Afternoon all -
Hope this finds everyone in good spirits. I got to do some railfanning yesterday on my way home. Still have to do some research so I know what I was watching for power, but it was a EB mixed freight on the CSX Main just leaving a siding in the DeWitt Yard. Had what looked like to be 2 SD40's, but like I said, since they were 'leased' units, I'll have to go to the web and see what I can find on them to report it correctly.

I don't have alot of $$$ this time around as I forgot to mention that the furry 4-legged creature I call Chopper aka the cat, decided at some point between late thursday night and last evening to completely severe the cable for the mouse to my new computer, which means off I go to buy a new one this week.

Looks like everyone survived Father's Day weekend. Hope you didn't have to work too hard.[;)]

I passed through Orlando and Memphis yesterday. Hard to believe but it was less humid in Orlando than Memphis (Or as we call it: MELvis [swg] ).

Cleaned up n waiting on the DIL, so thought I’d stop n for quickie. The doc visit is just my twice a year check up, no biggy usually.

I’m not much for those blood n guts spook movies either. Still remember going over o the East Side Drive-in and watching all-night 50’s spook movies there. So much better back then.

Spent part of the morning listening to THE SHADOW KNOWS cassette tapes a friend of mine loaned me for a few days. I love those old radio shows. NO I didn’t hear all of them live, not that old, but did hear reruns. Time fur DIL, stop back in laters.

Things are getting back to normal. Funeral is over and wife is at home. She and the kids are going to the houseboat tomorrow for a long weekend. I'll be right here though. I have school to go to.

Hi Gang: I'm on my wayto the bathroom to try some new stuff I got for the poison ivey so this will be kind of short.

Inch and All: The wedding is my sons. I'm not really excited about it but everyone else is. Mary Ann is trying to get things together and I'm just trying to stay out of her way. Our daughter and the grandkids get in tomorrow. We have to pick them up at the airport in Dallas. That will mean we get up and get going about 6am. It is really bad when it takes longer to get to the airport than the flight takes.

I'm going to get on with the program with this poison ivey stuff. I'll see you all tomorrow.

PAUL I think it usually takes poison ivy about 14 days to run it's coarse. Count back to when you got it and then count foward for the 14th day and that should tell you when the itch should stop. If the itch continues past the 14th day then that means I was probibly wrong.

Thanks RT I do like G-Scale as well as HO. But I don't like the Garden Railroad Forum. So I don't post there.

But I really do think you guys are super. Hopefully someday I will get to know you better.

Another hot n sticky one here today, it’s also the first day of summer, could have fooled me, I thought it started already.

Neal , post all the G scale ya want, we all would enjoy seeing them. I posted a bunch of G pics last summer from Rockome gardens. After we were there, Mother said I could build a G layout, till she seen the prices, now it’s on hold till we hit the lottery.

RT , thanks for the tick info. I always hated those 12 an 14-hour days when I was farming, leaves little time for much else.

Paul , I found, when one of the kids were getting married,, it was best to find a good hiding spot out of the way.
Mother n and one grandson gets poison ivy easy [Jussy the worst], The docs gave Mother sometriamcinolone acetonide cream for her’s, cleared it up in a couple days.

Just had some thing interesting happen here. Heard a noise out side, looked and there was 3 coon pups under our mulberry tree and one skunk.
Coons thought they were going to run the skunk off, one of them got real brave and wanted to fight, which didn’t last to long.
I’ll just say it stinks outside know and the coons are gone and the skunks enjoying his meal.
Well got a bunch of chores to do today and best get at them. Thoughts n prayers for all in need.

my wife can relate to that. our felinefourlegger loves to take the thread off Mom's sewing machines and run with it. Some mornings you will find thread all over the house.

Hey, today is the longest day of the year, the summer solstice. The days will start to get shorter now.... oh well. Sundown at 8:50 pm is kind of late huh!

This is my Sunday, that happens when you work for a railroad, and I have tons of stuff to do. So I better get going.

Haven't stopped in for a few days, Been so busy the last few days, it isn't funny. [:(]
I got a working bug on Tuesday night and I started laying the Last few pieces of track, buuuut I ran out of joiners! So This afternoon I'm taking myself to the LHS to purchase some supplies to keep me going... I might pick up a couple of freight cars too, or maybe a loco [:D]
