Walthers). It works great and is very quiet. Now to find a place for it.

 Slow day at the dinner?

Flo, I will have a beer please.

Another Job interview Tuesday. Not holding my breath on this one! Had all the keywords in the ad to avoid. Only real reason I am going, is to get out of the house.

 Later, Ken

Time to skedaddle from the shop. Ray - thanks for the pics. If I had to guess i'd say the GP-9 especially if they have more than one, but, as I said they were in the back siding and we were moving and... guess I'm just not very knowledgeable at loco spotting.    J.R.

Evening All,

Sitting here watching NCIS. I got most of the balllasting done today. I have about a 4 ft section of the double mains left to do, I could of finished today but I ran out of Iso Alcohol, so I will finish either Friday or Sunday. I left the oily residue until I am able to do the mains at one time. After that the last thing to do is mainline signals but that will be after Xmas since MOH is giving me the logic boards then. I recieved the roundhouse I ordered today-really quick shipping. Here are a couple of pictures from the layout.

L&N Tim- Can you let me know what you do to fix yor stutter/shimmy or what ever the motion is on your TT.

Everyone have a good night.

Evenin' folks!

Just a decaf Janie.  Oh, I know Barry has the tab, but I already ate too much today and I don't want to think about the blood sugar, so just a decaf for me.

Spent most of the day doing the Financial report for tomorrows MLK Committee meeting.  First one since last June, so i had a lot of stuff to go over, make sure was properly posted and all.  Then, of course, as I checked all the math, the bank Account was something like $8.40 different than my books.  i mention a few words my mommy told me never to say and had to go over every posting and check it against the banks posting.  Found the problem fairly easily.  An interest amount THAT was posted wrong!  Added everything up again and it was now off by 11¢.   So now it took me an hour and a half to find the incorrect data and get everything down to the penny.......  It was a stupid mistake I made 3 months ago!  Duh!

I also picked up the whistle pot sign from the place I had sand blast it.  Now I have to figure out what kind of post would be prototypical to put it on and find one.........  Paint it, dig the hole, buy a bag of concrete, and put it in place.  I [plan to make it so if anyone wants to steal it, they will have to do some major w*rk to get it!  (As in the cops would be here before they get it......Wink  Did some grocery shopping while I was out, and later picked more beans.  Did not get them canned.... Tomorrow will be busy so maybe on Wednesday I'll run the canner.  Looks like I should have a good crop of Winter Squash this year as well.  I can see a lot of very large ones as the vines are no starting to die back.

Even spent 20 minutes i the layout room adding some plaster to the plaster cloth I put down yesterday.

Here is a different color scheme the FGLK runs:

Hope you all have a great night!

Chamomile tea, please.

Cool, more layout pics posted. We really enjoy seeing others progress. Helps keep our interest up while working on other priorities.

Dug out the last of the postholes today. Can now remove the posthole digger and put on the hay fork. Tomorrow I'll pull more old posts for planting in the new holes. Progress!!!

Also tomorrow, it's time to pull the truck starter. Still have not found the tester, so going to cross my fingers it's the starter.

Have a good night all.

Good Morning!! Coffee. Thanks. No millions of $$ for me either.

Showers likely, mainly before 7am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. Did rain some last night though I haven’t been out to look at the gage yet.

This is getting ridiculous. For the last two days I’ve been up at 4 am. Today I was up at 0210. Up and wide awake. Don’t know why either. I haven’t been napping nor going to bed before ten even. I’m tired when I go to bed….who knows. I’ve had this before but maybe just once ever couple months.

Anyway, today I have the trucks to put away. Or rather the groceries from the trucks. Then I have to see about getting a tailpipe hanger for my truck to replace the wireWhistling. I noticed yesterday the hanger rusted through. Wired it up so’s to take the stress off the next hanger up. Then….w**k I guess. Hopefully the folks that looked at Mom’s house and “really liked it” (Sighagain) and “went home to work some figures” (Sighagain) will call back with an offer I won’t refuse. I’m thinking about calling the realtor and going back to the ones who offered an amount and the Realtor said they were just wanting to steal it because it was in an Estate and often they take the first bid regardless just to clear the estate. Well that’s all fine and dandy to someone who will see pure profit from the sale. And more profit from each dollar higher, but I’m the one paying for the utilities, taxes, insurance and any other expenses that happen. Ain’t worth it to me.

Well I killed an hour here so guess I’ll mosey on down the tracks and see what else there is to do at this unseemly hour. ( I know “unseemly” doesn’t exactly fit, but it sounded goodThumbs Up.)

Ya’ll have a Great Day!!!

It COULD be the equinox, Todd. Around all the 4 equinoxes during the year I get that way- sleep interrupted that is! For 2 weeks prior {actually since the flood messed up my sleep this time with no machines to keep me breathing} and 2 weeks after an equinox, I get restless if any sleep at all. I went to be at 10pm last night,{late for us} and woke up at 11:30 the first tiem for an hour, then again at 2:30 AM then again at 3:45, now up from 5 am and watched Boston Legal onthe tv!

I got one of theose stupid "don't buy gas" emails. It says NOT to buy gas from a certain major conglomerate of 2 gas companies....so I don;t start a flame war on THAT company I will leave you to figure out which one it is.... It says DO NOT BUY at ALL for the rest of the year from these 2 companies {who are rolled into one}!!! They think if one person sends to 30 people and 10 people sends to 30 people and ten people send to 30 people...eventually we will have 300 million people in the USA getting the message in just 8 days! {forgetting obviously that SOME of the 300 million people in this country are children who could care less}...and then the large oil company will go bankrupt! NAH...It will only enrich other companies IF it works!

well, Since I won't get any riches from the Ambassador and HIS bank...I shall have to wait for my check to come...tomorrow. Then pay bills. The Car insurance is due and fortuantely I have 3/4 of the money saved...I always do that just in case...it is really cheap for us now that we switched companies and stayed the same cost for the next 6 months!!! AMazing!!! AMybe I am in good hands...after all...

WEll, I will let you all get on with your day without further ado form me...

have a great one

Good Morning All,

I passed, my house tested lead free last week.

Todd, I use the fancy filters, but I change them once a month.  For me with pets it saves on the service calls and cuts down on the pollen.  My house had a downdraft furnace originally so the cold air returns can be opened up and cleaned easily, the grates are 3 feet long and 10” high and suck everything in that the vacuum cleaner misses.

Galaxy & Barry, happy belated birthday!

Saturday I drove up to Macomb TWP, MI to visit with the kids, had a good time.

 Morning All!

 Flo, big cup of coffee!

Todd I was up early as well, up at 4:45 and on line at 5:00 AM.  One time I got in a real strange sleep cycle. Got up at 1:00 AM, started to drink beer at noon and went to bed at 3:00 PM. Hope that never happens again.

Job Interview Going to call them today and she what it is about before I go for the interview. Want to make sure it is a real job, not selling perfume door to door or that kind of silly stuff. Add said they where hiring 15 people, sounds like they had 15 people quit.

Curt First thank you for post the RR Museum! Yes Was the steamer a Class A?

Pretty sure this is one here in our Museum.

Second, your layout is really starting to look great! Hope to see some more pictures soon!

Rob Before you pull the starter (unless it is real easy) I would try a different battery first. Or did you and I missed you posting about what happened?

Ray Boy I understand about tracking down small math mistakes! I use to audit sales reports for my stores. One manger in per-tickler was real bad about making . 1 and 2 cent mistakes.(darn, I forgot how to make the cent symbol)

Well, guess I am out of things to talk about.

Will drop back for the lunch special, all the Spam you can eat! Dinner

Good morning. It's 74° and mostly cloudy. The high will be 94° and it will be partly cloudy with a 20% chance of thunderstorms.

This is not a good day for me. Woke up this morning with a blood sugar level of 47. Mixed up a glass of raspberry lemonade with 14 grams of sugar and had a good drink. Level is now at 74. Not optimum but a lot better than it was. I also have a cold chill. I just can't get warm. I have the heater on to warm it up a bit in here. It's hard to type. I've already made more mistakes than a first grade spelling class. No modeling today unless I can stop shivering.
