I've been working on Hyce Machinery, a backdrop structure in White River Junction, VT, on my HO scale White River Southern Railroad.

An overhead view. The disconnected track to the left of the frame is the remainder of their once-long spur, truncated when the track was realigned to go inside an addition to the original structure. (actually the tail track for the DDWH interchange on the other side of the backdrop) Only three dock doors are active, the ones closest the the right of the photo near where the spur joins the mainline.

That's the White River Jct. locomotive terminal in the foreground.

All done exams here. Back to regular classes on Monday. No MLK day for us! And this isn't private school...

Yes, it's private school. It's reading day, which is basically a day where you can go in for extra help and whatever. I would go in for help in english, but he would only say "study and know the odyssey." I hate him so much. And if you call the odyssey 'a book' he like, gets all offended and goes on a rant about how "it's an epic poem, not just a book"

LOL, we've already done the Odyssey. Little weird, but not all that bad. The final battle is good.

Well, this sucks. i've got pictures of my industries, but what i had hoped would work didn't, and the only computer i have access to right now has no SD card slot.

we did part of the odyssey and it was nice. no school moday for me so i get to pratice band. YAY.

Not only is monday MLK day, but it's optional, so I don't see why anyone would want to go. For those who like math, think of it this way: Optional=No School

I would have ran, except the fact that I was just about carrying my locker home. Except in a smaller way, where it's even harder to fit my books ;-)

ah. that explains it. why ya'll have an optional school day on MLK day, I have no idea (unless it's a private shcool).

Sawyer, great job!

It is currently -5 with a -15 wind chill. I walked home 1/2 mile UPHILL from the bus INTO the wind...

Band exam was SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy!.

For the rest of my exams next week, I have them in the best rooms with the best possible proctors. Monday: English- Room 214, World History- Room 111.  Wednesday: Geometry-Room 222, Spanish- Room 217. Thursday: Theology- Room 214, Biology- Room 218. All of the proctors happen to be my teachers (who are all amazing), except the one in 222. IDK who she is, I just know that she's a nun- yes, our school still actually has nuns.

I'm actually going to do some work on the layout now. Giong to see a movie later with like, half the freshman class. No school Monday- It's reading day and totally optional, so I'm obviously NOT going. No school Friday cuz its make-ups and conflict exams.

Yeah, we got a 4 day weekend here (today is a teacher workday, Mon. is MLK day).

Sounds like a fun way to walk, you should have jogged Wink

The ALP-44 on ebay went up to $92, so I can't get it anymore. But I'll just get a Comet V kit instead for $60.

Nice weathering Sawyer!

It's gotten pretty cold here too. The lowest was last night, at -26 Celsius (-15 Fahrenheit). On Tuesday it was sooooo windy. Weather was saying not to go outside with skin unprotected, because it felt like -35 Celsius (-31 Fahrenheit). When it git down that cold, Celsius or Fahrenheit, it really don't make too much of a difference! Wink

I'm glad I'm not skiing today... (I ski every Friday with a group of other homeschoolers) I'm fine now, but it was -2 degrees outside when I got up at 6:30 today... I don't envy the kids who have to wait outside for the school bus, or worse, walk the school... Tongue

Sawyer, the weathering looks good! Certainly came a long way since that F7A! Thumbs Up

Well, only pics are of my yard. Left for winterjam before I could take pictures of the industries and such, so look for those tomorrow.

Here's my Conrail boxcar:

C-liner at the head of a train (normally, my U23B would be heading this, but it is currently in pieces awaiting weathering powders):

Enginehouse:

looking from the back:

Close-up of the train:

Close-up on the C-Liner:

Looking across the tracks:

Got to do a touch of railfanning tonight as well. TRhere's a CSx line right across from the parking lot over where winterjam was, and a train came by. the front unit was probably a new GE unit or something, but the trailing unit was a B30-7 or something that was still wearing some old CSX paint (the gray, blue, yellow, etc.). Didn't have my camera though. Oh, and I saw tobymac walking in as well, lol.

Well, I was in the middle of typing a reply, but my computer decided to be retarted and close the window...Banged Head

I'm too lazy to retype it now and I have to study, so I'll explain our band and history classes tomorrow. Dang. I just realized that I won't have another history class for two weeks.Disapprove

Yeah, we have the best band teacher... After our May concert we just hook video games up to the TV in his room, or watch youtube, since theres no concerts left to play except the really simple graduation music. Tomorrow we have a 7am rehearsal, because the way the classes are split, the only way to see both groups at the same time is to have a rehearsal before school, but its all good, because we get the period in class off to do whatever we want, like play cards, or take inspirational trips to Brighams Icecream!

We barely got anything overnight.

Alex, is that seriously your exam? 75% of ours was our concert, about 10% is playing scales. The last 15 or so % is counting rythms and "Fat Cats Get Dizzy After Eating Birds" (order of sharps). Our class is so easy, it's a joke.

Well, have to study for exams, so I'm out

Lewistown, Pa is awesome! We had a 2 hour delay today, tommorow school is already cancelled, and on monday we have off for Martin Luther King Day (God bless his soul Angel) happy b day to him while it lasts. For my layout, all I need is a piece of B/C plywood, or 7 1x4s the B/C plywood will probably cost less so I'll go with that. I'm waiting on my pikestuff kit that is supposed to come in. Hope your felling better tyler!!!

This post has come to you from Lewistown Pennsylvania!!!

 BigBlueConrail, ALP44 looks great!

Well, I'm hopefully going to build that building and weather my U23B this weekend (probably start both tomorrow, might finish the U23B then as well). BTW, I swear there will be pictures by the time the weekend is over.

Looks good! That reminds me, I know I just finished saying I don't do passenger but, I really would like to get my hands on some Horizon cars. I have one undec, and I was hoping Walthers would come out with them again...Sigh

I want to model a six car train of these, but it there are quite a few modifications to do:

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=174767&nseq=20

I have this train already from Athearn. Ok looking, runs like krap:

I'll try to post the Rapido thing in a separate post. We'll see what happens.

I tried to post the entire Rapido Telegraph, but it apprears that this place (or at least my posts) are now being moderated... I probably ain't supposed to post advertising stuff here... ShockDisapproveAshamed

You're not being moderated... It's a bug... I've gotten it before, and it is definitely a bug. I notified a moderator about the bug, they confirmed it and approved the post. Try posting it again; this bug is completely random when it appears.

Whatsup guys.

Just got back from our game (that I only found out about this morning...) We lost, but I scored- 1st career goal.

Anyway, nothing new. Probably same tomorrow, may not be able to check in either. Got confirmation then study for band exam, which other than today's bio test, will be the easiest test I've ever taken.
