Barley pop please dear,

RT , they're upgrading the forum, other than having to reregistor, I don't think it's that big a deal. The biggest one is, it take a subcribsion to get into some news letters, but in general most will still be available to all.

JimCG , it was KC, the 7 month old and the first time she'd spent the whole night with out mommy. I think it bothered mommy more than her.

I was wrong on the ball games, Leroy, Mon; Jocko and Leroy Teu.; Jocko Wed.; Leroy, Thu.; then the season is done here. I think there is 2 more weeks for the grandson in Paris, I'll be glad when school starts

Good Evening All,
Just runnin through before we go behind the moon and lose contact for a bit. Hope this all works out and gets back up without too much agita for our hard working webmaster(s).
Spent the morning working on DL701 1402 at the museum train yard, got the rest of the PC lettering off the sides and got the doors and hatches lubed up so they open without prying them. The insides are greasy and dirty but look mostly intact. The trucks are off our FA as the originals were so shot they didn't want to transport with them so there are no traction motors (the FA is ex NH,PC,LIRR and was used as a control car for double ender commuter runs so it only needed the controls and a small powerplant to provide cab electrics the rest was gutted). The plan at this point is to pump the fuel tanks dry and then get approval to pull the hinges and get the panels blasted, straightened and reprimed. We'll see how far the budget goes.
Learned how to run a chain saw this afternoon and pulled down a couple of dying maple trees in the side yard (no city slicker I, right? Just never dropped a tree before a storm did and then got someone else to cut up the remains and haul it off.) Even got a couple of hours in on the layout but mostly cleaning up so I can actually find the table top and workbench.
Impressive shots PC - that yard is just crying out to be modeled. Hope the rest of you had a goodun today. See you all on the flip side. [:D], J.R.

Mornin all, Coffee Zoe before ya lock the door for remodeling.
I figured the shop would be closed by now, guess they're getin a late start.

Paul I think it'll be PC, with the luck he has.

First thing this morn, I'm coming up with a way to keep the coons out of the trash cans, that are suppose to keep coons out already. Right after I clean trash up again.
hope every body has a better day than mines starting

Mike: I think that racoons receive speical training as younuns on how to open trash cans. We use the plastic ones for feed and they have even eaten through the sides of them. Mary Ann has an old wooden feed box that they have knocked the side boards our of to get to the feed. It's a contest beteween us and the coons.

Afternoon all and Janie how about a Pepsi while I try to post to the new forum.

The trip to Philly went well and had fun,but I was a little disappointed that there weren’t more vendors but then there were quite a few of the big name ones there. Would have liked to have more time but that’s the way it goes.

Ok,now to see if I can get this to post and look around on the forum.

Talk to you later

Duke.

WOW!!! look at this place!!!! Impressive renovations.

A glass bar with a working "N" scale layout in it. OH!!! Look!!! An "O" scale going around the car. That’s what? About 3 feet down from the ceiling?

I see we kept the old snooker table, Well, well, well. Will you look at this, a hidden top with a full HO layout covers the table when not in used .

The car looks longer and wider too.

Is That a new fast clock over the bar?

OK! Where’s the pool!!!!

Hey guys! Long time no post in the coffee shop. I still recognise most of the names, but I see there are a few new faces since I've come in last.

I've been fairly busy lately so I hadn't bothered to stop by, but I figured that a new forum means I should jump back in! I've done quite a bit since I've been gone, although not much of interest. I did attend the National Train Show in Philly though on Friday, it was pretty cool. If any of you who went that day saw a teenager walking around with a bright orange shirt on and small lettering on the shirt above the pocker that said "Southern Wisconsin Sandhouse Crew," you probably saw me. I had a lot of fun really, although I didn't think the show was as good this year as ones I've attended in the past (namely Madison, San Jose, and St. Louis), as there weren't as many vendors with "great deals" or anything like that. I did pick up a few things, but nothing spectacular.

Well guys, I'll probably be back in and out of here again every few days. I've been doing some more work on my module for my club, and once a get just a bit more done I'll finally post some photos like I've been promising for months now......

See you guys around,

Noah

Good evening, Chloe! Since Noah is buying, I'll have a nice root beer float, please. Big Smile [:D] Thanks, Noah!

The new paint color and changes look very nice, Chloe. Pass along my compliments to Elliott, Bergie and the rest of the crew that helped you with the remodel. I especially like the new glass case for BillT's morning donuts - that'll make it easy to see the ones I want in the morning (whatever Inch and the rest of the a.m. crowd doesn't eat before I get here, that is!)Wink [;)]

It was hot and humid in Cape G. today - 79 percent humidity and temps in the 80's (F).Shock [:O] Makes a guy ready for a cold root beer float, for sure! Yeah!! [yeah]

Sort of finding my way around how to do posts - had to ask Duke for some directions on where to start. Good to see that the smilies pretty much stayed the same familiar way. And amazingly, PC managed to miss the first TOP in the new and improved CS! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Well, that float was good, so I'd better do a lap or two around the outside of the Shop to work off some of those calories. See everyone a bit later in the week.

Blessings,

Jim in Cape Girardeau

Well, I see that many of the troops are back in the CS, so re-registration went well. The new layout looks spiffy, and I see that Noah and Duke got back from the show safe and sound with a few new items also, but they didn't tell us "what" yet.
We are getting killed here again with rough weather, we have had 3.5" hail, 2 tornados, 14,000 people without power, and some areas are now getting 3-6" of rain. Luckily it has missed our town except for the rains.
Might be a great day to head to LHS tomorrow !!!
I think I will check out the rest of the forum.

Evening all, barley pop Janie, been kinda dry here lately,
Shop sure is easier on the eyes with the remodel. I see [red] Bill T [/red] made it right in with the doughnuts.
Luct, hope things be going better over your way. How bout a game of snooker some time. Been awhile since i played. The closest I found to a pool, is the big mud hole over by the tracks and I'll pass on it.
Noah, good to hear from ya, sounds like you had some fun at the show.
Not much going on here, a trip to Danville was about a waste, after 2 hours, I still don't know why my salt is so low. I figure a trip to Indy is nexted
Been working on the layout some, still doesn't seem like I'm making much progress at times. I'll check back in laters maybe

Good Evening Coffee Clubbers

This is your intrepid correspondent, reporting in from St John's, Newfoundland.  We got here okay, unseasonably warm, that is it was until we hiked up Signal Hill.  Then it clouded over, the temperature took a dive, and it started to rain.  Fortunately I had some cheap rain ponchos in the knapsack.

Okay, just stopped to say hello.  Back to playing tourist now.

Hasta luego
