Good Evening,

TIM (Fireman 216): Welcome Brother! I've been meaning to say "hello" and things, just haven't quite gotten to it. I'm a vol. firefighter also, former EMT/Paramedic. Good to have another Dragon Slayer in the Diner! Thumbs Up Ladies? Put his pie on my tab.

Well, I've gotten a little more w**k done for THAT, she'll be happy with the pics. I'm gonna float "Clippers neuter Wildcats" by her, see what happensEvil. Kit sent her a link to where she can download updates to Photoshop so it'll take care of her accidental RAW files. Kit thinks THAT should've done some research before making Mr. Publisher buy the camera, like maybe seeing if the company software can handle it or not... It should be interesting at the staff meeting tomorrow, we'll see if THAT has her tail between her legs, ears flat, deep remorse...Whistling

Did I hear right? A LHS discovered guys actually WANT to build kits, scratchbuild, and kitbash??? WOW. Maybe I need to relocate. I have no problem taking the knife and saw to a Blue Box hopper. I'll be darned if I'll do that to a $50 Tangent hopper, which is the same thing only finer detail. There are a lot of "how to" articles I've clipped over the years, and most of them involve hacking up one kit, grabbing parts from another, and building something just a little different from what most others have on their layouts. I really like the idea. I guess that kinda flows into a nearby conversation on "what do you miss in MR?" Well...I miss all the great kitbash articles, though it seems I have more from RMC in my files.

Where oh where is this wonderful LHS catering to guys (and gals, sorry Sue) who like to BUILD things?????

Geesh, I might be headed into Old F**t territory, "I remember when..." hobby shops had row upon row of kits: Athearn, MDC/Roundhouse, Train Miniatures of Illinois (anybody remember them?), Front Range/McKean, and Walthers to name but a few. RTR was AHM and Tyco.

I'm gonna go over to the RC and sulk... ladies? a bucket of coffee please 'n thank you...

Evenin' folks!

Flo, nothing for me tonight I have a blood draw tomorrow.  Supposed to be next Tuesday, but I called and pleaded that my being bad with all the candy around and birthdays to be celebrated that it was just plain mean to have me wait til Tuesday and have certain things like my sugar screwed up on the tests.....  Well I could have a nice glass of pure Seneca Lake water with touch of agricultural runoff and just a hint of Ontario County Landfill leachate......   I'll go sit at the Rivet Counter for a few minutes.

Hey there Tim!  Sign - Welcome to the diner.  Sit a spell and have desert on me.  Liverpool, huh?  That's just a hop and a skip down the Thruway from me here in Geneva.  Tell me are you an NMRA Member as well.  The Central NY division is a very friendly and helpful group with some awesome modelers and helpful people in it.  I spent Saturday a couple weeks ago riding on a train with a bunch of those guys.  I am Superintendent of the division just West of you.  Are you going to the Syracuse Show?  (Think I already know the answer...... Whistling)  I'll be there on Saturday.

Have any of you folks in here purchased decals from Rail Graphics?  I am looking for car sets for the Tichy flat cars and Rail Graphics appears to have what I am looking for.

Hope everyone has a great evening!  Prayers for those in need.....

Evening all. Chloe, I'll take a RBF and a bacon cheeseburger, thanks!

I'm so physced for tomorrow!!!! We've got the State Driver's Permit Test (aka NJDM Test)!!!!!!!!! I'm feeling really good about this, but I'm going to overstudy anway. I got a 100 on the practice quiz on Tuesday, so hopefully that'll be a good omen.

If I pass (all I need is an 80), then when I turn 16 in June, all I have to do is my 6 hours of practice then I get my permit Big Smile

I'll be at the RC studying. Wish me luck!!!

Evening everyone...New diner here. My name is Tim Warren. I live in Liverpool N.Y just outside of Syracuse. I have been married 10 years and have a beautiful daughter. I work as a Bio-Med Technician in Dialysis for St. Joes Hospital.I also am a Firefighter\EMT volunteer in Liverpool. My passion for trains started like most usual stories as a child with the Lionel set. I will not bore you all the details. I have has quite a few layouts over the years in all scales. My current project is a "U" shaped 12x14 HO layout set in the typical transition era. My passion is the NYC. I am also partial to Erie Lackawanna and the Pennsy. My weakness is the Southern Pacific which I secretly collect. My layout is set in autumn which I truly love as I think it makes the scenery "pop". Pictures will follow soon I promise. I belong to two clubs.. www.syracusemodelrr.org and www.cnymod.com . Thats me in a short nutshell...anymore questions just ask me!!!..I will take a nice big slice of apple pie please...Tim

A true friend will not bail you out of jail...he will be sitting next to you saying "that was friggin awesome dude!" Tim...Modeling the NYC...is there any other?

Good evening-

Got my buys from the FLHS today!! HeeheeheeMischief He ended finding 4 of the ARNOLD S-2's and found some replacement gears for them as well ---sold the lot for $20!! Yes, I'm fully aware of their ---ahem---issues. We tested a couple of them on his layout there and seemed to find no issues. If there be issues I'll use them still--can always remoter/regear etc---Smile,Wink, & Grin Then the 40' boxcars---unmarked "OEM" boxes, supected that there were early Kadee N's but---(?)---about 60 in a lot for $30!! Smile,Wink, & GrinPirate Plus a bunch of ATLAS houses in kit for $30---he is in the process of a major clean up and ENLARGEMENT of his store he told me----and no, he ain't going RTR--he wants to go other way---seems he fell over a huge 'underground' market of kitbash scratchers out here---Whistling

We did not see an iota of sun---even though the weatherguessers kept saying there was going to be sunny periods---as the afternoon wore on the forecaster kept getting more desperate soundingWhistling Almost like he was muttering---"let me be right just once this week? Please?"Sigh---

Anyway---gonna get these organized into some semblence of order in my disordered room---heeheeheeSmile,Wink, & Grin

Chloe, I'll have a Strawberry Pie and a RBF please---I'll be over at the RCSmile,Wink, & Grin

I've learned that I hate painting bright colors.  They're never opaque enough (gray primer oops!) and I don't know if its just the particular bottle of spray paint I have but its almost always mottled.  And if I give it more than one coat or try to just paint it more, I wind up flooding the surface.

I suspect its the bottle because it seems to spit every once in a while, even after I tried to clean it.  I guess I should learn to airbrush so I have more flexibility than whatever reds come in spraycans.  The red I have is much brighter than I'd like, although I have a hard time telling just how bright CP-like red would be in person on a factory clean unit.

Good afternoon/evening....

Chloe? Double cheeseburger basket, bucket of coffee please 'n thank you...yep, at the RC.

As always, some interesting stuff here in the Diner...

TODD: Your rant on "newbies" was admired, and applauded. In looking through the past year of the paper for contest entries, I found a letter to the editor rant opposing leaf burning (it smells, it makes people sick, it's not good for the environment, polar bears are going to drown because of it...). There as a second letter, same edition, that also reeked of nanny-state, "I know what's good for you, you don't" intrusion.... And I had to have a rant of my own. Poor Mr. Rerun, he's used to it, but he still just shook his furry head, said "well, there he goes again..." and headed back downstairs. Oh yeah, I have no doubt you are fully abiding by the intercontinental ballistic airbrush cap treaty... and thus have zero expectations to see any launching my way from the South East. I must admit though, I still have no earthly idea where mine has ended up.... Perhaps it was swiped by a rogue modeler, heck-bent on air brush cap superiority???

I don't think we've seen the last of this...

Speaking of rants:

ULRICH: I don't think I could limit myself to one rant day/year... you know how the German temper is...maybe not comparable to an Indian temper, 'eh JEFF? But, THAT said, I'd hate to bottle it up and then go launch an annual blitzkrieg...Whistling Glad the wheels are turning again for you. Are you getting any kind of a break on rent by putting in the flooring, etc.???

JIM: Loving Wife was w**king by flashlight, because she was on absolute deadline. She was on the last illustration, when the power went. Fortunately, she was able to finish it, we got power back a few hours later so she was able to scan it; and the stuff was mailed-out to the publisher the next morning. And, I didn't really "sneak" anything by THAT editor, I think she quickly realized 700-800 words wouldn't be enough for the topic, to do it any justice and be fair to all five candidates.

Speaking of THAT editor, she finally talked Mr. Publisher into buying her a new camera: Nikon D-300. She was fiddling with it, and set it to RAW format. Mr. Publisher shot a crucial high school volleyball game with it...now, they can't retrieve/open/do anything with the pictures. OOPS. So, THAT asks me for help/advise. I have no idea, all I know about RAW is THAT told me to "never use it." Maybe that's why.... Anyhoo, so, I set THAT up with Loving Wife, AKA: "The Graphics Goddess." I think Kit bailed-out THAT editor. Meanwhile, I'm w**king on editing/processing photos I shot last night from the start of the post-season for high school football. I also have to finish two photo features (captions and a paragraph or two of text...no sweat), and write up a game report. Since it was the Clippers vs. the Wildcats...and the Clippers won 38-3, should I say they "clipped" the 'Cats? Or... "The Clippers neutured the Wildcats with a 38-3 win in the opening round of the post season..."??? I like neutured, THAT editor might not.

I think I just made up my mind...Mischief

Greetings to the rest, gotta get back to w**k....

Sawyer:  Congrats on the soccer game.  No go out and KILL, my friend!   Our soccer team here at Jesuit is wiping up the competition like crazy--my co-Conductor is coach of the JV team and they are taking absolutely No Prisoners, LOL!  I really admire you--that game is absolutely non-stop!

thank you Tom! hehe, I'm gonna be PUMPED up for the game tonight. If we win, it'll be my first championship in the playoffs with a team at Citizen's Park. And we're playing a team we beat 5-0 the last time we played them (they beat the #1 seed last night!)

I ain't gonna play JV soccer for my high school though. Had a ton of homework last night and didn't really have a lot of time left between the game and my homework. and I don't have a study hall. I don't want to have that AFTER soccer practice this winter, so I ain't gonna play. Church league basketball starts Sunday though (first practice), and I'll be running on the track at an elementary school within biking distance of my house. We also have our weight machine working, finally. So I'll be staying in shape, that's for sure.

The visit to the docs office went well. The old wound on the bottom of my foot is almost healed up. The doc estimates another two or three weeks for it. The lower incision on the side of the foot is healing well. He estimates another three to four weeks for it and as for the upper incision from the most recent surgery, he estimates about two months. He did a new culture swab of the from upper incision and has sent it off to the lab. We're hoping it comes back clean.

Here's a photo I took today of my MKT tank car on the east side of the layout.

For glue I highly reccomend Microscale Krystal klear (yes that's how you spell it) it dries clear and hard.  If you look at the pictures of my people on the streets in my albums I put a drop of this glue up to their knees when I place them.

I haven't tried duluting poly scale paint with ISO Alchohal yet, but I hear it's a great rust wash color.

Hi, whew .. coffee~  I can't believe I've slept in .. its been awhile.  Although I can't imagine when I ever slept in so late.. and slept so good.  I even went to bed with a 'day long' backache.  Sweet is the sleep to the working man? .. as the saying goes.  Supposed to get up to the low 70's today, and plenty of sunshine.   I want you peeps to know, here in socal, rain is special.  We never get it.  And if and when we do, people call into work 'Sick'.  Heck no~ why spend it indoors... "Lets go play in the rain!"  So as I awake here,  I see what I left from.. last night.  ah yes.. no wonder I just wanted to go to sleep last night.  100_0254.jpg picture by Blazzin55

Ok.. here it is~  Today's dilemma.  A 'Covered Glass Window Pane Station Area'  Well, I'm sure glad I'm around friends here~  I'm a noob. And to be honest, I haven't the foggiest of what to do next I've read some posts here concerning checking for all the parts and washing them.  But from there.. I'd sure like to here the full spectrum of choices.

 1.  Types of glues,  and the dangers and pitfalls using them.   As well,as using an applicator as well.

2.  Types of paints. Enamel verses Acrylics.  I do have a new/good airbrush and a compressor.  I've never used one before~ but see no real problems.

3.  Is there as easier way, that is just as good?  Such as the use of "Floquil' pens.  Gunmetal color.. or some other colors combined to give the appeal of an older model with faint spots of rust?  I do know this.. I am seeking an easier way, if for no other reasons.. I do not see to well.  20 years ago would have been different.  Although I can see myself 'masking' off the window panes, and hitting them with a flowquil pen pretty easy.  The colors are limited. And there is a roof there .. that could represent maybe a copper roof... maybe some green? with rust?  I'm open for ideas.  Thanks all.  "hmm.. coffee good to the last drop."

Good Morining!

Not often I'm in here in the morning but I've been off work the past couple of days as I have some sort of flu bug, but not H1N1 thankfully. Feeling better today so will be back 'at mill' tomorrow.

PC, I can relate to your problem at work. I've been stabbed in the back so many times I now wear a kevlar vest at work. I look after the credit department and I can always rely on the sales guys to  blame me whenever sales are down, which is mostly always. Usually they go to the President and say I'm not extending enough credit or not approving an account they want but at least I have a really good boss who does support me. I rely on logic and facts and invariably I can shoot down whatever they say but still it doesn't make for a great work experience. Hang in there, facts always trump heresay.

Someone commented on the poor mics on cameras and may I second that. We had an an old Sony TR5 which was the first 8mm camera but it did die on us so we bought a new one in '04 which we took on our trip to Africa a few years ago. While the video is great the sound is crap compared to the old TR5. When we were stopped filming some elephants there was a gentle breeze blowing but it sounds like a hurricane so there is no wind noise suppression that there was on the old TR5. So much for 'new is better'.

I did feel good enough yesterday to run trains for a while. I put together a little freight pulled by my Consolidation. I then watched a DVD I got recently. It's Canadian Steam 1958 put out by Herron Video. I think it is really good production that was shot largely in southern Ontario and it does have sound recorded with the film. There are lots of shots of CN Northerns which I guess shouldn't be a surprise as CN had more of them than any other road in North America. There are also some great shots of CN Hudsons which were rare on that road as they only had 5. Beautiful though with 80" drivers and semi-streamlined all decked out in green.   The action is largely in Stratford and London so Barry could relate to those spots, not to mention Palmerston, Komoka and Hyde Park.

Have a good day everyone.

Mornin' everyone!

Flo a raisin bran muffin and a cup of dark roast in a FGLK cup if you please.  I'll be at the back booth keeping warm.

Currently 49°F and cloudy here in the Finger Lakes.  The high will be around 54°F later this afternoon.  I have a few outside odds and ends left to do and since it isn't raining, may get them done today.

Ulrich, it would never w**k....Whistling  One day of fun and 364 days of not being able to gripe...?  Never work!

As for the leaf burning issue, I used to love the smell of leaves burning out in the country as a boy.....  Been banned in all towns and villages around here for some time.  A few people still burn their leaves out in the country.  Here in Geneva leaves are raked to near the curb, the city comes by in November with trucks and loader and their huge vacuum truck and take them to an area where they are piled all Winter.  In the Spring they sell them to local farmers (many Mennonites) who spread them on their fields and plow them under.  Good for the soil, and good for the reduction of fire calls here in town.....Wink

Thanks for the comments on the flat cars. I am doing the process slightly different from the way Tichy recommends.  Seems to have w**ked well.  I'll hopefully be finishing the basic cars today and will bore you with more photos........

Good morning.  Another gloomy day.  No rain, but gloomy.

Mostly sat around yesterday, and maybe worked on the layout about 30 minutes.

Jim......I might have to look into those trees.  Kinda get a mixture going.

Ray....Love the shot!!!  I have a yard in progress, but don't know what to do with the space between the main line, and the siding.  You picture gives me some ideas.

Good Morning

Got the ol' fog with attached PITA showers just finished for us--now we can get some sunshine every so often today!Smile,Wink, & Grin

Got a few things to pick up at LHS today---another two S-2's(guy found he still had a couple of ARNOLD--yes split gear issue---in his attic storage)---getting those for $10 as well as about 15 more 40' boxcars---which will be converted for grain service----Mischief

Another one for the 'transplants from H---ll" file: A friend of ours who owns a 'century farm' north of us had someone buy a new home just down the road from them. They are on a little used concession road---only 3 farms on this one--and these fine people thought that they could suggest that this road needs paved---Yes, Virginia, they still think this is a good idea----been going after this "pave this road" thing for about a year now. Funny thing is---the closest village to them is---oh----about 15 minutes East of them---Whistling Also, open burns are extremely bad for peoples health---therefore we need these open burns banned---Grumpy

Chloe, I'll have a coffee and a toast/jam please----I'll sit at the RC for nowSmile,Wink, & Grin

Good Morning All,

50 and dry this morning if still overcast. I'll have a regular and an English muffin please Zoe. A bit of tinklering on the house last evening but an early night as I was just exhausted. No puter cables in the den yet so no diner in the evening yet.

Ulrich - hang in there. Sign on latrine door near disbursing office in Japan: "The job is not finished until the paperwork is done."  Works on many levels and still makes me chuckle. Imagine being in the Navy stationes on an Army base and being attached to a Marine section. Think payday got confusing ?

PC - sounds like someone was playing the blame game, no? Might want to wear your flak jacket for a bit until things settle down. Just remember - no good deed goes unpunished.

Lee - I thought the horns and things slapping in the wind were part of the ambiance that made the waterfront unique? I suppose they'd all have gone mad over single cylinder fishing boats, fog horns and winches working at 6am, eh? Then there were the people who built on a rural hill overlooking a valley and backed up down wind of a large pig farm. Of course they wanted the pig farm shut down the first summer  weekend they came up to stay. Or the folks who built in the flight path of the local airport and......

With those thoughts it's time to get back to it in the shop. Catch ya later.  J.R.

 Lunchtime,

Chloe, make that a hamburger and fries for me, thank you!

Finally, I got all the paperw*rk to rent the flat done and the contract is signed. Now I can start to untangle the red tape for the move ... Sad

40 years ago, when Armstrong stepped on the moon, he saw a little shack with a sign "Office for Lunar Affairs", so he radioed to Houston "Dang, the Germans were here before us!" - Big Smile

The next weeks will be quite busy for me - a friend of mine will help me to put new flooring into the apartment and I have also to put up a new kitchen for Petra to make some more strudel for Elliot´s Diner.  My parents and my brother act as sponsors ... Thumbs Up.

It is again one step done...

You al have a good day!

 Good morning.

It's 72 and cloudy. The high will be around 80 and there's a chance of thunderstorms.

Nothing exciting going on today. I have an appointment this morning with the foot doc then I have to go get some prescriptions refilled. Other than that it'll be an average day at home watching some movies while the rain falls. I should be able to get some net surfing between storms.

Good morning all,

Fireman216, welcome to the diner!

Todd, everywhere I’ve been stationed people complained about the noise from the Coast Guard Station in the morning
; everything bothered them from testing the horns right down to the tapping noise the halyard clips made on the flag pole at night.  Our stance was we built this station in 1924 or one unit I was at was built in 1895, you were the one that built your $3.5M house next to us in 1990, live with it or move.

Tom, I find myself listening more to my iPOD on long trips, I get bombarded with advertisements every day, mater of fact I had to stop using my home phone because I would get 31 telemarketers calling me every day!  Jerry, did you ever get your chair replaced or repaired?

Barry has poor kittens slaving away on his layout art work I see!  Can I borrow them?  I have a few things to do on the layout where I left all the tools and materials out and my dog and 2 cats haven’t lifted a paw to help, maybe Lady and Sweetpea can show them how to over come the lack of opposable thumbs!

Next weekend I have to empty my grandmothers apartment as we have already moved her into a nursing home, any advice?

Chuck, good luck on the new layout and keeping the house clean, LOL.

So, Phillip - after explaining that 'new math' to your boss, you're still w**king there?Confused Your boss must be more flexible about feedback than ours at my office...(Oops, did I just say that out loud?)

See, one of the things he "found out" (and would have known for nearly a decade now if he'd read my reports) was that my department is making nearly twice the gross company profit that is his expectation.  He was expecting a straight 1.5 markup only (he set that precident), whereas I've been making a 2.0 markup + any shipping (straight pass thru, no markup, but would have been a loss if I'd done it his way) + tech time (which I run at a 33.3% gross company profit) + truck charges (again, at 33.3% gross company profit), all the while, growing the department to four times it's original size (employee-wise) and, thanks to my team, growing our customer base over 2000% (counting only service and equipment customers, not line service customers which are the sales departments crowning glory) in the last eight years.  I'm not real worried about my position.  I'm not saying all this to toot my own horn or anything.  I'm just trying to work as if I'm working for the Lord, like the Good Book says, ya know?

Evening all from Sunny/Breezy/Cold/Cal.

Temp's in the '60's all day with north wind, my chorus guys were not quite as crazed as yesterday, but they still sang well.   Had them working A-Cappella all day just for kicks (which means the only piano playing I did was to give them their pitches), and they kept giving me Baleful Looks, but they sounded pretty darned good.  In fact, a couple of passages they sang were absolutely spectacular.  I was a Very Happy Camper.

Of course, the Big News out here is that a repair on the San Francisco Bay Bridge failed this morning (it's been up for about a week), whacked a couple of cars, the bridge, which is the MAJOR highway artery between almost anywhere and San Francisco is closed, commuters are going nuts, BART, the local transit line is packed with extra trains, and everyone is wondering how CALTRANS could have screwed up so badly on a section of the bridge that has JUST BEEN BUILT!    Ah, progress!   Plus, there's a non-ending wind blowing down from the north through the Bay, so repair is not only going to be slow, but dangerous.

Don't you wish you lived here?  Whistling

Ray:  Holy cow, I just get used to that spectacular scenery of yours, and you go and attack those flat cars, LOL!   That's beautiful.  Now I've got ANOTHER project to look forward to, in case I didn't have enough already.  I love that decking!

Phil:  I have come to the conclusion that most Bosses are required to go to Stupid School and fall asleep during the lectures.  Unless they teach at a Jesuit HIgh School and are under a HIgher Power, LOL!  Keep the Faith, friend.  He just might see the dawn break around there.  Let's hope.

Well, Mom's still here, so is my sister.  They leave Friday.  My sister's radiation treatments are working really well--her eyes and her thyroid have improved immensely.  She's really 'up' about the results of the treatments so far.  Mom's still doing her 'circular' conversations, but at least she's happy now that the World Series has started.  Good God, talk about LATE!  At this rate, we'll be watching the thing through Thanksgiving!

Got into the new little loco today.  Thought it was running rough due to no lube.  Gearbox is just fine.  Turns out that the tubing between motor and gearbox needed adjusting.  Did a little tweak, now you can hardly hear the little devil when she runs down the tracks.  She's a sweetie.  I'm going to hook her up with my other Moffat Road loco this weekend (a 2-6-6-0) and see how they like each other.  If they do, I'll post some photos in WPF.  But I sure like my new 2-8-2.  She makes me all warm and fuzzy.

Speaking of Warm and Fuzzy:

Uff-Dah the Viking is still working on his winter coat.

Best to all, prayers to those in need.

A tired good evening, Chloe - I'll have a Santa Fe mug of coffee, please. Thanks!

jeffrey-wimberly
Personally I like the other description better.

I would agree with you, Jeff - more descriptive as the original phrase posted. Wink I've been keeping you in mind after seeing all the weather maps showing your area getting soaked every time we even have a front go just south of us. Shock

Garry, I'd just have to say about your story, that'snot funny! (Hehe... chuckling away here just thinking about that story...)

Sue, at a couple of our club operating sessions at members' layouts - with all operators in the room - we have still managed to have some 'over-runs' (so to speak...Whistling) Oh, and short answer for your question about ending? (As Rob said - "No..."Whistling) Myself, I know that in various corners of my living room (where the layout stands), there are those little bits of track that go flying 'ZING!' when I am cutting track to fit into a spot...Sigh (Reminder to self: do NOT walk around in the living room barefooted)

Jerry, thanks for that overall shot of your layout - I'd never seen your little pond in the corner there. It looks great. Are you gonna add some boys fishing at a future point? Thumbs Up

Robby - like seeing your yardmaster office again; haven't seen it since you bought it (a ways back). On the trees, one thing for the other kinds of trees that you could do would be to save up and catch the Scenic Express economy Super Trees kit when they are on sale in the Walthers flyer. The kit might make all the deciduous trees you would need. Our club bought the bigger kit, and we probably will never run out of them. We had one meeting that was a tree building party of sorts. Smile,Wink, & Grin

Ulrich, rest up and remember to focus on your longer-term plans (across the pond). Yeah!! By the way, excellent analogy with Peanuts' Pig Pen. Big Smile And as for the help you've been offered in here, it's what we do around this place, y'know?Cowboy

Congratulations, Ray - your judges sound about like when we have our biannual every two years) audits at w**k; they will dock us for stuff we didn't expect (of course at w**k, they come back around the next time and change it back to something else that we're supposed to do). Hmmm.... But anyway, happy for ya! BowYeah!!Bow

Chris, I'll second the comments on your dedicated (and very non-manly!) house artist (Kit). Thumbs Up Got to be dedicated to keep w**king through a power outage! And congratulations on sneaking the article past THAT editor. You don't get paid by the total number of words, do you? Nah, I knew it couldn't be that easy...Smile,Wink, & Grin

JR - nah, you'd only wind up searching through all those toolbox drawers to find THAT tool... Wink

So, Phillip - after explaining that 'new math' to your boss, you're still w**king there?Confused Your boss must be more flexible about feedback than ours at my office...(Oops, did I just say that out loud?)

Barry - that's a great true quote there (about compensation plans)...Whistling

Well, they're about to close here, so I'd best get this posted and be gone. Will see if I can get caught up the rest of the way in the morning (w**k has been ridiculously busy this week - today I saw six people during walk-in hours, and a crisis session about at quitting time. Left about 6 p.m. our time).

Blessings and Prayers,

Jim in Cape Girardeau

Thanks Joe. Well, we won, in two sets of OT penalty kicks. So we go to the championship tomorrow, and also I made my shot, lol.
