Good morning everyone one, anyone on a sugar HIGH yet?? I have been good, haven't touched a thing except my #3 grandson's ice cream Birthday cake last night...yup, that's right, yet another October 31st BD!!!

It is a nice 57F here this morning, clear blue sky today also, but we have an advancing front that will bring some real colder weather here tomorrow with up to 6" of snow further north in the Green and White Mountains. The snow might get down to within 50 miles north of us and west of us. This nice weather can't hang on here much longer, this is exceptional for this time of year here.

JEFF: When your little friend stops over, DON'T eat the candy he has with him...got to keep Glucose level under control young man.

MIKE: Did you shave your beard off?? I seem to remember a pic of you in the CS with a Santa's full beard? You have some real cute grandkids there Grampa, you must be very proud!!!

GT: That is one nice shop!!!! You must love coming to work each day.

DANSAPO: I have done some kitbashing, but my biggest challenge is about to begin soon, constructing an FP9 from a Kaslo Resin FP9 shell with all the add-on included in the kit, and, an Atlas early model ( Atlas part # 9100 ) GP-38.

CAPE JIM: The midwest seems to be getting a lot of rain and showers lately, if it turns colder, your going to have a snowy Winter.

Grayfox: I try very hard to avoid candy. The only kind I buy is the sugar free stuff.

A bit of tid trivia:

Today is All Saints Day. Forty years ago today the New Orleans Saints were officially announced as a new football team franchise, thus the eventual name was coined for them.

Halloween was fun last night; Ben actually went trick or treat with a friend this time. It was a busy night of Halloween activities in our neighborhood, we ran out of candy and I ended up making four batches of popcorn and bagging it up in small zip locks, the kids loved it. Hot fresh popcorn! Cheaper than chocolate candies too! Now I have a plan for next year, popcorn balls!

Got an email from Train Buddy local train shop, I have two more Walthers wye switches that arrived, so I will be making my bi-monthly trek to the train shop on Friday….and with gift certificate in hand too!

Dick, thanks for the birthday greetings. And I suspected that a 101K was something like that, I just hope that by the time I need to use my 401K there is still some K left, it might be 01K by the time I get around to it.

Rob, nice to see you in the shop again, and thanks for the BD greeting! Yep, time marches on and before you know it the years seem to fly by faster and faster… That sounds like the scare fest at the museum was a success.

Just got the report from the doctors office. My tests came back clean. No evidence of cancer in my system. They said just continue taking the medicine they have me on. So what I have is just a moderately enlarged prostate gland. It's a relief to know that.

It's raining here now, a sprinkle really. We're supposed to be having a 40% chance of thunderstorms today.

PC, you missunderstood what I wrote. The Saints were given the name because the announcement for an NFL team in New Orleans was made on All Saints Day, November 1, 1966.

The team was named the Saints on January 9, 1967 since the franchise had been granted to New Orleans on All Saints Day of the previous year.

What kinds of cars are you interested in? (Muscle cars, sports cars, hot rods, old cars, new cars, etc.)

What skill level are you needing?

Do you want a prepainted body or do you want to do some painting?

Stuff like that.

JEFF: That is real good news. Make sure you have a PSA test EVERY year from now on. If the PSA reading increase each year, that is not a good thing. At the present time, doctors want the reading less that 4.0, but some feel it should be less than 2.5. Mine was 6.1, it had climbed from 3.1 4 years earlier, and a biopsy showed that I had stage 2 cancer of the Prostate gland. Luckily for men, it is very slow growing, and can be treated very effectively these days, however, it is still the #2 killer of men. I didn't fool around with it, or radiation, I had radical surgery three years ago.

Good evening all....Its been a cold cloudy day here today....Cold nite I'll have a bowl of Chili and Diet Coke please...Ran a few trains today....I picked up GMR 07 at the little store here in town yesterday and thumbed thru it....and watched some things on Ebay...

Jeff....Glad to hear about your tests....I feel for you Sallie and I live on my SS she is disabled with kidney failure but can't draw hers because I am disabled and under retirement age...The model rail road is at the very bottom of the budjet but with picking up lots of used stuff, scratch building, and penny pitching I have a 2 foot by 40 inch "empire" Just like a real short line All motive power is 2nd or 3rd hand same for the rolling stock but thats part of the fun of it...Inch my good friend built the bench work for me on wheels so I can move it around making it easy to work on and my brother built a cover for it that I can fold down to hide it because it is in the living room..

Well Sallie is getting up from her nap and I want to watch the news..You all have a good one...Jerry

Inch: Nobody was as relieved as I was! My parents are happy, my sister and her husband are absolutely clueless about the whole thing and my young friend David was so happy he cried in joy when he heard the news. I know that with the deteriorating state of my health I won't live to be real old but maybe into my 60's. For now, I'm living each day as though it's the last, doing what I want to do, going where I want to go. I don't know how much time I have left and I'm not going to waste it sitting at home feeling sorry for myself.

Jeff, you are a real inspiration for many people who give up or feel sorry for themselves. I am real proud of you, I know the pain you are in, and yet you spread your knowledge to your young friend, and you share yourself with us in the CS. I sincerely hope and pray that God gives you many more enjoyable years.

We have a cold 25 outside now, but looking for sun, highs in the 40's, with a N,NE wind. Lows tonight of low to mid 20's

Jeff ,,, I know what ya mean. A good day for me is anyday I wake up an can get out of bed, is one to be thankfull for
 A great day is when  I can get all the have to chores done, work in on the layout all day and not worry bout this or that needed done.
A perfect day would be all that and not having to listen to the wife tell all the goings on and gossip when she gets home from work for an hour or so.
 I don't mind wasting a day so, some times it's a good thing to do, to just lay around n do nothing or just go fishing. I get to waste a lot of days playing with the kids
None of us know how long we've got, so ya make the best of the good ones and endure the rest. but always with some help and a grin along the way.

Becky's off the breathing machine now, and awake an doing ok so far. she still has the trak so she can't talk and that makes her mad, wants out of there bad. Still has a long way to go before she comes home.
Mom has her doc's appointment today and finds out when their going to do the other blokages, She's doing ok also, but still weak.

Greetings all,

Thought I would give you an update of what is going on in my world.

Well I have hauled two pickup truck loads of trains to the new homestead. Have asnother truckload boxed and ready for transport. Still have 2200 sq. ft. of garden railroad to dismantel and move.

To all the newcomers to the CS. back to the old ones that haven't been in for a while.

Prayers for those with health problems and prayers for those who have lost someone.

RYAN:I have two large boxes of 1:24 scale plastic autos ready to be assembled that you are welcome to. Just pay the shipping cost. Some of these I have owned for twenty years or better. If you are interested e-mail me at [e-mail] I'll need your physical mailing address. This is the same deal I made with Mike on some g-scale trains. It's not a bad deal.

Going to be mid December before my contractor in Mississippi can start on the next phase of remodeling. That will be the guest house. Then we will build the grarge on the front of the guest house, then we will start on the house.

We [MoM and me] needed a place to stay while in Miss. so we bought a 32' travel trailor to stay in while the construction is going on. Told MoM we would sell the trailor when we got moved. Now I think I will keep it and use it for some travel. So maybe after next year we will be visiting some of you guys around the country.

Have someone hounding me about selling him the trailor park and trailors. So I think I might go ahead and sell it to him. Then all we will have left is the house. I won't sell the house until we are moved to Miss.

Well it's getting late and I have a lot to do today, so I'll catch you'al later.
