By the way PC, my one cat was mesmerized by your animation.  He sat there staring at it for 15 minutes and then tried to swipe it off the screen.

My little 20 pounder, Manét is currently sleeping on top of the suitcase I have been trying to pack all day.  He does this every time i pack to go on a trip.  He also gets very upset if I try to move him.  He seems to think he can prevent me from going anywhere by blocking my access to the suitcase........  He has also been giving me his sad face and "Meooow"  every time I walk by.  He should know that his favorite "pet sitter" will be stopping in several times to feed, groom, and play with him.

OK now this has been running through my brain all day:

"You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant
You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant
Walk right in it's around the back
Just a half a mile from the railroad track
You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant"

Chris, I wouldn't last Reporting one day before getting tossed out the door. I think 8 out of 10 things the Govt does is rediculous and one of the remaining two is usually unnecessary.MischiefLaughMischief

ROB: It's a challenge. I think I may be a rare breed of "journalist." I don't inject commentary, my opinion, or my "analysis" into the articles. I leave my political views at home. I just report what the boneheads do. In fact, "reporters" who do "analysis" really tick me off. It's like the talking head is saying "you're too dumb/stupid/ignorant to understand what's going on...only an educated, enlightened reporter like myself can break this down and explain it to a simpleton like you..." I don't watch TV news anymore...I end up yelling at the TV.SoapBox

The whole bridge deal just gets stranger and weirder. FEMA spent a lot of time working with the Sutliff Bridge Authority. Sounds like an "official" name right? Sounds like a governmental entity right? FEMA thought so. FEMA was about to give them the funds for repair...then *goofy gosh!* discovered that the "Sutliff Bridge Authority" was really a bunch of area residents, headquartered in a bar, that leases the bridge from the County for, I think (gotta double check this) a buck a year. Now, FEMA is upset because they can only give such money to a real govt. agency, not a bunch of people wanting to preserve their 100+ year old Parker Truss bridge.

I did ask one County Sup. WHY the feds were paying for it (either way), as-in, why are the feds funding a local project? He smiled, said he didn't know...but "isn't it great?" Disapprove

YOUR money guys.

I wonder how much time, money they wasted now that they have to start all over again. FEMA gal couldn't/wouldn't tell me much of anything, just kept repeating FEMA will either give Johnson County the bucks to fix it...or pay to tear the remains down. The word "parrot" came to mind...Whistling

Hey RAY, While Officer Obie is here, is he gonna take a bunch of 8 X 10 glossy photos with circles and arrows, and a paragraph on the back of each one???

Are we on the brink of the Trackside Diner Massacre?

Time for a quick cup of boot coffee, then time to refine the bridge story for THAT editor...

Good morning folks. Coffee time!  I've been busy getting jobs I've been "going to get around to" done ahead of a mrr visitor on Saturday.

Rob:  Check your PMs, I've replied to

Would you please post a longer view to include the switching area in front of the tunrtable & new building? Curious to see exactly how you handled all that. (I'm working on a very similar area and can use all the help I can get) Thanks!

2) I'm still quick enough that I'm not going to stop making off with other peoples pies.  They're gone before they even know it!

 Good morning.

It's 57 and cloudy. The high will be in the upper 70's and it will be partly cloudy with a small chance of rain tonight.

Ended up doing some yard work yesterday but knocked off after two trailer loads. No sense in overdoing it. My father wants the work done (being as it's in my yard) and I told him it will get done, but at my pace, not his! In other news, I'm looking for junk pieces of G Scale equipment. It doesn't have to be operational, just look halfway descent. I'm planning another outdoor static display. I'm in need of a locomotive (steam or diesel) non-op preferred as I can't afford to pay much, two freight cars (any type), and a caboose or small combine/baggage car. I don't care if the stuff falls apart when it's breathed on so long as it looks halfway descent. After all, it's not going to move, just sit in one place. Those interested in helping me with this can contact me by PM. More layout cleanup work today, hopefully. I still have some tools and materials to sort out then I'll be ready to place some structures in their final positions with lighting in some. Getting under the layout to come up through the access holes is the fun part.

Spent the last hour or so working mostly on MY layout. Decided to simplify some things, like allowing the trains to work grades, rather than fooling around with leveling everything off. Functionally I think this will be more prototypical, even though there is little else about my layout that falls into that catagory. Need to take some pics and get some opinions from y'all, especially for the 2 industries.

Good night.
