And while we're at it, my oldest operating locomotive, a 1964 Akane Yellowstone:

And this shot was taking a couple of weeks ago. My has it changed!!!

I know Wicked Wanda's is out there but no one admits being there but me so...........

Here's a picture of  what use to be my office space or my hole in the wall as I liked to call it in an unfinished corner of our basement.

Here it is after the layout top is ready for track

We've done the alphabet, colors and much more. Maybe we could show more layout construction but it is your pleasure.

Show me the beginnings of your layout.

It looks like time is up for the belt-driven machinery.

How about a Conrail SD 80 MAC  OR some other locomotive that was bought by 3 or less railroads.

I'm sorry that I havn't been contributing any photos, but I hope to have my N scale layout up and running soon, so I can become more active here.

Note: Flying Yankee is a B&M train name, not to be confused with the trainset nicknamed Flying Yankee (it's first assignment)

Jarrell, I suspect, like all threads, this thread and its viewers grow tired.  You run out of ideas, too tiring to keep running up and down to the layout with camera in hand, viewers of the thread drop off, etc., etc., etc.

I would expect this thread to keep running for awhile and then just die a natural death.  It happens!

Rich

Maybe they have just run out of photos, and are down on the layout taking a few dozen more...Smile, Wink & Grin

Rich, Ken, the thread has lasted a LOT longer than I thought it would.  And it's true that on weekends it's much slower around the forum.

Imagine that!!  People actually have lives to live!

Ken says Show me something from the Alaska Railroad!

From Sat morning until Sunday morning there were 5 or 6 actual replies to a request.  That's a little sad. Sat a week ago there were roughly 15 or 16, a drop of about 65%.  A week ago requests were made for things like 'piles of stone', 'livestock', 'something with the letter X in it' and 'fallen flags', all great requests and things most guys would have on their layout, or at least a high probability.

Perhaps there were simply less members playing.  Maybe it was something else?   Wink

The last request was  Show me a Trailer on a flat car (piggy back)

which there should be 10,000 at least out there!

Jarrell

Here are some piggybacks. The flat car was made from an old Quality Craft wood kit.

Please show an Alco switcher.

Jarrell ... Thanks for watching over this thread. I have held off on posting several times while hoping to see other people post who have not yet done so. I am glad to see some of that, and I hope some others will particpate.
