Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010
I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017

Subject: Microsoft vs GM For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives, read on. At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated, "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon." In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued a press release: If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics (and I just love this part): 1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would cra***wice a day. 2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car. 3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this. 4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine. 5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads. 6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single "This Car Has Performed an Illegal Operation" warning light. 7. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying. 8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna. 9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car. 10. You'd have to press the "Start" button to turn the engine off. PC Let me know next year when you go on vacation and i'll give you a going away gift. PAUL I have a cicle bar mower in my front yard. JERRY Sorry to hear about your Grandmothers dog. Hope he is doing OK now. No rain today and the sun is out full finally. Yesterday I came home from son #2's house looking like a swamp rat with mud all over me. We had 2 more inches of rain the past few days, and the clay is ankle deep in some areas making carrying 80 pound cement wall blocks very dangerous. In fact, on one occasion yesterday, I stepped onto what I thought was sold ground just as I was placing a block down, and lost everything as my foot sank into a mud hole. I am taking the camera over today to take some pictures of this project....at least I can enjoy looking at what you guys are doing with MRR and the great pictures that INCH53 ( MIKE ) is sending to get some solid enjoyment. OK, time to get out in yard to cut the grass before heading over to son #2's wall project, talk to you later, have a great day everyone, Dick If you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got!! Well, this will probably hit the top of the page, so I guess it'll be my turn again! At least you'll all not be able to miss that I'm back (and in my usual form,.....buying!). I see that most of you are doing well, or at least better then you were a few days ago, so that's good. Gumby, I noticed that you're not doing as well as some of the others. It's hard to see a life that was so promising pass on. I've seen it myself and I know that you don't even have to be that close to that kind of a person and you really feel the loss. This young man touched a lot of lives in his short time here. The thing is, I'm betting that he'd want even this to touch others as well. This is a time when those who were close to him and don't know God may be willing to hear his message. I would urge you not to waste the suffing caused by this event, and instead, use it to reach out to those who really need to know God's love right now. You'll benefit as well in that you'll get to know this young man a little better too, and you can be of service to others as you serve God in His real mission, reaching out to show people His love. And don't forget, we're always here for you. Philip SilverSpike Member sinceAugust 2002 From: Wake Forest, NC 2,869 posts Posted by SilverSpike on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 7:43 AM Line em up gals! Foggy and cool out this morning, glad we got some of the loading done yesterday. Spent the day rebuilding starter motors and machining the last little bits and pieces for the trip north. Spent the evening at the museum finishing the PA system wiring on the coaches but we still don't have our SW-8 mobile so the cars are still sitting and we can't reset them on the run around track. Today the "Little Engine That Could" entourage shows up which is what all this work has been for. The idea is a two weekend event where kids come in and hear the story, see the engine, ride the trains and spend money which the museum gets a cut of. I think it's time to join the grant commitee and look for maintainence and improvement grants for museums. Of course now the turntables acting up so that will probably be the next project once I find out what the bearings and wheels are supposed to be. Back to the library for more research. Still haven't had time to work on the RS-11 project and I really want to get cracking on that as well. Hope you're all doing well, has anyone heard from Luc T lately?
