I'll just ahve that banana split you all make with 36 different types of Icecream with the works yeah double the nuts fergie is buying and cherries too. oh its on sale this week for only 124.95 each heck give everybody that comes in one fergie won't mind and a tall ice water also don't want to hurt fergie to much you know . Evening all -
I see I just missed ***. Oh well, it's ok. I thought I was going to be able to give him some good news about our ball team, but as it turns out, those bums from the Bronx just tied us, 1-1, off of a solo shot by Bernie Williams.
Other than that, not much else is going on. Since I'm working 'nights' this week, I don't have alot of freetime, and what little I do have, is for sleep and chores (laundry, groceries, cleaning, etc).
Once I get some freetime later this month and most of next month, I'll get my dad's digital camera and post some pics of my rr equipment, albeit, nothing has been done to them since I bouth the stuff. Atleast this way, everyone can see what I have. I do have to do a inventory of it anyways, as I am sure there are some items I don't want / need.
Well, time to go again. have to do more work.

Good evening guys, spend the morning with the CFO cutting 3 acreas of lawn. Luckily we have two ride-on tractors, a 1980 Wheel Horse with 36" mower deck and a 1988 Wheel Horse with 48" mower deck. Between the two of us, we can cut all this lawn in about 2 hours. I use the smaller one which is clutch/shift model, the CFO loves the hydrostatic model.
The it was over to son #2's house again to work on the wall. Lifting those 80 pound blocks got a little rough today, as the wall is now at shoulder height. To get the last two courses on top, I made steps with a couple of blocks, but I still had to lift chest high.
I can't do any more along the back until next week, as we have yet MORE[V][censored][censored] rain coming in tomorrow, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This winter weather pattern is getting a little rediculous. At least I will be able to work on the layout.

MIKE You had quite a morning!!! Snoring can be very troublesome for both parties. I can't sleep on my back any more, otherwise I snore. I find that if I sleep on my side all is OK. I tried using those nose patches and they do work for easier breathing at night if you have any sinus trouble at all.

Well, time to go watch John Ratzinberger...Made in America.....talk later guys,

It is hot again. I can't stand it. The sun just burns into you. I have to repair some round bale feeders and that takes welding. By the time I get home it's in the high 90s and the sun just beats down. I'll try and wait untill Thursday morning when it's cooler.

I think that I'll give it up and head for bed.

Well the day has gone better other than the #$%^ biten deer flies, did get the maters, an half pole beans planted, rest the garden tilled, and some of the yard mowed with out many problems.

John, glad I could help with RR fix. Congrads on the retirement also. Family is always a good reason to move.

Back to the great outdoors n chores. Mother called an said Leroy an Jocko's teams are playing each other tonight, so it'll be a quit early to clean up day.

Good Afternoon Men,
Just taking a break from packing up the house and thought I'd stop by for the lunch special. Thanks INCH for the great photos. They go a long way toward curing my "I Ain't got no Trains to run Blues".
A note to JP, the kid is moving from NY to GA due to retirement from the FINEST Law Enforcement Agency in the country, the NYPD. We picked Lawrenceville as we have family there and we can all spend the holidays together. JP, you also hit it on the head with the severe storms in GA, I was having some concern about my train Shed ending up in someone else's yard. AND you are also right, it was a big Pain in the *** to go out to the train shed in the rain, snow, extreme cold etc. While the layout is down I am looking forward to getting my next version of the NYC up and running, this time with help from my two sons. The previous NYC&E layout was totally freelanced and more of a place to display my trains, buildings and scenery. It was a short on operation. Other than spotting a car or two at certain industries the layout did not extend beyond the shed as it had no staging capabilities. The layout was essentially four loops of track on two levels with some turnouts to feed various industries. While the layout did not have any sigficant NYC landmark scenes, I captured the big city essence using City Scene buildings from Bachman, some other large kitbashed buildings and an elevated subway track and station for my P-1000 redbirds. Mornin all; Coffee and a double shot of the good stuff Zoe, ya I know it’s early, but having a bad day and I mean bad.
Started at 3:30 AM, got work up, catfight under bedroom window, broke up fight. Went back to bed, couldn’t sleep, then noticed wife not in bed, wife on couch. Gave up on sleeping, get up to make coffee. Spill grounds, clean up mess, spill water, cleanup another mess, got to train room, blow light bulb on work bench, wife comes train room. Wife’s not happy camper, sleeping on couch because I was snoring again, She goes back to bed, go for cup of coffee, which I spilled, cleaned up another mess. Wife goes to work, house finally quiet. Wife calls, MIL, coming over and I can’t hide this time. Well MIL has left; maybe the rest of the day will go better.

Paul , hope some of those bumps bruises have healed up some.

Neal , like the rake an sickle mower. I learned to run and maintain horse drawn equipment as a kid. My uncle Howard, grandpa Lowe, and great-granddad Fritz made sure. A lot of memories there.

PC , we were waiting on you to get back to buril up a pot. Ya gettin the hungrys yet.
Don’t worry, next time I get the top, I’ll give to ya.

Grayfox , your ground there, sounds like the yeller clay here. I hate trying to do much in it. It’ll snatch your boot right off your foot some times.

For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives, read on. At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated, "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon."


In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued a press release: If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics (and I just love this part):


1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would cra***wice a day.

2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car.

3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this.

4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.

5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads.

6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single "This Car Has Performed an Illegal Operation" warning light.

7. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying.

8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.
