Congratulations! And thanks for lunch!
BTW, I'm a close second this morning....
Hi Gang: I just droped in to see what was happening since lunch.
PC: I'll take a few ribs just to make you feel better. They do look good.
The train meet went well. I'm sorry I can't post any pictures since I didn't take any. For the first time in a long time I didn't take my camera or cam-corder. Usually I spend most of my time taking pictures and such and really not getting a chance to enjoy the meet. I didn't run my locomotive. My son did all the engineering and I rode wirh a friend of mine and visited. All went well and my narrow gauge cars stayed on the track until we were on the way to the yard to put them up and they derailed coming out of the station. No big deal but they just couldn't make it with out doing that once.
There is a train show this week end. I've got Saturday off so John and I will go then and I'll make a quick stop Sunday before they close. That's the best time to deal. I just hope that there isn't some rare piece that I just have to have.
I talked to the boss this morning about retiring on 2 Feb and he said that would probably all right with him. The fly in the ointment is that I have to take my 4 weeks vacation in Jan or loose it. No way that is going to happen. So I leave on vacation in the middle of December and come back and work one week and then color me gone. Now I'm getting butter flys about the whole thing. Nuts.
Well I'm going to cut and run. You all have a good day and I'll see you later.
dansapo wrote:Hey Any ribs left?
Plenty! Bring it on!
Just going through some of the posts.Whats up with Happy Jack? Being new to the forum, I take it he has had many screen names and likes to stir up a bit.Sounds like a winner.
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.
fargo wrote:Who's the chef, those ribs look great, how much$$$$ is this going to set me back??
I'm the chef, it's free, and grab a plate! You're late!
Somehow I knew that was going to happen!
I guess dinner's on me too!
OK, what's it going to be? More ribs?
Just a quick stop to drop off a joke

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010
I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017

This is a KCS Switcher between Baton Rouge and St. Francisville Louisiana.
Hopper train at a crossing in Hattiesburg, MS.
'57 DeSota Police car in Hattiesburg. No longer in use.
Circa 1900 Bank building in St. Francisville, LA. Now a gift shop and antique store. Still has the bank valt inside.

Oh nonsence! It's cool! I just hope they work for you and you guys can bond over them. A parent needs to be able to get in touch with his kids, and if this little "tool" helps that, then that's cool.
To all the "NEWBES"
For Inch, Fergie, Jeffery, Ryan, and all who have loveones and are recovering from any illness we keep you in our prayers.
General Anouncement:

I am giving you the same deal Pay the shipping and they are yours. There are several buildings in this assortment. E-Mail me at nealmelancon@att.net
RYAN: Great looking pictures, but who is the old man in the picture?LOL
I try to get in the CS as often as I can and I always try to read all the post. For those I haven't acknowledged I am still thinking of you. You are not forgotten.
We have a lot going on here and I really do have my wagon loaded. Holidays are around the corner so I am trying to get as much done before that happens.
Going to sign off for now...........Neal
