OK, Double RBF. Slow night at work not many people came in. Mostly pizza take outs.

Jerry- What can I say about the locos.Confused Maybe they don't know the difference. Good news about the cable though.

Rob- I might be into some of that drying savings after all. I ran it this morning after cleaning the vent tubes and the dryer itself of lint. Brenda came home and the thing doesn't work. Again. And what do you mean "I'd have a couple of weeks"???????

Philip- I forgot what I was going to say but I'd already typed your name and I didn't want to waste the effort.

Garry- (groan)

Grayfox- I sure hope the guys that sent your sprue 12 aren't the same ones who sent Jerry his locos. No telling what you'll get. Maybe 2 sprue 6's.

I'm going to get out of here before the shut us down for all the corn bein tossed around.Laugh

Prayers for those in need. Oh what the heck, for those not in need too.

 Good Morning,

Janie, a mug of decaf and a toasted bagel, please. I´ll sit at the RC to see who drops by...

It is a warm, but grey and overcast day. Did not sleep well, too many bad thoughts in my head. Silver wedding anniversary coming up and still no money in sight. Bank is getting uneasy about it... Don´t know where this will end.

How to get out of this depressed mood?

Good Morning All,

Yeah that's right it's all PC's fault - honest Vinnie I just want to sit over here in the corner and have a coffee and a blueberry muffin - really. I have no idea where that pile of corn and empty challanges came from.

Ulrich - hopefully some oppourtunity will show up. If the bank is nervous at least you have their attention and they will be inclined to work with you. I've heard that saying that when one door closes another opens. At any rate we're all pulling for you.

Gotta run - lots to do again today as the rest of the crew is back from Wisconsin. Catch ya later. J.R.

 Good morning.

It's 77 and cloudy here. The high will be around 90 and there's a chance of thunderstorms.

It's cool and wet here this morning with more rain on the way.We got a little under a 1/4" yesterday while Alexandria got 6" in one hour. Know what I'd be thinking if we got that much here in so little time? I'd be thanking God that it wasn't twice that in one hour!. My father is home today so he can take care of my mother. That gives me a day off. I'll have some time to go through my videotape collection and sort the ones I don't want anymore and toss them out. That'll make room for my rapidly expanding collection of DVD's.

Mornin' everyone!

Zoe I'll have a short stack of buckwheat pancakes with a side of link sausages and don't forget the NYS Maple Syrup.  Oh, yes. a cup of dark roast coffee in a R&GV Mug.  You can find me in the back booth trying to figure out why there is corn all over the floor and stacked in the front booth as well.

Oh, and Chloe, how about a short stack of buckwheat pancakes with a side of link sausages and don't forget the NYS Maple Syrup.  Oh, yes. a cup of dark roast coffee in a R&GV Mug.

Mornin,,,, an irish coffee please Zoe.  A cloudy damp day here with a fall like chill and rain in the forecast.

GMTRacing

Inch - good to see you stop in - it's a bit too early for the Irish type of coffee for me but I'll join you with my usual at the RC. Sounds like you've been too busy for train chasin' or photos but I hope all is well with you and yours.

JR,,, the irish coffee here isn't near as strong as the ones I have at home of an evening sometimes [I think Zoe uses artificial flavoring].

Haven't been out rail fanning much, might get some this weekend. Sat we're taking the 2 of the grandsons' home to Girard. Might catch something along the way

Plan on going to Altamont Sunday for the harvest festival. I'll get some steam pics there even if it is a tractor or two. Might get lucky in Effingham for a train shot or two. They also have a small MRR swap meet along with it as a bonus.

ROBBY,,, hope those interviews go well and you get something going.

ULRICH,,,, I have problems with tremors and cramps when uncle Arthur decides to visit like today. Doc's put me on muscle relaxers. You might say something to your doc bout it. Hope the job market turns around for you.

JERRY glad they got the phone working again, so you can call and get your wheels fixed. Those engines might make you some good trading material on smaller different ones.

PC,,, good find on the wienermobil.

Well best get back ta chores. All the kids are still sleepin, so the house is quiet [a rarity round here]. Plannin on some MRR time later. Thoughts for all those in need n hope ya'll has a gooden.

 Hi ,

I am back again - time to start with sundowners ( I shouldn´t pick up this habit, but today it´ll be like a medicine to me...)

Zoe, got something strong for me? CN whiskey? Ok, make it a double one for me...

All this talk here about hot dogs and wieners wets my appetite - I told my wife that we will have hot dogs tomorrow. You should see the one´s my wife makes  - if we were in the US or Canada, we could make a fortune with the hot dogs and burgers my wife makes.

Well, I´ll be off for the day - see you soon!

Well gentlemen, I have agreed to building on jsut my 4x8. However, I do still get my staging extension, and I can have a lobe at the end for a loop for a continuous running (not turnback) conenction. I'll draw the plan up soon. I also can add anm extra two feet to the end of the 4x8 if I need to, but I'm paying for the benchwork as well, sdo that probably won't happen.

Good Morning, Diners! Zoe, I'll have a ham, egg and cheese sandwich please, with some coffee in a Rio Grande mug, too. Thanks! Oh, and Todd didn't mean it like it might've sounded yesterday, he was talking about MRR'ing pictures, really!

Todd, ya gotta watch what you say around the ladies (and how ya say it...). Whistling

Robby, congrats on another sale of your w**k. Thumbs Up And will be keeping your interview(s) in my AngelAngel today.

Inch, sounds like you have quite a passel (spelling?) of the young'uns there lately. Thanks for the tip on the tools for the W-S kits, as I got four more of those in at Monday's MRR club meeting (smaller ones). I'll have to get the card file for sure, and might look at a new set of the files, as I've had mine for a while and I think they were in an old X-Acto set of tools, anyway. Looks like Yazee's gonna be a (great-grand)Daddy's girl, eh? Yeah!!

Ryan, that sounds like one interesting wedding, all right! Hope the bride and groom took it all with a good sense of enjoying the day, however it went. Wow!! After all that, it's likely their married life will seem tame by comparison...

Jeff, hope you get a chance to have a 'slow' day at some point this week - sure does sound like you are busier than most people with a regular job are. [whew!]Shock

Ulrich, take care of your self, lay off the coffee/caffeine some (and do whatever else the Dr. tells you to be doing), and take care of yourself. We'll be keeping you in our AngelAngel How's your weather been there lately, by the way? Are you getting any weather that our East Coast Diners are sending across the pond? Good to hear that your wife is fixng some good food for you while your upturn is still on the way. Dinner

Ray, good luck with the rest of your scenery preparations. How long until you have the 'testing' and photography of your layout? And when will it show up in MR?Thumbs Up

Hey, Garry, can you send some of that 'train rain' out west to me? I'm wanting a Mikado, USRA or Western type would be good. Wink

Rob - do you think the Doc was kidding you (sort of a 'bad news - oh, no, it's not quite that way' thing) to get you to take care of yourself (well, except for you already having done the peroxide thing...)? Take all of the medication he gave you, so you can kick whatever-it-is out on its can...  Good to hear that you both got things tended to. Thumbs Up

So, PC - is that new ride for your wife or your kids? Does that come with mustard or ketchup seats? Love it! Big Smile

pcarrell
Garry, that was BAD! Big Smile

Now, PC, do you expect anything less from Garry? Whistling Smile,Wink, & Grin

Dick, I fear that young (S)Noah might have discovered the fairer gender...Shock Duke, on the other hand is just dozing in one of the back booths, usually. Zzz

Sawyer - hope you get to actually build that layout and get more w**k done on it (keep up the good fight). Thumbs Up

Cloudy day here today in the Heartland - have had three people miss already. Oops Pretty sure that my 11:00 will show, as she called about needing samples on her meds (transferred her to the nurse to line that out) while she's here today to see me. Maybe the grey clouds are keeping everybody inside, dunno...

But it's payday! Nice thing was, I had a little extra left in my accounts for a change. Yeah!!

I'll be at the corner booth, figuring what gets paid first on the bills.

Blessings and prayers,

Good Morning, ladies? if it's not too late...a big stack 'o pancakes and a bucket of coffee please 'n thankya.

Another gray, cool, WET day around here. I'm supposed to be w**king on an article about Purple Martin birds and their condo/apartment style bird houses. Looks like THAT's on-hold another day due to weather conditions.

PC: My wife would be jealous of you...she's been a Weinermobile fan forever and then some! She was upset to see it (or one of its twins) had crashed into a house in Wisconsin...and angry when I showed her an article saying how PETA wants Oscar Meyer to scrap it. PETA chose the occassion of Mr. Meyer's death to say "its time to bury the Weinermobile." Class act...reallyDisapprove

SAWYER: Sorry to hear you've ended up on the losing end of your negotiations with the local govt. ('rents). But...keep in mind, eventually you will have your own place, where you can do whatever in the heck ya want. I only had to wait until I was 36...Whistling Hey, at least they're letting you do SOMETHING...that's better than nothing. Hang in there.

ULRICH: You should post your wife's burger recipie... As you may have noticed, I kinda like burgers!Dinner The absolute best homemade burgers I've ever had, were cooked up by "Fred." Fred is my sister-in-law's dad...which makes him....a good burger chef to me! Fred is from the NOLA area...don't know if that factors in to what he does to the meat or not. Maybe RYAN has some insight??

JERRY: Hoping Hoveround gets your power scooter scooting again FAST! Had any luck with the lift chair? Hopefully, it's just a bad controller...a 30 second change-out and back in business.

I suppose I'd best get to doing something resembling the concept of being productive... I've got captions to write/photos to edit. I also was assigned an investigative story about an assisted living facility, which dropped the assisted living not even a month after trumpeting it. I've got documents from the state about a complaint involving a "negative outcome" for a resident...so looks like they cut corners and it bit them. I can easily rack up some hours doing research on this. Good project for a rainy day.

Have a goodun,

ChrisEight Ball

Jim, I will when my layout project finally comes to the top priority (right now it is painting/ moving my little borther into my old room), I'll get my dad to take me to Lowes or the Home Depot and I'll get soem shelf brackets for the staging shelf. He's got enough spare plywood around here for the wood.

Chris, I actually olunteered to jsut go with the 4x8 under the condition I got the staging extension and the loop. I can visually see what I'm going to build, now for the plan. I should be able to fit my 12x6.5 nicely onto the 4x8, thoguh a couple of the spurs will have to be shortened. and some elements swapped around. I'll probably work on the plan this afternoon.

Good grief! I'm hearing a news item on the radio...a bunch of nanny-state do-gooders want warning lables on...Oscar Meyer hotdogs.Angry

I shall resist the urge to get up upon the soap box...but I see a potential rant on the social networkin' page real soon.....

SAWYER: Ahhhh, the art of compromise, well-done young Grasshopper.

ROB: Forgot to mention earlier, glad the doc has a handle on your problem...hoping it clears up quick.

I'm still trying to get to something resembling the appearance of being productive. The hazzards of w**king from home, I guess.

Yeah man. Like I said, I'm also the one footing the benchwork bill, I don't wnat to buy 2x4s for a table extension anyways, the brackets will be enough for me.

I got three big trash cans outside that are full of old videotapes. That leaves plenty of space on the shelves now for my DVD's. There's still more tapes to sort through but they'll have to wait. We're getting a bunch of rain here. At one point the clouds were so heavy it look like late evening.

Well I just got back from the interview, and boy what a waste.  I don't like temp. companys, and thats the last one I will even try.  They said I wasn't qualified for the job.  No experience.  The other jobs were to far away, and one I had before.  I still have a interview next Wed, and hopefully it goes better.  Dang temp. services Banged Head Angry Dead.

I did go by a LHS in the town, and picked up another Intermountain hopper.  That will be started on today.
