Good evening y'all, how's it going?

Today has been a good day for me. I got down to the Maryland Vehicle Administration office to register for my vanity tags. In about a month or so, I should get tags that read "SBLOCO1" for my car.[:D] And I must say, that was the quickest I was ever in an MVA office before.[tup]

Then afterwards, I bought some Super Glue, and managed to fini***he first leg of one of my projects...Which y'all'll (double contraction...awesome) see soon enough.

Flip: No problem there man, if you have any other question, just put 'em out there.[8D]

GrayFox: You mean Microsoft still had updates for the Millenium operating system? I thought they stopped everything with that system...Since it is the most unstable of them all, so I hear. Ah well. I'll agree with you, computer prices are great at the moment. I've been thinking about upgrading my RAM myself...But I don't plan on going to Vista any time soon...I'll hold on to XP as long as possible.

[#welcome] Jessica!

Okay y'all, I'll talk to you later.

Scot- Thankyou for your reply. I have marked the page.

DUKE- Watch the weather reports! A T.S. is brewing and they think it will cause bad weather in west and central Fla. and then get into the Panhandle. Please be careful.

[#welcome] Jessica- ditto on what you model?

I Gang: I spent the morning doing the chaseing and taking care of the cattle. This afternoon I spent putting in the new breaker panel in the barn. That took until 6pm. You'ed have thought that a little job like that would take maybe 2 hours, I did. It took that long to chase down all the wiring. I ended up finding 3 circutes that didn't go anywhere. I had taken out the machines that they were for and never took out the wire. I also have to get about 60ft of #12-3/G to wire the compressor and milling machine. They take 220. I also have to hook up the big table saw. Again 220. If I can come up with a 3 phase converter I can get the other table saw going. That one is a real honker and it cost me $50 at one of the parks surplus auction. I could have had it much cheaper but the maintance director was bidding just to drive up the price. Yes; I did raise heck about that.

Nothing on the MRR front. I'm going to call Walthers Monday and ask about my back order.

Well I'm going to take a shower and hit the sack. The temperature was some where around 98 to 100.

Good Night All

Yet another cloudy day here in New England, but, at least it didn't rain today......YET. We have another rain storm bearing down on us, things are so green here that it feels like the tropics...ohh oh, I just looked out the window and it is raining.......looks like I just got all the weed whacking done in time.
On the MRR front, just received 4 Tsunami decoders from Tony's Trains, these will be rainy day projects after all the projects outside are completed of course...( CFO !!! ).

A big welcome to JESSICA.. [#welcome][#welcome], the tab is on me Jess, have whatever you like, but I think Duke ate all the Strawberry Rhubard pie, and MIKE ate all the Possum soup, and , according to Zoe, PC drank all the Moxie ( no great loss here Jess, no one else like Moxie anyways ).What guage do you model? What is the size of your layout, etc.

INCH53 Hey Mike, thanks for the tip on the rabbits of Springtime......I didn't know that....you are a virtual book of country cooking in the wild knowledge my friend !!!!

DUKE & BILL NORTH A sad day for Bikers here in NE, three bikers were killed on route 9 in New Hampshire on their way to the annual rally in Laconia. It appears that the lead bike crossed the center line and hit an SUV, then other crashed into each other. I know that you drive very carefully Duke, but road conditions can change fast in the rain with oil slicks on the road.

COMPUTER HEADS UP FOR ALL WHO USE WINDOWS 98 or ME

As of July 1st, 2006, Microsoft will no longer be supporting these OS with security updates.
I have used both of these operating systems, and did upgrades each time, the last being to Xp. DON'T waste your money upgrading the operating system (OS), buy a NEW computer. The prices of new computers are really excellent right now, and of course come with Xp already installed, which is far more stable than 98 or ME ever dreamed of being. If you DO buy a new computer, install 1 GB of RAM. You will need a MINIMUM of 512MB for the new VISTA Operating System due out late this year of early in 2007, so with the cost of RAM so low, it is utterly fooli***o install just 512MB, things will run much faster with 1GB. You can never have too much RAM.

RYAN An Eagle Scout !!! WOW, I am proud of you young man, that is no small achievement!!!!! ....[^][tup][tup][wow][bow]

That is it for now, we will be back in CS later
Dick If you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got!! Learn from the mistakes of others, trust me........you can't live long enough to make all the mistakes yourself, I tried !! Hi gang,

Ryan, looks like you and I are the only ones in here huh...

[#welcome] all newbies! (can't remember everybody's names though)

Just a quick note to let you all know I'm A&W. Figured I better come up for air, been submerged in that powerpoint effort for the past week - little time for hanging out online.

I see our arrested-development friend has been stirring things up here lately - bummer! Oh well the place has survived worse before, we'll get past this as well.

EDIT: Hmmm, lookit that, I'm "on top" - looks like drinks are on me! But there's nobody in here to take advantage of my open visa card, too bad....![:-^]

I had Brownsea training and was elected to the Order of the Arrow. Sure wish I'd have gotten those 3 badges and done my Eagle project now! [banghead] [D)]

[#welcome] Jessie2001!!! We don't get a lot of ladies around here. A few, but not a bunch.

Sounds like you're not exactly a greenhorn when it comes to building layouts. Well, you mention a partialy finished layout, so how about some details? What scale? What era? Prototype or freelance?

I think you'll find the coffee shop to be a nice place to hang out.

Dinner time, since PC insist on buying AGAIN, I’ll have a rib eye sandwich [MR], onion rings, slaw, an ice tea [unsweetened], and strawberry pie.

PC All I lacked for Eagle was 2 merit badges, wasn’t girls or cars, but my dad that turned me off.
My project was, we put a campground and picnic area down between the Darwin ferry, only operating ferry on the Wabash River and Dewey’s Fish shack on the W. bank.
Was tapped into the Order, got to make 2 trips to Philmont, 6-50 miler awards, the last one was my favorite. Went from Clinton, In. down by Evansville in a pirogue [flat bottom canoe] that I built and did the trip alone in 6 days.

Neal , when I said it was luck on the pics, I meant it. I went back n found 2 old pics, that I got.
East meets West, over at Cline Orchard crossing

Next frame,

That’ll give you an idea on luck, I’ve tried several times for another one, but ????
You also need a very understanding wife. Oh the W. bound was on the siding, if you were wondering.

Forgot to say I got my Daddy day present form Jamie and her kids. We came home with a yeller kitten. We had to put our ol yeller tom down last Thanksgiving after 17 years and they thought we needed another one. Really need to get to chores, haven’t got much done today, just lazy I guess

Mornin all, just some coffee please Zoe, I see you n Cleo were busy yesterday by all the post.
Trip went Ok , just long, and rail fanning photos was mighty thin though, not much going on anywhere.
Glad you folks are enjoying the pics. Kinda become a hobby now and Mother doen't complain to much bout stopping
Our county fair starts Sunday and with Mother being the fair sexytary, she almost lives there, so I don’t have a ride. What I get now will be when I slip over to the campgrounds, since it’s within walking distance.

Duke , have no idea what it stands for off the top my head, let me know please.

Jerry , sure hope you get ta feeling betters soon. Don’t hink you’ve felt good since the Golden Corral, you sure it’s the flu.

Neal
QUOTE: [i] Mike that is a great set of pictures you have posted. What kind of camera are you using? Infact would you give me a lesson on your secrets to the quality of your shoots?

I use a Kodak, CD33, and I wish I could tell ya some kind of rig-a-morrow, but it’s just pure luck and having the camera with me is all.

HEY Duke , never mind on the BMW thing JR beat ya to it. Thanks to both of you for the history, I’d forgotten it.

Grayfox , we found a place for pellets down to Flat Rock, and the guy will sellem to us at 4.25 by the pallet. We plan on getting 2 or 3 into storage next month for the winter.
Wrong time of year for rabbit stew, to big a chance for rabbit fever, nasty stuff to deal with, I’ll be glad to send you some of the coyotes that like to howl out back of our bedroom at night lately.

Silver Spike , you were sure in a good mood last evening, how is it today? Never mind, I see the bosses have returned; now you’ll behave.
Some where round here, we have an 1860 cookbook. Don’t know where Mother has it hid.

Paul , hate to hear bout the hay feeding this early. I’m those in the NE would be glad to send so rain your way if they could. Hope ya gets a break soon.

PC , you may be good inside, but would almost bet I can out do ya outdoors. Taught campfire cooking in scouts.

Well think I’m caught up, hope I didn’t mess something, if so, hollers back. Need to get started on chores, movin slow today, just sore n stiff from our day trip and a change in weather comin in. The fairs starts and a chance of rain moves in, normal here. I’ll try n get the pics uploaded later. Thoughts n prayers for all n need

Good Morning All,
Just a quick run through agin and a regular to go please Zoe. At least James and PC fight nicely. Not sure i wanted the shaken boot special Phil came up with though. Inch's road kill stew is about my limit. We have overcast skies this morning, but no rain yet - doesn't feel like it's far off. I'll take a couple of hours to finish off prep work for Equinox, then off to the hills. Hope the rest of you have a "gudden" . and I'll stop in when I return. CUL, [:D] J.R.
